I got off a 3 hour flight from Las Vegas with my service animal and went to this place for a snack because I was hungry and waiting for my friend to get off work. The manager or owner (he didn't introduce himself) came up to me and told me my dog wasn't a service animal and asked me to leave. I told him my diagnoses and showed him my medication to which he replied, that's not a service animal. We were just on a flight where he was a service animal. I had ordered food and told the bartender that I would pay and leave as the manager told me I was not welcome in their establishment. He gave a bill for food I never received and when I told him I didn't receive the food he told me he could make it to go. I don't live here and I cannot take to go food to nowhere. Unfortunately for the person who was the manager/owner I am well aware of my rights as a personal living with a disability. I am also an attorney and he will be hearing from my personal counsel to request the video surveillance where my dog was laying at my feet, in a service vest, and doing nothing to indicate he was anything other than a trained service animal.

My wife fell in love with the owners of the Armor Brewing while watching her No Demo Remo home improvement show. So naturally when in Texas for work, she had to take the time to visit the brewery the coffee company. The food didn't disappoint! The fish and chips were perfectly crispy flaky goodness!

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with TVs for games, live music on weekends, and plenty of indoor and outdoor space. The layout is thoughtfully designed, with patio seating, fire pits, and outdoor activities that make it feel like more than just a typical brewery. The drink selection is a standout. Even if beer isn't your thing, there are solid cocktail and mocktail options. The beer lineup itself is strong, featuring a mix of American and European styles. One thing to note is that serving sizes tend to be on the smaller side, with only a few options available in a 0.5L stein. Service has been consistently friendly and efficient. Food and drinks often arrive very quickly, even during busier times, which is a big plus. The food is good overall but falls into the "solid bar food" category. There are a few highlights, like the cheese curds, which are excellent and a clear favorite. Other dishes such as fish and chips, mac and cheese, and soup are enjoyable but not especially memorable. The burgers are a bit of a letdown, and some of the higher-priced items, like the salmon and short ribs (which resemble more of a chuck roast), are better found elsewhere. Overall, Armor Brewing is a fun, reliable spot to grab a drink and enjoy a lively atmosphere. While the food can be inconsistent and leans toward average bar fare, the drinks, service, and overall experience make it worth coming back.

I ate the Asian barbecue chicken sandwich and it was phenomenal. The breading was great, the sauce was delicious, and the contents complimented each other nicely. Another member of my group ate the fish and chips, also complimenting the breading. I would advise getting a fried dish here as it was delicious. The ambience was average bar type decor. I didn't mind much as the food was great, the server was nice, and the dinner ended up being great! highly recommend.

We decided to try Brass Tap again tonight for dinner. We have been here once before about 3 years…read moreago and it was ok, nothing too memorable - nothing horrible. Food was ok. So, we thought - why not, it's close- let's go and see if we like it better this time. Let's start with the positives. We arrived shortly after 5pm and the place was pretty empty so we were seated right away. The server was friendly and immediately took our drink orders. She was attentive and service was fast. No complaints with her service at all. It seemed pretty chill and low key. A few people trickled in but nothing crazy for a Saturday night. We ordered the pretzel appetizer and I was pleasantly surprised. The color of the pretzel had me fooled. It was pretty dark in color which usually indicates overdone and hard so when it was amazingly soft inside - wow! So good! We loved the mustard and cheese sauce that came with it. My husband and son ordered a burger and said they were tasty, my other son ordered the chicken strips and said they were good. Negative for the meal, I ordered the blackened cod tacos and subbed the chips and salsa for the Gilroy Garlic Fries. I was very excited for the garlic fries since we are originally from that area and are very knowledgeable about the famous Gilroy Garlic Festival and all things Garlic. Here's where this dish wasn't exciting - the tacos were pretty bland. I took the coleslaw from my son's chicken tenders to try and add more flavor and make the taco more palatable. I only ate 1 of the 2 because there really was just zero flavor. The fries were probably an even greater disappointment. In the center, was a very small amount of cheese and maybe garlic? It had virtually zero garlic taste - I was searching for it. It was a sad version of garlic fries. I would not order that again unless they were improved upon. I went back and forth on 3 stars versus 4 stars because while service was great and fast, I can't confidently say I'd recommend it to someone. I may say it's a great place to chill for a beer and an appetizer but definitely NOT a meal. I think if your expectations are to stick with the appetizer list then you're probably going to like it. They have a large beer selection and plenty of screens for your favorite games.
