I searched Amazon, Etsy, eBay and every fabric company i could find for a certain type of pattern and color to recover my sofa to match with my middle eastern decor. On the point of giving up, i stumbled on Spoonflower and saw a cornucopia of choices in the range of what i was seeking by creative designers. Ordered three designs of bed sheets - to use the flat sheets as fabric to cover - and one was absolutely perfect. The one star off is because the sheets are only printed in one side, and the hemming is cheap, and fabric is rough- i would not want to actually sleep on these sheets- and wherever the underside would show if the bed was turned back would ruin the look. However for my purposes i love the fabric and love that i am getting a unique artist's design. I will definitely look to Spoonflower again when i have another project that requires a specific pattern and color fabric. Based on the other reviews here i would be wary of the wallpaper but maybe I'd tack it up so it wouldn't peel down to make the best of it - if i loved the look!!! read more

What a disaster of an experience. When the wallpaper was laid flat and dry, it was obvious that the pattern on the right side drifted farther out of alignment as it continued down the roll. This was not an installation or double-cutting issue--the bow itself sat progressively higher and could not be corrected by pulling or stretching the paper. The wallpaper I received did not match the properly aligned product shown on the company's website. I had already paid a professional installer before the defect became apparent, costing me additional time and money. The company offered to send another roll of the exact same wallpaper but refused to let me select a different design, despite my legitimate concern that the replacement could have the same manufacturing problem. Garbage. Ordered peel and stick wall paper. Was printed to "line up" per sheet ordered. Terrible overlap. Looks like crap. Would never purchase again. Might be okay for small items (drawers/ back of cabinets, crafts, etc...), but not for walls. So disappointing. Purchased samples to make sure I loved it, and then have these terrible seams. The absolute WORST customer service I've ever received. This product is expensive and it's not worth it. When confronted about the poor quality and explanation of how this will not be able to be used in my home they basically said hate your luck we won't take it back. DO NOT use this company. Amended to add: The fabric poster I ordered actually arrived! After Spoonflower customer service told me it was lost and began processing a refund (which was done quickly), I started getting separate UPS notifications that the item was on the way. Unfortunately it missed the projected delivery date (4 days late) and I was already away, never got a chance to use it in presenting. The fabric, quality, clarity (no pixelation at all!), and value really are great and incomparable to any other service. So I would say use - with caution. Give yourself 2 weeks out from travel to ensure you have any poster or presentation materials. And it is also clear that Spoonflower needs to work on its communication with its shipping service, keeping track of items, and accurately projecting delivery dates. Customer service availability over the phone would also be an improvement. I was glad I got a person (instead of an AI bot) over chat, but it was sluggish and took over an hour for something that would have been a 10-15 minute phone call. Original Review: I do not recommend Spoonflower for printing scientific posters or teaching materials where it's arrival is time sensitive. Despite following all directions, including a guaranteed shipping date that left a 2-3 day buffer before presentation date, I did not receive the product. When I checked the tracking number, it showed that a UPS label had been printed 6 days prior, with no updates on UPS every receiving or starting the shipping process. I contacted customer service and was told "best to assume it has been lost." Their turnaround time for a replacement, even with rush options and fastest shipping, is 4-5 days. I ended up giving my field presentation with no visuals. I have liked the product previously and quality of the printing and fabric. Trying to use the service again years later, I am shocked by the unreliabity. I would not use Spoonflower again and I have stopped recommending them to my colleagues. read more

I do not like this company's customer service at all. They don't have one! I've tried writing emails to sites they say work and all my emails bounce back as undeliverable! There are no phone numbers! Finally got a response 10 days later and I have to take pics of fabric all layed out with the right yard stick, not tape measure or ruler! And they still won't refund! I pointed out that every fabric piece I ordered (12!) were not cut right and they cheated me out of many inches per yard. They claim their fabric is 43-44 inches. It's not. Their selvage edges are 5 inches! So you only get 41 inches. And they put selvage edges on top and bottom and only give you 34-35, not 36 inches of printed fabric. They cheat you many inches with every cut. They make it impossible to rely on their fabric being consistent in shape and size in working with other fabrics that come the standard measurements. I have a successful sewing business and will never use them again. read more

Duvet Zippers.... do not get me wrong I think the designs are great the execution on the on the hand not so much!! I have had two duvet covers made and both of them have had bad zippers. The zipper Spoonflower uses for closing the duvet is the invisible zipper and it dies pretty quickly. My second duvet cover I will take to a local place to have the zipper replaced, but I should not have to do that if Spoonflower put in a zipper that could stand up to washing and putting on and off the insert on a regular basis. I will not be getting anything else made from spoonflower. Two fails is enough for me and the cost of getting the zipper replaced on something that was not cheep in the first place makes me not a happy camper. IMO Spoonflower should stand behind the fail zipper and replace it. read more

I have been ordering fabric, curtains and wallpaper from Spoonflower for years and have even recommended it to many friends on my social media pages and by word of mouth. But I just spent over $300 on fabric that is very poorly photographed, not described at all whose swatches don't match the actual fabric which arrived 2-toned in strips of about 18 inches; gold and yellow. Customer service refused to give me a store credit and just kept sending me the same form letter of refusal over and over. I am so disappointed in them and will no longer purchase from them. After several successful orders, I ordered a block-print design fabric and it was awful; big streak of missing dye repeated throughout the piece. This wasn't an acceptable 'handmade' characteristic; it just looks like the dye wasn't evenly spread on the roller. I contacted them for a return/exchange. Long story short, they said it was how block prints look and they wouldn't honor their "Happiness guarantee" as advertised. So...no more orders from me (or my friends or my sewing community) and I'm stuck with yards of fabric too flawed to use. I got some of the pre pasted wallpaper and while I love the pattern I'm not a fan of the wallpaper itself. You have to overlap the pieces on the edges by at least a 1/2", I think it was a bit more than that to get the pattern to line up. I chose a pretty busy pattern so there was a lot of pushing and pulling to get it right. I still had spots on one panel where some lined up and others were just close, Nothing I could do about it. I had intended to go back and double cut the seams to get rid of the overlap but decided not to because I didn't think I would end up with good results with this paper. I give 5 stars to the artist who gave me the custom color I asked for. I would NOT recommend using this wallpaper and won't order from Spoonflower again due to issue with matching the pattern and the overlap needed on the seams. read more

I tried the spoonflower peel and stick wallpaper and it did not stick well. First it bubbled underneath where it did not stick and then started falling off the top corner about a week later. I followed the instructions on prepping the wall, however customer service said it can have no texture on the wall. I'm not sure that there are walls with no texture, unless you put it on a new build and put it directly on the drywall. This isn't the case with any other peel and stick wallpapers I have used. There were also marks on the wallpaper. Very disappointing when I spent $243 on a 4 ft wall. Horrible customer service, they will not do anything. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!! Would give zero stars if I could! I've never experienced such poor customer service from an establishment before. I was sent my wallpaper which NONE OF IT LINED UP, and had BLACK INK all over one of the rolls. They clearly do not even check their products before sending them to you. On top of that I had a professional come out to hang my wallpaper and because we couldn't use the wallpaper that was sent I had to pay for him to come and not do a job. They refused to provide any compensation/discount. The only thing they offered was expedite shipping to send me new prints which is what $15 for them? I was shocked at how badly this whole thing was handled from start to finish. Will never use or recommend them. And clearly from the other reviews I am not the only one this has been happening to. New edit: I know they are trying to make themselves look good by their responses to all the terrible reviews but don't be fooled! I love the fabric selection at spoonflower. what I don't like is the shady sales pitches. I am tired of it. I have ordered 100% of my art project fabric from you guys, did you know that? I absolutely love one artist, the calvarium. All my art chairs have been done with his stuff. That being said, I am a VERY small business. you have a small business option- yes- you buy some crazy amount of fabric and get some small discount, what about very, very small business? We are all waiting for that 30% sale. So every week you tell me "up to 30% all fabric and wallpaper" and then I excitedly go to my cart, and of course NO, the fabric is not 30% off, it is "UP TO" 30% off, and I leave again, disappointed, for another week- but you also make sure to text me as well "thanks for stopping by!" or whatever. no. I have started looking into different fabric solutions for my small business and I am CERTAIN you are losing business if I am frustrated, other people are as well. I am very very patient. Stop pretending to have sales that aren't really sales. Either have the sale or not. Don't be disingenuous. Its super annoying. Also, maybe have a student or very small business discount? Then I could actually buy stuff from you and I wouldn't have to look elsewhere for fabric solutions. also, the blacks aren't entirely black, but I was willing to live with this, since I love the artist at the calvarium. I've ordered from Spoonflower several times. My fabric of choice is Petal Signature Cotton. I've had a mixed experience. I love the variety of fabrics. The actual fabric color is often muted and there is significant fading. My biggest complaint, though, is that you don't get the full amount of the fabric ordered. There is a large border/selvage that measures anywhere from a 1/2 inch to an inch. This is included in the cut length. So, if you order 1/2 yard or 18 inches, you're only receiving a17 -17 1/2 inches. The fabric is so expensive so this makes a difference when you're ordering the exact amount. The selection of peel and stick wallpaper made this company stand out for me. I ended up ordering three options and have put up two. One was in a small area so I didn't need more than one width of a roll. The second was a bathroom so once I started installing I noticed there was an overlap requirement. I've put up peel and stick wallpaper in five other areas of my home and none have ever required overlap and Spoonflower does not mention this is the general product information (I only found it after watching an install video). The overlap looks awful. You can easily see the overlap due to the wallpaper having a black background and the sticky side is white. Now all I can see is a white stripe running down my wall and it looks unprofessional. With the overlap, I didn't have enough for my project and I can't fathom spending money for an additional roll.
