Don't waste your money! I hired a professional wallpaper installer (who had 20+ yrs of experience) and he had never seen such poor quality. The design did not line up, we unrolled all 3 rolls that I bought and even when overlapping the rolls, he could not get the design to line up. This is $600 in the garbage. I'd also like to mention that I purchased the matching pillow sham which was also made out of of poor quality material. read more

There is no customer service at this place. I ordered 8 pieces of fabric which is not only expensive, but took over a month to receive. All of it was cut to wrong sizes so I emailed several times and called the customer service line. I never heard a response back. I will be contacting my bank to reverse the charges on my card. COVID is no reason to not respond to customers. Let's face it: all companies are working virtually and you can have an employee answering emails or phone calls. It's unacceptable. Spoonflower seems like a fantastic idea, but you better hope that nothing goes wrong because their customer service seems to be non-existent. Whenever I ask a question, it never simply gets answered, I get given paragraphs of extra information (which is already provided on the website) and I have to read through in order to find the answer. The answer isn't given first, or highlighted, though I guess it is technically there. I was about to order some wallpaper, but needed to confirm how a pattern gets aligned vertically when they are printing it. After getting a verbose reply that I had to extract an answer out of I went back to order my wallpaper. However over the course of those 24 hours the website changed the items in my shopping cart from being 8' long pieces to 12' long pieces. I'm lucky I noticed that before I went through with the order. I went back to re-add the correct length of wallpaper to the cart, and discovered that they removed the custom length option. There was no warning that this was about to change. Customer "Service" is unwilling to honour my original order. I feel that it was also far from an okay practice to change the items in my cart. They should have been flagged as changed, or just wiped, not quietly changed behind my back. As a first time customer, the website popped up a discount code offer for me if I entered in my email. I did so, and no code ever came my way. Customer "Service" are unable to help. I checked my junk mail folder, and checked my email on the server rather than via my email program. Last but not least, I was informed that: "To better increase efficiencies in our factories, reducing waste and our ecological footprint, we have decided to retire custom rolls for the time being." Not the best thing to be telling us that they realised they can improve the statistics of their factories by passing the waste, cost, and ecological impact onto their customers instead. The extent of my frustration and displeasure is best illustrated by the fact that I have actually written a review of this company, and given them one star. I don't tend to write reviews, and certainly not negative ones, but these guys really messed about with me a little too much and incurred my ire. read more

My first order with Spoonflower! I was so excited because my fabric-guru friends got some really cool designs. I had in mind some Halloween totes for gifts. My fabric arrived and I followed the instructions for laundering. All four fabric pieces ran...not a lot...but it was noticeable. Plus, their colors faded significantly. Then, I ironed the fabric and the prints ran again. I emailed customer service immediately. After a week of not getting a response, I phoned the company. Apparently, they do not provide customer support on their listed number so I left a voicemail. A week went by and still not answer. I attempted to use their online help but again was directed to write an email. This is not satisfactory at all. I've come to learn that this happens frequently with Spoonflower. So I won't be using them again. Shame..since they do have some wonderful fabrics. read more

My sister and I use Spoonflower for our emerging design business. Overall we have been very happy with the products we have ordered in the last year. I agree with the feedback on this thread that the customer service lacks. We buy a lot of material from Spoonflower and they are not proactive about communicating changes or issues. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I purchased a yard of fabric with rush shipping. They set the payment up as a recurring payment, meaning every month, $43 would be paid to them from my credit card. I saw this on my bill and called my cc. They told me only Spoonflower could lift this recurring charge. I tried to call Spoonflower -- they have no customer service line. I emailed them, they told me there was nothing they could do. I went on their live chat to find a phone number to talk to someone in billing. They had no number and they had no clue what I was talking about! Ordering online is a gamble, but when the company has no way for you to speak to them, it's dangerous. read more

I ordered some fabric for the backing of a queen size quilt I made. I was very disappointed with the quality of the fabric when I received it. Any fabric that wrinkles profusely and hard to iron wrinkles out after washing is not a fabric you want to use in a quality quilt! I paid 18.50 per yard which should have been a good quality--NOT! It is hard to believe it is cotton. Feels more like a stiff mixture of a little cotton and part paper. Color was faded and not bright like the website showed. I wish I had talked to a friend who had purchased from Spoonflower before I ordered. She described her purchase the same disappointment. I also wish I had read the reviews. read more

The WORST company in the world - stay away or you will lose a lot of money!! The products are VERY expensive starting with $10 for a 6" swatch of fabric. It took weeks to receive my order. Then, I had 4 issues when my order arrived. What's worse is that there are no humans to speak with. The phone number just leads to a voicemail telling you to use the chat. The staff members on the chat, however, are not at all helpful. They don't know anything about the products or procedures and have no knowledge or authority to help when there is a problem. Then, one of them actually deleted the order from my account so it looked like I never even placed the order! She didn't know to put it back so of course, at that point, none of the other chat line members could help because they couldn't see anything. It was as if I never placed an order at all so no one could help with refunds, remakes etc. Avoid this company at all costs! read more

My order never arrived after waiting a month. When I check on it, it hadn't even been processed - I asked when they might expect to ship if it's going to be another month, I'd like a refund. They sent me an email saying my order was cancelled and they'd give me a credit at their store. I log into my account, and my entire history is wiped clean. No order info, no credit. I just want my money back so I can take my business elsewhere. I've never gotten my money back and never received any product. They literally stole my money - Do not do business with these people. I ordered Minky fabric, yet it arrived as cotton instead, even though the packing slip said it was Minky. When I contacted Spoonflower I was told: "...this designer has placed the word Minky in their design title as they have intended for their designs to print on a yard of Minky" but Spoonflower prints automatically on 100% cotton unless the customer makes the notation it is to be on Minky. I requested a return tag for the cotton and asked for it to be shipped to me on Minky. But the company then said that they could only give me store credit if I set up an online account, which I didn't want to do. However, to get the matter resolved I set up the account. Now I haven't received any response, even after 2 emails telling them I set up the account. No credit. No refund. No Minky. read more

Terribly disappointed. I was an early adopter of this company and have been using it for years, hoping they'd get better at working out glitches but its been a nightmare experience with the biggest glitches to date happening a month ago and they still havent fixed it. The system charged me 7 times for a $250 pro account when I tried to renew it. Thats $1,7500 that my credit card flagged and had to alert me to. Took me 3 days to get help with crediting my account. They did finally do so and said they comped me the Pro Account to compensate me for the bad mistake. My account says I have the pro Account but....it does not give me the discounts and faster shipping that are supposed to come with this account. Arrrrgh. I dont know how other people run a business when trying to depend on supplies from this company. It is so messed up. I have clients waiting for 2 months for the orders I am trying to place. I need to find another manufacturer. This has been so disappointing and stressful. read more

So I love the design I chose and when it came I loved it pretty much but fabric was stiff I have washed 2x and still stiff and kinda of thick I feel like it is more then 100% cotton something else is in there I don't know what to do. This is a gift and I have to order more as I need a little more of the material to finish the project and I want to change the order from the original cotton material but no one responds to me at all. I have written several times and I don't want to cancel the new order but come on no one responds. I just want to know if a different type of material they have all sorts would be softer which of course would ruin the ones I already started to work on for this project. UGHH so frustrating to spend so much money and that they have it listed as their usual standard cotton so I thought it would be good cotton is soft not this one. Not even a # to call to assist in the process either and for new to sewing it isn't great but they were the only place that had it too. On top of all things you pay so much money for this material and it has a huge border around most of it and that then isn't a yard I received at all it is less and I that should have not been counted in the measuring but it was weird..... read more

Hello I am writing this review regarding Spoonflower as I have was extremely disappointed in their product and as well their lack of customer service. I had placed an order for fabric for a big order I had received, my client even paid the rush shipping charges. The fabric was listed as being 43 inches wide, however when I received it, there was a 3 inch white band all the way around the fabric, leave me short several inches. I literally was 2 inches short of having enough fabric for this project (since I know I wouldn't use this fabric again no need to have too much left). I had to re-order more fabric and pay the rush shipping myself this time in order to fullfil my clients order. I did receive the both orders when stated. I wrote to Spoonflower to let them know about this 3 inch band all the way around the fabric not just one 1 side or even 2 it was literally on all 4 sides of both fabric pieces that I purchased. I have not heard a word from Spoonflower (very poor customer service) therefore I will not order from them again and have let several people know about what the amount of fabric it says and how much you actually receive of "USABLE" fabric. I really wanted to love Spoonflower. The prints are so cute. I live in Durham and want to support a local business. I ordered 6 different fabrics on the cotton petal and they are...bad. This is the least soft fabric I have ever worked with. I am sure it's part of the printing process, but all printed fabrics are printed in some fashion. This fabric is priced in the same range as Ruby Star and Moda and all of that kind of stuff but it isn't anywhere close to the quality. I just made a variety of face masks, and this is the only fabric I had a hard time ironing. A hard time ironing! Like you seriously can't glide your iron over this fabric. It pulls like it's almost waxed. And this is after washing. That is how not smooth this fabric is. Added to that the printing is not amazing on all of the fabrics. One doesn't even look in focus. For $18.99 a yard. I am very disappointed. I won't be ordering again. Processing and shipping was very quick and communication was good. The product though, is quite bad. read more

I ordered a fat quarter.The fabric took over a week to be printed. Then shipping was delayed. (it was December). When it arrived the whole fabric was quarter fat size but the actual printing on the piece of fabric was much smaller and uneven. One side had over an inch of blank space. I used it because the design was cute but I had to shrink the size of my item to fit the fabric. Probably won't order again. read more

While the initial platform Spoonflower began with was exciting, through the recent months primarily the last 12 I have found that their customer service is virtually non existent, It is basically handled via email which takes several days for response if any. You can call a number and leave a message, even though they say they will call you back, they don't. The new petal cotton they are selling is not anything like the Kona cotton that it replaced. The quality is extremely poor and not worthy enough to use in quilts that you plan to have pass down/ heirlooms. I have a crafters license for a logo and they pulled my designs without first asking for the license. I am now 6 days out, losing out on revenue, noone will call return my calls , my last email 2 days ago is still unanswered! Overall, I originally was very happy with the service and quality but in the last year it has gone straight in the gutter and now I am actively searching for a company to take their place. I know there are some lesser known ones out there that may just end up having a better product and better service... seriously as of lately that is not going to be hard to beat! read more

I ordered one yard of fabric online and this is the 18th day since I placed the order. No fabric yet. I had to wait just about as long for my last order. Why does it take so long? I have been buying Spoonflower fabrics since 2015 and even started selling some of my own designs. I could not be happier with their quality or customer service. I have always had great interactions with their employees, and have even been contacted before I knew there was a problem! I'm so surprised by the other comments about their customer service as I have always found them easy to contact and quick to respond. I have heard of other people who have had color bleed issues, but I have never had any, and Spoonflower has always been very considerate and generous in answering their issues. I definitely recommend their gift wrap! It's amazing quality! We use it every year for holidays. It's so fun to be able to design your own with kids' artwork or your own designs. Such a disappointing experience with Spoonflower. I ordered April 25th and my order has still not been dispatched. I'm in Canada and since my last order took over 2 months this time it's even worse. Sadly I ordered on the 25th before receiving my first order or I wouldn't have ordered again. Besides being extraordinarily late even considering a pandemic the material was stiff and not very nice. The prints are faded and not nearly as bright as pictured. How sad to wait that long and be disappointed. So after I got the first order I requested to cancel my 2nd order. A week later I got a standard bot type response that sorry the order was delayed in printing but thanks for my patience. If I thought the material would be nice I'd wait but at $28. CA it's just so overpriced and not worth it. Sorry I almost never write never reviews but this has to be the worst company to deal with and their product is much much less than expected. read more

This is a review of Roostery, Spoonflower's sister company, but since I can't find anywhere else to leave my review, I'll leave it here. I've never had a worse taste left in my mouth after dealing with any other company online. My sister gifted me a blanket for Christmas and the pattern does not work in my house. I simply wanted to do an exchange for a different pattern, although I made it clear a return would be fine if the original credit card could be credited. I emailed (no phone number listed anywhere!) Roostery on the 12th of January and it took *7 days* for them to reply. When they did reply they stated they do not do exchanges. Weird, but fine... I replied and said I'd like to do a full return. Their next reply was that I was outside the 45 day return window, but I had no way of knowing when the blanket was purchased as it was a Christmas present. Turns out, after speaking with my sister, the blanket was purchased on Nov. 26th - which means I had contacted them 47 days after purchase and based on this 2 day discrepancy they have since refused my return and are no longer replying to my emails. I'm SO angry and urge anyone considering purchasing from this company to reconsider. In this day and age, there are so many other companies doing a better job of providing friendly, realistic, and flexible customer serivce options - why support this? read more
