So sad to see the decline of this beautiful place. No valet service, no concierge, no room service, no disabled access, parking a block away (no longer under the pool), ice machine only on one floor, 4 coffee pods in the room with a small Keurig, 4 pods of cream, two 4 oz bottles of water, nothing whatsoever for a courtesy basket or even honor system snack and mini bar option. Puzzling as the food in the main floor restaurant and morning room area is good. As is the catering and service. Hope someone rescues it before it's too late. read more

Had a large suite here, so I can't speak to other accommodations. Fine overall, despite being dated. It's kind of like time traveling back to a historic hotel updated to the 1980s. The members or guests only environment works well, but an older lady (membership?) came off with what might only be called snippiness. Perhaps she can work on the ability to ham it up better. The desk staff were nice as were restaurant staff. read more

In a high crime area. Our car was parked right in front of hotel last night and we woke up to our car window being shattered. Desk Clerk was not sympathetic or offer any help. I was lucky enough to get a crime stopper number from the clerk. The crime number could only say and acknowledge was yes crime is on the rise here. Just beware and avoid Spokane Downtown. read more

Excellent location if you want to be near downtown. Starbucks is 2 blocks away, next door to Lululemon. The Spokane Club is a social and fitness club, as well as a hotel. Apparently you don't have to be a member to stay here, and guests also get to use their fantastic fitness center (which we did not use or look at). The complex is located right at the edge of the downtown area, less than 2 blocks to the downtown center. Our room was on the 4th floor (there's only 5 levels). It was a bit dated, as it could use a facelift. They had L'Occitane toiletry products, and plenty of towels. It was spacious and clean, and they even had a Keurig coffee maker and complimentary bottled water for us to enjoy. Valet or self parking is $14 a day. Aside from the dated rooms, and the inconsistent water temperature of the shower, the hotel location and price we paid was very good. read more

I would give it 5 Stars forever. I love this club, the friendliness from not just the staff, but every member as well. I talked myself out of making a slightly distant drive to go to the club for months after moving here. I find myself now looking at homes again in South Hill, just to be closer to this club. (There is a smaller club near the Valley) The food and service is a 10/10, Gym is 10/10, and the hotel is a 10/10. You could not expect that even from the Davenport Historic which I like. They need to work on the breakfast outside of Sunday's larger brunch. Here at the Spokane Club there is consistency throughout, and there is nothing to avoid. I feel I can invite producers from L.A., and even my friends from London that are apart of Royal clubs. This club really makes Spokane worth living here, no matter how long you are expecting to stay. read more

The location and website pictures, along with the listed amenities sold me on spending close to $1000 for the family weekend. What a rip off. the pool is cold, requires reservations for lanes, and they don't tell you when you book if it will be open during your visit. No hot tub, no free shuttle. Rooms are very small (not like the pictures) bed uncomfortable, rollaway fee, parking fee (and a block away). One friendly worker out of 3 encounters. Find someplace better...the only highlight is the location. read more

I joined the Spokane Club as a member, primarily for the gym. This membership was about twice as much as the YMCA for my family. However, it was a very disappointing experience. There is a social aspect to joining the club as well. For example, there was an exclusive Sweetheart Dinner for Valentine's day. I took my wife -- and the service was terrible. We had reservations at a time, we were quickly seated, but then forgotten about, for each of the courses. And worse, when they brought out the bread, a fly flew out of it! Disgusting. They said they were doing a different model of waiting, so they were confused, and, apologized. But still, I have had much better service at Chik Filet than at this higher end service, supposedly set up for a romantic dinner. We also went to the the St. Patrick's day dinner. I thought it would be a nice family dinner. The buffet was okay, not great. However, the environment felt dead, and sad. Not an upbeat, energetic setting. My son likes to laugh, and I felt like I had to warn him "it's not the time or place," because it felt more like a funeral. I figured we would stop going to the social aspects of the club. The gym -- the reason I joined --- equipment is okay. The YMCA down the street appears to have as nice or nicer equipment, but it is sufficient at Spokane club. I quit the YMCA to join this gym because I was told that they had trainers who were more experienced, and had better hours (I am a professional, and wanted to have personal training sessions before 8am, which was a limitation at the YMCA). I had one trainer, who was nice, but she left the facility after I had my intake session. I tried to set up with a second trainer, but he cancelled 3 times. The reason I quit, though, was that as most gyms were refunding payments when closed down for Corona Virus in 2020... Spokane Club kept charging. They were sending bills, while shut down, stating that they are more than a gym, they were a social club... well... to me they weren't even much of a a quality gym, certainly was not a welcoming social environment, but to have the gall to charge an already higher fee when not providing services , that absurdity crossed the line. I ended my membership (while of course needing to pay for another month that I could not use the gym). Good things: for a monthly fee you can have an overnight locker. This was important to me, and most gyms seem to no longer allow you to have overnight lockers. There is a nice view from the treadmills. read more

Did you know you can stay in the hotel and eat in the restaurant without being a member? Not a lot of people know that. Awesome space for Spokane's elite. My generation cannot afford the membership, in reality. I order the Cobb salad and add crab to it, take it to go for lunch. However the last three times I have ordered the salad they have given me the wrong salad dressing. read more

I applied to be approved for a membership at the Spokane Club not knowing that the application was the final signing papers saying you were committed to a membership. My membership was active as of November and the shutdown happened again November 17th. I never once set foot in the gym, picked up a member card and they are charging me over $460 dollars for initiation fees and monthly memberships for November and December when facilities aren't in use. Beware that applying for approval/interest in the Spokane Club means you are locked into a membership without any other additional papers. They offered to drop my monthly payments to $66 dollars because the facilities aren't in use which still would be a charge of $320 dollars (plus initiation fee). During these times especially I am extremely disappointed in this so called "club community". Communication about memberships + steps is poor. Showing interest/seeing if you would be approved means you are automatically committed to pay all the fees as well. read more

Staff very friendly and willing to please. I will never eat here again through. I had the fried meatloaf that looked like it was a frozen patty of beef and not my kind of meatloaf. Salad was good along with fresh rolls. My wife's Salmon crab and sauce was not what she expected, did not finish. Later in the evening we ordered creme brulee and carrot cake. The creme was orange creamsicle? Who does that! And the carrot cake was so rich and dense, worst yet and I'm a carrot cake nut! My family has had a Spokane club membership for about 10 years, and I love it. There are other clubs with larger facilities, but I have to say I love the friendly feel of the Spokane Club. The weight room is rarely (if ever!) full, and the staff members are all friendly and helpful. Let's not forget the fact that the entire workout facility overlooks the Spokane Falls. I couldn't ask for a better view! I also love all the other amenities the Spokane Club has to offer. Lots of family friendly events. Don't even get me started on the food. Chef Moser is amazing, and he gets all of his ingredients locally and he changes his menu seasonally. I can eat at the Spokane Club year round without getting bored. read more

I come to Spokane about 3-4 times a year for business. The hotel is nice, clean and everyone that works here is awesome. The gym is to die for! Four floors of gym! Wow...hotel guests get free access to all parts of gym. Great locker room with steam shower, etc...opens at 5am too! helpful staff at the gym too. Front desk staff of hotel is the best. Very friendly and helpful all the time. The restaurants are really, really good and decently priced for what you get, with nice wines. I like to unwind after work and have some wine and good food. they have excellent service in the restaurant as well I wouldn't stay anywhere else while in the spokane area. read more

I have been a member of the Spokane Club for over 2 years. There is a lot I like about the club and I consider my membership an investment. One of the things I love the most is being able to workout and have an awesome view of the Monroe St bridge and the Spokane river. I have a favorite treadmill that I enjoy and I have the best view of the gondolas crossing the river. The equipment is new and very well maintained. The classes are well attended and taught by experienced trainers. I could save some money and join another local gym, but I wouldn't get the same quality experience that I enjoy everyday at the Spokane Club. read more

I have been a member of this club for almost 10 yrs. Facility is well ran and clean. Workout area in the downtown club will be remodeled and updated within the next few months. Valley complex has free parking , tennis courts, pool, racquetball courts, large weight room area and smaller gyms for classes. Downtown, one will find a bar and restaurant which serves excellent food. A deli is available at both sites. Wonderful staff. read more

Over the years the club has gone down hill; neither a new age or an Old English Club. The last straws were an assessment on my "Owner Membership" fees and a filthy pool after a pool party. It was supposed to end an hour earlier but the staff decided to let it go into swim time without a clean up. Poor staff management and bad decisions. It's hard to imagine it as the club it used to be. It was elegant and formal making it a standard for multiple generations over a century. Integrating the "club" with athletic membership is a downward spiral bound to lose the staid and true. I shall be one of those. read more
