Had high expectation as i love Heirloom BBQ and Spring received Michelin but this is a miss for me. Food looks very traditional Korean but flavor is odd and ingredients were lacking. None of the sides were good, egg souffle was salty, and sundubu barely had any tofu. Only dish that I liked out of all the dishes ordered was the kalguksu but nothing outstanding that I would go back. I can see that the target market are people that are looking for Korean food in Marrietta as it is scarce.

I'd been hearing great things about Spring 2nd Branch, so my partner and I stopped by on Saturday. The staff was friendly and seated us toward the center of the spacious dining room. The space isn't filled with traditional Korean décor. Instead, it has a humble, modern, almost minimal vibe. We ordered Haemul Pajeon ($17.99) for our appetizer. My main entree was the Jeyuk Bokkeum ($25.99), and my partner chose the Seolleongtang ($18.99). The Jeyuk Bokkeum (spicy stir-fried pork with lettuce wraps) was one of the better versions I've had in Atlanta. The sauce had great flavor (but it wasn't spicy), the pork was tender, and the fresh lettuce came with jalapeño and garlic slices that made each wrap taste delicious! I do wish the pork was coated in a spicier sauce though. The Seolleongtang (a milky ox-bone broth with somyeon noodles and beef) was creamy and comforting, with tender pieces of brisket and shank. The Haemul Pajeon (a seafood and veggie pancake) arrived when we were almost done with our main entrees, which we didn't mind. It was much thicker than other pajeons we've tried and packed with vegetables. The edges had a nice crunch. The dipping sauce was too salty, so we mostly enjoyed the pancake on its own. Overall, we liked Spring 2nd Branch. The prices are on par with the Korean restaurants in Duluth. Even though it's a bit of a drive for us, we'd consider coming back and trying more dishes the next time we're in Marietta.

Kimchi, beef and pork dumplings. Well made but the kimchi took over so I didn't really taste the meet at all.

Great customer service, food was interesting and delicious, it was a nice chill vibe. I would come again. 3 minute walk to Marietta square.

So glad I was able to finally try Spring 2nd Branch! I enjoyed the Dubu Dolsot Bibimbap. My meal came with banchan that is served first. My server was amazing and went above and beyond answering all my questions, she was very knowledgeable of the menu & personable.

Ordering through their website was easy and the food arrived surprisingly fast, which immediately lowered my blood pressure. We ordered a teriyaki chicken bowl and the beef MeatBowl. Portions were generous, especially the protein. One came over steamed-fried rice, the other over noodles, and both were flavorful and satisfying without feeling heavy. Thanks to them I managed to practice yoga, eat a proper meal, and still show up to my client session as a functioning human being instead of a travel zombie. Unfortunately, it would take some time to replenish the belt so we found ourselves asking the waitress for multiple dishes in the meantime. We ordered a variety of proteins but found the steak bulgolgi and signature steak to be the better choices. The others were a little bland or off putting. Almost everything burnt onto the grill right away but staff were on top of changing it out frequently. Overall, we had an okay experience. The staff was great but the quality of food could was middle tier. Atmosphere was otherwise chill but someone was definitely in their feelings because all they played was Rihanna, which I didn't mind.

They had a deal for $5 for 5 sides where you could get a whole trayful of tteokbokki and a good deal on their "Seoul bowl" which was a meat, 2 dumplings and a side. I understand that the economy has changed a lot in the recent years so they could not maintain their prices. However, I found that the quality of food was also declining while prices continued to rise. This last time I visited, I got the kimbap and bowl (pork bulgogi and japchae). This was one of the most disappointing experiences I've had. The kimball was falling apart, so much that it was difficult to eat. When you went to take a bite, all of the contents fell out. The bulgogi and dumplings were fine but the japchae was very bad. Like I said, I've been coming here for years and I have *never* seen the japchae look like this. It was dark and chewy like rubber. It was so bad that I couldn't even finish half of the side before I called it quits. I did reach out to the restaurant soon after and they were very apologetic and offered a refund. I am just disappointed that one of my favorite restaurants is changing so much. Additionally, they updated the menu recently and took off some items that I previously enjoyed (like the potato tornado). Most of all, I am disappointed in the tteokbokki deal. It is now $2.50 for 4 rice cakes (you can count them in the container). And I am also sad that the japchae wasn't good as this was my go-to place for Korean japchae cravings.

My broccoli was fridge cold, which is common in this establishments. They also have Gimbap, which I used to joke around are korean sushi rolls. The quality of the meat is decent, though not always as tender or flavorful as you'd expect from a traditional Korean BBQ spot. Some of the marinades are good, but others feel a bit bland or lacking in depth. The side dishes (banchan) are a nice touch, but they can be hit-or-miss in terms of freshness and flavor. Overall in all, KPop BBQ To Go is a solid option if you're craving Korean BBQ and need something quick.

The Korean fried cauliflower is another hit crunchy, spicy, and addictive enough to make you forget you're eating a veggie dish. While service can be inconsistent and parking can be difficult to find in peak times, here are some of the redeeming factors: - mini poke tacos: love these more than the variation Mac's carries on their menu. I will say they may use a hair too much aioli at times, but the marinated tuna is a win. - queso is always a win. Served with tortilla triangles and tortilla chips. - Shanghai shrimp salad with sriracha honey dressing is my go to lunch choice. - fried yuca as a side is the way to go! Agave marg is always a win. Made with fresh lime juice instead of sweet and sour mix.
