It's really active because the amount of people hoping to try the sandwiches, and it seems like they do happen to run out of the meat for the platters and what meat is left, they prioritize using it on the sandwiches.

Had they stated they left it in the window too long and needed to make it fresh and we'd have to wait another 5-10, I'd be leaving a different review. We don't complain, that's why we didn't say anything at the time. We get things get busy and forgotten. Our food was definitely served cold so it was either intentionally left or forgotten. Either way, I don't ask for refunds for this reason. I share my experiences and let others decide how to vote with their wallets and choices. I'm not rude and demand to be refunded. I just don't function like that. Also no one ever asked if our food was good or we would've said something God Bless.

So I walked in expecting a meal that would have me planning a return visit before I even paid the check. What I got instead was one of the strangest cases of missing seasoning I've encountered in quite some time. Let's start with the positives. The people here are genuinely nice. Friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Everyone we encountered was pleasant and seemed to care about providing a good experience. The restaurant itself is clean, comfortable, and inviting. And the kitchen clearly knows how to cook food. The fried chicken was cooked beautifully. Crispy on the outside. Juicy on the inside. Exactly the texture you're hoping for when you order Southern fried chicken. The problem? The seasoning apparently called in sick. This chicken had all the flavor intensity of a weather report. No noticeable salt. No spice. No personality. It tasted like the chef had just completed community service at a nursing home and was legally prohibited from possessing a salt shaker. My piece of chicken was juicy and cooked properly. Unfortunately, my wife's chicken breast was noticeably dry, which didn't help matters. Then came the fried pickles. No seasoning. Chicken and dumplings. No seasoning. Coleslaw. Tasteless. At one point I started wondering if there had been some sort of building-wide seasoning shortage that nobody had told us about. The frustrating part is that none of the food was poorly cooked. Quite the opposite. The techniques were there. The textures were there. The execution was there. It just felt like someone got everything ready and forgot the final, critical step of making the food taste like something. This is a restaurant with good people, a pleasant atmosphere, and a kitchen that clearly knows how to cook. Now they just need to introduce their food to salt, pepper, and a few of their seasoning friends. Three stars. Because the potential is absolutely there. The flavor just never showed up for work.

They brought my French toast and our bacon first and let us know the pancakes would be out in just a minute. When they arrived, we were both shocked by the size. Those pancakes were huge! Everything was very good, and the staff was incredibly friendly. The only thing I wasn't a big fan of was the bacon, but my brother actually loved it. That's just one of those things where everyone's tastes are different. Whenever I can, I like supporting locally owned restaurants instead of chain restaurants, so I was glad we finally stopped in. I also appreciated the atmosphere. They had Christian music playing and scripture displayed throughout the restaurant. My faith is important to me, so I enjoyed that touch. It wasn't overbearing or pushed on anyone. It simply added to the welcoming atmosphere.

Instead, we left wondering if we had somehow visited a completely different restaurant than everyone else. Let me start with the positives. The restaurant is beautiful. A tremendous amount of thought, money, and effort clearly went into the design. It's bright, inviting, and visually impressive. The hostess was also warm, friendly, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Unfortunately, that's where things started heading downhill. We began with the fried deviled eggs. Now, this should have been a slam dunk. Fried? Deviled eggs? What's not to love? The answer: the breading. There was so much of it that it overwhelmed everything else. Instead of enhancing the flavor, it buried it. The deviled egg filling barely had a chance to introduce itself before getting tackled by the coating. Then came the Farmer's Garden Omelette, which both my wife and I ordered based on our server Katie's recommendation. What arrived was an omelette that seemed to have a strained relationship with vegetables. The spinach was still essentially raw, and the vegetables felt less like ingredients and more like something someone remembered at the last second. "Oh no, this is supposed to be a vegetable omelette." Tosses vegetables into center. Closes omelette. Problem solved. The result was an omelette where the eggs and vegetables never really came together as a dish. But the biggest disappointment wasn't the food. It was the service. Our server disappeared for extended stretches despite the restaurant being nearly empty. Water glasses sat empty. No tea refills. No check-ins. At one point I started wondering if she'd been recruited into a witness protection program. The only time my iced tea was refilled was when I finally asked for the check. That's generally not the point in the meal when you're hoping service suddenly kicks into gear. What makes this experience so frustrating is the potential. The restaurant looks fantastic. The location is great. The ownership has a proven track record nearby. But on this visit, the food execution and service simply didn't match the reputation. Disappointed. Not the breakfast experience we expected. And in a town overflowing with outstanding breakfast options, that's a tough miss. Two stars. Try another breakfast spot. In Gatlinburg, you have plenty of excellent choices.
