The food was good reasonably cheap, service was friendly show us what best on the menu, clean atmosphere and spacious

I'd like to highlight their exceptional customer service. I frequent this location primarily because of the excellent service and their menu options that accommodate my food sensitivities. Being able to accumulate Que Rewards is an added bonus. We often visit on Sundays because my husband loves the complimentary Blue Bell ice cream. The servers always greet us with the brightest smiles when offering Sunday ice cream and fresh, hot bread. There is ample seating, including comfortable booths. When you arrive, you order in line, pay at the counter, and then choose your seating. They also have a private room in the back that's available for events. They've graciously allowed us to use the space annually to host the Fort Bend Junior Service League informational meeting. The room is even equipped with a TV for presentations, which is incredibly helpful. I especially enjoy the music they play on Sundays -- it creates such a feel-good atmosphere. What's not to love about BBQ? My go-to menu item is the ribs meal, though I occasionally opt for a combo plate. My favorite sides are the potato salad and green beans. My husband is a fan of the pinto beans and can't get enough of their fresh, fluffy bread. We visit about once a month for lunch or dinner -- and it never disappoints. read more

Spring Creek Barbeque - Barbeque Near Me - Missouri City, Texas

My family and I decided to get takeout from 3 BBQ places off of highway 6 within 10 minutes of each other to see which one we liked the best, knowing that the ones nearby are a far cry from the top rated places in Houston. I'll admit that the dine-in experience might not have encountered the hiccups we ran into for takeout so we should give leeway for that. The restaurant has a casual vibe to it and the staff is energetic and friendly. We ordered a 3 meat plate with brisket, baby back ribs, and mild sausage. For the sides, we had mac n cheese and coleslaw. We also ordered a peach cobbler with ice cream for dessert. While waiting for our order, we were offered drinks and their dangerously yeasty dinner rolls. Here's our verdict on the food. Brisket - the slices from the point were nice and tender but the slices from the flat were a little dry. Could use a little more seasoning. The people who got the flat raged this brisket lower than the other 2 places and the people who got the point rated it 2nd place. Baby back ribs - these were good Sausage - wasn't my favorite since it had the consistency of a hot dog and not a lot of flavor other than salt Mac n cheese - very unforgettable and bland Coleslaw - too sweet Peach cobbler - good but my sister thought there was too much crust Overall, it's an ok BBQ place with some hits and misses and good for a casual night out with the family. read more

I finally came here at the recommendation of my colleague after she told me about their BOGO deal with their dinner. This location is right close to my house, so it is very convenient for us. The food is very consistent. I love the brisket and the sausage offerings. I'd say the sides are nothing too fancy, and only the salty side. And at $19.95 a plate, I would say it's on the steep side. However, with the BOGO deal that seems like be offered consistently, it is a great value. Their kids' meal is one-meat, two sides plus a drink for $9.75 is a also a great deal. Their rewards program also consistently offers $5 credits as well as free cobbler & cream or pecan pie with a scoop of Blue Bell. A neat thing they do here is make fresh dinner rolls multiple times throughout your visit. And the friendly face will come to your table and offer the hot bread every time they finish making it. The bread is nice and hot; however, maybe an offering of honey to go with it would enhance the taste. All in all, since I've "discovered" this place, we have come a handful of times and it's a great spot for quick BBQ - family-friendly, budget-friendly (with all their deals), and we will be coming back very soon. read more

Awesome place to eat Awesome Assortment food Awesome customers as always day in and day out.

Who's supposed to eat that huge baked potato!!! I ordered the brisket and sausage dinner with a loaded baked potato for $18.95. I was able to split this meal and eat off of it for 2 days!! The potato was HUGE but somehow fell short. The serving size of this dinner was very reasonable for the price I paid and if you practice portion control, 2-3 meals could easily be made from it. I chose to place my order to go because I was pressed for time. While you wait for your order, you're offered a complimentary fountain drink. I always like to get the peach tea but it was barely enough in the dispenser to make half a cup. I had to pour unsweetened tea to fill my cup the rest of the way. It didn't take too long to get my food and everything was as I expected; kind of. The brisket had enough marble on it and both the brisket and sausage were very moist. The baked potato, however, could have been cooked a little longer and perhaps seasoned all the way through. If not for the toppings, the whole potato would be bland. I've had baked potatoes seasoned all the way down to the skin. Maybe it was just an off day for them because their potatoes are not usually like that. Overall, the meal was tasty. I'm definitely willing to try the potato again on my next visit in hopes that the next time Mr. Potato meets my expectations. read more

so I ordered the ribs and they were very dry. if you look at the ribs in the photo, there's no glistening moisture as God intended. The coleslaw tasted like it had kale in it and has some unidentified green items in it that does not belong in cold coleslaw. I was hopeful about the macaroni and cheese, yet another disappointment. My friend got a basket, Oh fries and somehow those weren't any good either. It has been decades since I've been to a spring Creek barbecue and I feel like I came back too soon. read more

Solid 3.5 stars. Usually you don't have to wait since it's a big place. Pros: Meats are pretty good, especially the ribs - good flavor and fall off the bone. Bread is free, so fresh and tastes very good (I would come here just for the bread). Cons: Sides not that great. The corn on cob was so bland/not fresh. Green beans also very plain. Portion sizes match the price. Some staff are welcoming, others look like they don't want to be there. Ambiance reminds me of Outback Steakhouse. Are there better BBQ places in Houston? Definitely. But this place is decent. read more

Always love Spring Creek Barbecue. I typically get the marble brisket and regular sausage plate.

Only the second time I've ever eaten here. First time (years ago) was ok but the marbled brisket was way too fatty. So today I went in for amother pound of brisket. The "mixed" brisket was dry and tough. I don't ordinarily use bbq sauce but this time the meat needed help. At $28 per pound I expected better. I'd give their brisket a 5 out of 10, and that's for a "chain" outfit, not a top tier Texas Bbq. Service was slow but the staff was pleasant and offered a free roll and water while I waited. read more

I like Spring Creek a lot, but is it the best BBQ in Texas? I've had better, but Spring Creek is good and pretty consistent. On this visit I enjoyed the three meat plate and chose brisket, St Louis ribs, and black pepper sausage. Everything was good, and I especially liked the ribs. The meat was firm but tender and easily pulled off the bone. Nice seasoning rub and warm BBQ sauce. The meat server person was not very welcoming on this visit. He was very abrupt and barked at the customers. He seemed annoyed and in a hurry to take my order and get done. There was no need to hurry as there was no one behind me. That customer service was not the impression that I would want if I were running the restaurant. And service can be a deal breaker in this business. read more

Stopped by for lunch and ordered the lunch plates of brisket and side orders. Half of the meat for each plate was tough and tasted like wood shavings. The bad meat was marked with red circles. It must be old meat leftover. The other half of the meat was good. All side dishes were tasty. Bread rolls were warm and fresh. Such an underrated place. Great food, great vibe, free rolls that are great, etc. been one of my favs since childhood.

Beyond Disappointing. I picked up 3 lbs of smoked turkey breast the afternoon before Thanksgiving. Unfortunately I didn't try it before serving it to my family and in-laws the next day. It was a disgusting over processed, water injected turkey roll. To call it lunch meat would be an insult to lunch meat. At $20 a pound. I expected real smoked turkey breast. I called the day after Thanksgiving and spoke to a manager expecting he would say that they had run out of real turkey and had to use this in an emergency but instead he told me that is what they always serve. I have eaten there many times and been happy with the brisket so I was shocked that they would serve this processed lunchmeat and call it smoked turkey. Don't buy smoked turkey breast at Spring Creek barbecue. Any H-E-B, Kroger or Boarshead lunchmeat turkey is far superior to this processed turkey roll they are selling for $20 a pound. read more

Our district blessed us with a $10 gift certificate for appreciation. I stopped in during lunch hours to spend my gift. I believe I paid 11 cents total to cover the rest. Anyway, I don't eat meat. Y'all knew that already right? I ordered a baked potato with everything minus the bacon and sour cream and a side of mac & cheese. How is the potato so big?! It's huge. It definitely got the job done for my hunger pains. Two people can definitely split it though. The mac & cheese was rather bland, a lil salt and pep does the trick though. They have good lunch specials, so if you're hungry and don't want to spend too much- stop by. read more

Here's the important item -- the barbeque is always tasty. I was at the Missouri City location last night, but I've eaten at least at five locations. I like that they can accommodate a large group in their side room. I also like that they'll bring around fresh, warm rolls while you're eating. It's always felt a little pricey, but now everything does. My main complaint rose up again last night. I got there at 6:00, and they were out of baked potatoes. This is maybe the third or fourth time I've been at a Spring Creek -- and not just this one -- where it has run out of potatoes at dinnertime. The place has slid way down my list of barbeque places just because it's so often out of potatoes. read more

I am the person who NEVER does reviews (good or bad); however, this time I had to. It had been years since my family had Spring Creek barbecue and when we did frequent there, the food was always well prepared well and the taste was great. The portions served were great. So as I was in the mood for barbecue, I suggested we do DoorDash and order Spring Creek. We ordered two 3 meat plates and one baby back ribs plate. The 3 meats plates (sausage, brisket, ribs) were very skimpy on the portions, but I will admit, it was tasty. The baby back ribs plate was portioned well. What made do this review was due to the desserts we ordered. We ordered one chocolate cream pie and one pecan pie. The chocolate pie was descent, could have been better. But the problem lies with the pecan pie. It was totally burnt and should have been served. I was totally disgusted and disappointed to think anyone would serve something like that. This pie should have been thrown out, not served. The pictures speak for themselves...very disappointed Spring Creek. read more

Order twice, both were sliced breskit, first time was wonderful, the fatty part got jelly texture, melted in your mouth. But tonight I order again, it was horrible. It had been awhile prior to this December 2019 visit eating at a Spring Creek BBQ. A decade maybe because the last visit was terrible. First sign to me that BBQ will not taste like BBQ is not smelling any BBQ. At least during my last visit, there were hints of BBQ in the air, so my expectation was that it would be decent. My purpose for this visit was to attend a Holiday party for an organization I'm apart of i.e. free food. It was crowded! The line smacked me in the face soon as I entered! I was told that I needed to sign in the group room and get my ticket before getting in line. Not that Spring Creek had anything to do with that process, but I felt bad for the paying patrons who were not part of our group and had to wait behind us. I think later on, they decided to take diners orders at the take out counter, but by then, the line had died down. This definetly could have been better executed, but as far as the food-superb! Portion sizes were HUGE! The half chicken entree is like three meals! I was really burned out on chicken, so I decided to get the baked potato with peppered sausage as my entree. The sausage was so good!! Not too spicy or hot. Not a bunch of fillers in thw sausage. Very delicious! I enjoyed the baked potato as well, which waa baked to perfection and had chives! Thank you because chives make the potato! The finishing touch to the meal-fresh warm baked rolls delivered to your table! Although it was too crowded to sit in the group room, there were plenty of clean tables to choose from outside the group room. The noise level was very minimal despite the crowd and I was able to have a conversation with some members I met with ease. Great stop to get a BBQ fix in a pinch. read more

Always a YUMMY from me. Love their salads, brisket, and turkey. Need to try the ribs.

Bbq.... and mmmmmm ice cream! This place is great because you can get a BBQ dinner with two sides for a reasonable price. Did I mention that the sides are refillable... Like what? Like where? OMG, that is so clever! In addition to that they have fresh baked bread (a weakness of mine) in heavy rotation. And they taste sooooooooo good! Mmmmmmm... And with the butter... I mean I went to heaven several times off bread alone. And to top it all off, complementary Ice Cream. Do they know how to care of you or what? You leave Spring Creek stuffed and ready for a long nap or a good night's rest!!!! Lol read more

Mmmmmmmmmmmm meaty goodness! I love me some good ole fashioned bbq! Spring Creek BBQ has taken the idea of good old bbq and has made it into a well oiled machine. You walk in and are immediately herded into a cafeteria style line. From afar you can hear the chanting. The servers on the line have a retort for everything you ask for. It's actually a little distracting the first time you go in and everyone is chanting. We made it through the line quickly and found a place to sit in a quite crowded dining area. We've actually been twice now and the second night was 'spirit night' for a local middle school. The food: Ribs: The ribs were pretty good but a little fatty. The bbq sauce was very good. Turkey Sandwich: not bad. I'd get it again. It comes as sliced turkey on a bun. The turkey had a little fat on it but my husband really liked it and thought it was quite tasty. Ham Sandwich: This is my favorite. The ham is delicious and with the bbq sauce, it's just perfect. Cole Slaw: The slaw was very good! I don't even like slaw and this was ok with me. My husband really enjoyed the slaw and thought it was done perfectly, not too much vinegar. FF: The french fries were just so-so. They could definitely improve on that. Banana Pudding: not bad, if you like banana pudding, definitely try this tall serving in the old fashioned sundae glass. What to avoid: Mac & Cheese is flavorless!! Corn on the cob had all the life sucked out of it by the water it was sitting in. Flavorless!! Pecan Pie: Their pecan pie might as well be straight from a box. The filling was like syrup and was gross. Avoid. There are two types of BBQ sauce. The more savory one is self serve and the sweeter thicker one you have to ask for but at no additional cost. I loved the sweeter one, I just have to remember to ask for it. I love the fresh hot rolls. You can get as many as you want and they practically shove them at you as they walk around. Don't be shy, get one for the road, as they say. They are little mini white bread loaves and are yummy! The peach cobbler is purchased at a separate counter. I wish I had know that the first time we went because we got other desserts and were sad to see the other counter. The peach cobbler is heavy on the crust and light on the peaches, but still is very good, especially with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. The service here is very good. I was impressed on how employees were attentive. They cleaned tables quickly and efficiently. They bring you anything extra you might need. Managers are greeting tables in the dining area. Service definitely bumped this place to a 4 star experience. Don't let your eyes think you can eat more than you can. We ended up with a huge bill for two of us because we wanted to try everything. You can always go back for more! I wish Yelp had an audio and video upload area so you could hear the chanting of orders and rehearsed replies. Strange, but it's a gimmick that seems to work for them. read more
