Don't second guess this one 10/10!!!! After having 2 meals in Pigeon Forge are that were not the best ... in fact they were awful we were about to eat McDonalds. Then Split Rail Eats pulled up on Yelp. Cutest place ever with the most delicious lunch. Cheeseburger tater tots: crispy tots, with hamburger crumbles that were delicious even by themselves. Chicken sandwich: crispy, juicy, flavorful, soft bun with just the right amount of Mayo. Even the side of cucumbers was delicious fresh and crunchy. One of My favorite places to eat in Gatlinburg! This restaurant is a hidden gem. During My trip I ate here twice and definitely would of ate here more. I had the gringo wrap and their cheesesteak. The cheesesteak was one of the best I've ever had. They also offer breakfast, fresh baked pastries, alcoholic beverages and ice cream. Everything on their menu is made from scratch. I recently visited Split Rail when in the Pigeon Forge area and this little spot outside of Gatlinburg offers some really solid food for a fair price. The location itself is very quaint with outdoor seating available as well if the weather is nice. During my visit I purchased the Philly cheesesteak with mushrooms and it was pretty good with the tater tots while the chicken sandwich was really solid with a good flavor profile. This location definitely gives one the local vibes which is a nice change from the commercialization of pigeon forge/Gatlinburg. Split Rail is absolutely phenomenal. Located at Covered Bridge in the Glades, it is a hidden gem that has a wide choice of different items that will cater for all tastes. So far, we've eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner there, and nothing has been a disappointment. The biscuits and gravy are outstanding, the SRE chicken salad sandwich is out of this world (big chunks of seared chicken ... no mush!), and the buffalo tater bowl is satisfying and full of flavor. Our food was very good, but the service was pretty slow. With all the crazy covid stuff, we figured we're all doing the best we can. I had the fish tacos - excellent. My husband had the fried chicken sandwich, which was also really good. Our kids had a ham and cheese hand pie, chicken fingers, and a fried chicken sandwich - all also all yummy. The location is on the Arts Trail, which is convenient if you're shopping the trail, but out of the way if you're in Gatlinburg. Delicious! We were looking for a place for breakfast that was out of the hustle and bustle of downtown Gatlinburg and found exactly what we needed at split Rail Eats. We ordered the B.L.E.A.T. Breakfast sandwich (bacon, lettuce, egg, avocado, toast) with chipotle mayo and the French toast. Both were perfectly done with excellent flavor. It was super cute kind of modern cabin themed in what im guessing is an apartment complex/open air shopping mall. The food was great! We tried the fried cheese curds, pimento cheese, buffalo tot bowl and greek tot bowl. As a south carolina native I was a little saddened by the pimento cheese because it looked SO yummy on the website, the naan was different and the cheese was oddly sweet to me. Regardless, TRY IT. I ordered a Buffalo chicken sandwich and it was 10/10 amazing. My husband said his burger was great and the pickles were home made- he had the fredo fries and they were perfect. We stumbled upon this gem as we looked for eateries off of the strip, where we'd been mostly disappointed in overpriced eats. Luckily the food here proved itself to be leaps and bounds better than most of the other food we'd found in Gatlinburg.
