I had a craving for a poke bowl and Splendid Sushi totally hit the spot! The bowl came out super quickly after I ordered- freaky fast. And it was delicious! The flavors were great and they nailed the perfect consistency for sushi rice. I'll come back here again! Also they had a sign that they have spam musubi! One of my favorite comfort foods but it wasn't in the meal plan for today so I'll have to save some space for it in the future! read more

Splendid Sushi - California Salmon Poke bowl - Sushi Bars Near Me - Concord, New Hampshire

The freshest sushi around this area, consistently great tasting, fast service, open kitchen to see how things are handled and done well. I've never had anything bad here. I like that it's more of an informal sit down/take out place too, similar to true Japanese sushi bars. read more

Unassuming space with better-than expected, wallet-friendly rolls and poke bowls. Definitely recommend, especially for takeout or a quick lunch. read more

Splendid Sushi - Sushi Bars Near Me - Concord, New Hampshire

I have ordered from Splendid Sushi six times in the last six months, and the sushi is fantastic every time. Not only is this excellent Sushi for New Hampshire, I would put it in the top 10 in the US. I feel fortunate we have such good sushi in good old Concord, New Hampshire. We always order the dumplings. I always order the Splendid Dragon roll. I need to branch out, but I cannot pass up on this roll. If you like Sushi and are in the Concord area, you must stop by. read more

Consistently fantastic sushi that is reasonably priced. The staff are friendly, the space is clean, and the food is prepared quickly. I always stop by for lunch when I'm in the area. read more

This is a wonderful family-run business. The poke bowls stand out for lunch and for dinner take-out.

We looked at the Yelp reviews and decided to eat lunch here. As others mentioned, the place is really clean and they prepare the food in an area where you can watch. The décor of the restaurant is very basic yet functional. They appear to do a lot of takeout business. I had the Hawaiian poke bowl and my wife had the shrimp and fried tofu roll with spicy sauce. Our orders were ready in around 15 minutes and the presentation was excellent. Mine had a lot of fresh tuna for a poke bowl and all of the ingredients were very fresh. The taste was good as well. The only issue was it was small for a poke bowl. They could have added more rice, shredded lettuce or shredded carrots. That would not have increased their cost by much and it would have filled the bowl. My wife said her roll was good but not very spicy. Overall, this was good food at a good price. It's definitely worth going here. The only issue for us is we have had better poke bowls. read more

The California Roll was awesome, couldn't recommend it more! If you're getting that, get vegetable dumplings too, even Rainbow Roll. It's all awesome, couldn't recommend it more. If you're in Concord, this is your go to sushi place! The staff were very nice, wait time was fast! The tables were excellently clean, nice music in the background, this is a fantastic place! read more

Good product, small portions (I had the ahi poke bowl), super fresh, tasty! $15 for lunch hurts a little.

People - 10/10 Food - 10/10 Drinks - na Decor - 8/10 Restrooms - (didn't use) I was in the area and I saw that splendid sushi had a sign advertising $4.99 sushi. So I thought I'd go in and see what my options were and try something out. I went in and the worker was very friendly and showed me a list of choices. I ended up going with the spicy shrimp roll and I was amazed. The turnaround time for getting the sushi was quick and I enjoyed the texture and flavor. I would highly recommend this if you're in the mood for some sushi! Will definitely be returning! read more

This place is quaint, very simple but good. No fuss here and the prices are good. I came here for dinner and was very happy. I got the pork dumplings, 4.99 and then the combo of 5 Cali rolls/ 5 spicy tuna rolls and it was perfect. I also liked the fact that they have low sodium soy sauce as an option at the table. It wasn't busy but definitely they see come good traffic come in and out. I recommend this place for casual sushi dinning. No drinks but you can get a cannof soda or a specialty Asian soda pop, sorry don't know what they are called. Staff is friendly and gave me extra ginger when I asked, I love ginger. read more

We love sushi, and were thrilled to find a spot for Poke bowls! Picked up take out twice, and have been pleased with the freshness, taste, and presentation. Prices are reasonable, too. The shop is small and clean. It has a few tables should you be interested in gobbling your delights there vs. taking out. We'll add this to our rotation :-) read more

This place was very clean. The bathroom was clean. I was greeted with a smile and the Sushi tasted fresh I asked about the dumplings bcc I don't eat pork and he made me some without the pork that was really nice because at other restaurant they always complain and tell me that that's how it's made but he went all out and I will be appreciated. read more

Everyone here is so friendly and welcoming, and the food is sushi is amazing; I would eat here every day if I could. Their salmon is so satisfying, I love it in the poke bowl and also as nigiri. Its cute and small inside, I love the window seat and the bathrooms are always clean. Love love love this place! read more

I came here because of the great yelp reviews and I was sadly disappointed. The place is def not a place to eat at. It's def more of a take out vibe. I are in and was very disappointed, the tables weren't cleaned I had to ask for a table to wiped down. I should of left then but the reviews were so good. I ordered the shrimp gyoza, the splendid dragon roll and a tuna roll. The shrimp gyoza were cold and they didn't give any sauce for it. The splendid dragon roll was good but the tuna roll was awful very fishy. I will not be coming back, I'm hoping it was just an off night for them. The staff was very friendly. read more

This is the best sushi we have had in NH, hands down. The tuna nigiri and yellowtail were so delicious and tender. Nothing fancy here, just a really clean place with awesome sushi. read more

This is a wonderful place. The food is fresh and delicious every single time. The owners and staff are friendly and efficient. The whole place is spotless. The in-store dining is not fancy-- more of a take-out place with courtesy tables. This is not a negative-- just know this for your expectations. Absolutely best sushi in NH, with a most wonderful staff. read more

Sushi is fresh, flavorful, and price is fair for quality. Never been disappointed. Also inside the restaurant is very nice interior, calm, clean, and well decorated. Staff was also very nice and welcoming! Definitely would recommend for takeout as well as dine in. read more

The table/plates weren't cleaned (had stains). Although the service was satisfactory, the dining experience resembled that of a self-service sushi establishment, where patrons could conceivably retrieve their own plates, albeit being served by the staff. It felt like I shouldn't have to give tip. read more

We tried Splendid Sushi for the first time today, and it was pretty good for NH sushi. There was one stand-out dish that was unexpected--the Tamago (sweet rolled omelet) nigiri sushi was outstanding. I must have caught the chef when he was making the Tamago, because it was still slightly warm. It was delightful, and took me back to Japan. That being said, we also got: - Small sushi rolls - One order of two rolls for about $6. We got one cucumber and one avocado. My hubby doesn't like raw fish and prefers these. They were fine. Given that the place we usually get this from charges about the same for EACH roll, this was a bargain. - California roll - Hubby had this too. He said it was tasty, but the crab didn't taste 100% fresh. - Spicy Tuna Roll - Instead of chopping up the tuna and making a spicy tuna salad, this chef makes a tuna/avocado/cucumber roll and then tops it with a spicy mayo. Tasty, but I found the rice to be a tad bit mushy. - Tamago Nigiri - As I stated before, it was divine! - Eel Roll - I ordered this but didn't have any. I was too full. :-) - Wakame (seaweed) salad - Love the flavor, but it was bit watery/gooey. This was a good value for the money. Not exactly the best sushi I've had, but not the worst. I'd go back just for the Tamago, which bumped this place up from three stars to four. read more

Easily the best sushi in concord. The specialty rolls are legit! And the pork shumai is delicious!

I love this place! Always has the freshest food and without a doubt made with love. I see that others have commented on wait times and such but this business is run by two amazing people who work very hard to please each and every customer. I think the wait is worth it in the end. It's a clean and calm environment great for a quick lunch out or a nice dine in. Highly recommend! read more

I traveled the country and have had sushi in most coastal states and this is the best sushi I've ever had. I've had expensive "fancy" sushi that is not as good as splendid sushi. The sushi is always fresh and consistent. It's also very clean in there. Every sushi place should take notes. Service is very good the wife is so sweet and the husband is a master at his craft. Delicious and fresh food at an affordable price. No frill albeit not high end (that is not their positioning). I go for takeout lunch and dinner when staying at Concord. Efficient process to get the food out with courteous staff. They are always popular but never had to wait long. Just a reminder to myself not to come here again in the future. I came here about a year ago, forgot I came here, saw the outstanding reviews, and got duped into coming back. Not bad, but not good either -- problem is that the reviews are super overrated (especially the 4.9 stars over 138 google reviews). I can see how it could be considered a decent spot for Concord, which seems to lack any decent dining options, but is underwhelming in the grand scheme of things. Poke bowl especially leaves a lot to be desired. Staff seem friendly/nice. Prices are nothing to write home about and I would say on the slightly expensive side. Quality is "fine" (similar to supermarket sushi). I was hiking Mt. Cardigan and had to decide whether to go here or drive 20 extra mins out of my way to Plymouth and I regret not going to Plymouth. Dear future-Ben: If you are hiking in the area in the future and are looking for a place to eat, take the extra time to go to Plymouth. read more

Yummy sushi, friendly staff, quick service. Called in take out and was very pleased! Good proportions - 10 pieces of sushi in most of the rolls we ordered.
