The table was filled with breakfast favorites. We ordered hotcakes, eggs, bacon, potatoes, and huevos rancheros. A couple of morning cocktails also made an appearance, including Cottonwood's version of a Bloody Mary and a rum-infused mocha. The huevos rancheros had a bit more kick than expected, but it worked. Our server was fun and easy to chat with, which added to the relaxed feel of the morning. Nobody rushed us, and breakfast with friends is one of those things that shouldn't be rushed. Will we be back? Probably. Cottonwood Cafe feels like a place where locals and visitors can both feel at home, and it was a nice way to wrap up another great trip to Sisters. I also ordered the $3 baguette and a mocktail for $10. The pasta dish was a massive disappointment. I had to search for the chicken such was the limited amount in the dish. There was a minimal amount of cherry tomatoes. The supposed "white wine blue cheese sauce" was missing from the pasta also. There was no Parmesan Reggiano cheese offered at the onset or freshly ground pepper. Perhaps The Open Door is not that kind of culinary experience. I rarely complain when I visit restaurants as I try to do my due diligence before I go. I spoke with the waitress, manager and one other lady who came by to check on me. I was told they could bring me some more tomatoes, etc. However, the dish should have contained sufficient ingredients to warrant its description which it didn't. Pasta is one of the cheapest mainstays in the restaurant business, but The Open Door's pasta dish took this to a whole new low. As for the baguette, I was given four tiny half slices of bread and not a baguette. In hindsight, I would have been better served going to the Sisters Smokehouse and Deli and ordering their Tri-Tip Sandwich - which is delicious BTW- than wasting my $ here at The Open Door.

It feels like a cozy Oregon log cabin, with tons of wood, art, plenty of seating including upstairs, and clean bathrooms. Exactly the kind of coffee shop you hope to stumble into while visiting Sisters. Would absolutely come back, especially for another seasonal latte.

A local family business that serves super unique grilled cheese creations, homemade hearty soups, and of course frozen yogurt and a variety of toppings: it doesn't get any better than this!! .worst experience ever. I go out to get sons medicine thought oh weird they have left their keys in door nope the thang was locked and i had to use their keys they left in the door which is weird ... Then came back from car and getting sons meds and the door was locked again i shook it while son and boyfriend were in there still i had to vo to the window in knock loudly to get gheir attention to say hey lets go i was locked out and cant get back in .. im never going there again weird place weird people and bad service read more

We waited at least 15 mins when My wife went to find out what happened to our food. After some confusion the counter person went back to the kitchen and had the grill person make our order.
