I had a large order so I went to the restaurant the day before and spoke to Candi. We worked out a plan after I told her I needed to keep the food warm for at least an hour. very accommodating. I live in Concord and have been to most restaurants in the area. This one is my very favorite! Beautiful inside with a full bar, spacious areas, great service. Not overly expensive, which is very important today. I have been going here about every 2 weeks for the past year and always glad I did. Don't go by the past bad reviews from last year. There are no children working here and the husband and wife team are great. They will bend over backwards to make you happy. Please try it so I can continue to get my Chinese food fix. read more

Oh boy! Friday night and tie for Chinese takeout. Made the call and picked it up ten to fifteen minutes later. Here's what we found when we got home: Everything except chicken chow mein was COLD. Odd how food cold get cold in that time unless, of course, it was premade and not kept warm. Wings: worthy of a picture. Whoever prepped them whacked off the small wingtip but not at the joint. Each wing had bare bones, 1/2" long protruding from the tip. Cold Egg rolls: Nicely filed, but cold and not fried long enough; raw in the middle. Fried rice: Warm and tasty. Nothing special. Chicken chow mein: Good, hot and tasty. The bill: Two dollar up charge for extra bean sprouts in the chow mein and fried rice. Overall impression: Looks like the place has changed hands. I recently read a short story titled "Bagheria" that carried themes of nostalgia, impermanence, and authenticity. The author noted how the jasmine plants of Bagheria, a small town on the Sicilian coast, were special due to the soil and water that they grew in. After her family was forced out of Sicily, the jasmine plants she grew later in life never would never smell the same as those that she adored in Bagheria. This restaurant is my Bagherian jasmine: my Turkish-Chinese family has dined here for as long as I can remember, and it has served our staple Chinese restaurant in the greater-Concord area. I have seen the restaurant go through expansion, multiple menus, and ownership changes. Dine-in used to be the norm, but now the restaurant seems to exclusively operate on take-out. However, although the soil of my relationship with the restaurant has changed - my mom no longer speaks with the owner in animated Chinese, my father is no longer able to flaunt his dexterity with chopsticks, and I no longer sit in the dark pink chairs surveying the entire menu with wide eyes before selecting the same dish - the food at Man Yee still manages to maintain its scent to me. Each bite matches the tastes in my memories, and provides consistency amidst a whirlwind of change. Our favorite dishes have been the L2 (a lunch special, but worth getting for dinner), the egg foo young, and a saucy fried chicken dish (general tao's, orange, etc.). These days, sharing take-out together on the couch allows us to briefly take a whiff of jasmine and remember what once was amidst what is. I hope to see this restaurant maintain operation for as long as my family lives in the area. read more

We've been here before and enjoyed it, but today was good and not so good. We got a pupu for 2, there were 2 beef teriyaki, the picture I attached is one of them, and this was BEFORE anyone bit it, it's how it came out of the box. And it was overcooked and dry. The crab rangoon were pretty good, I liked the egg roll, but the chicken fingers were kind of tough and the boneless spareribs were tiny little thin strips and were really dry. This place is a little hole in the wall offering Chinese food (Cantonese & Szechuan)for full service dining, takeout, and delivery. The dining room has pink booths & chairs with hard laminate tables. They offer over 30 all day combination specials ($6.50-$8.35 plus tax) and 15 luncheon specials ($5.55 plus tax). I had the D4 Pork Lo Mein and Pork Fried Rice with Egg Roll ($6.50 plus tax). The food was ready in under 10 minutes. The good portion of food tasted okay. The lo mein had soft noodles with lots of water chestnuts, vegetables, but not much pork strips. The pork fried rice was tan in color with chunks of tender pork. The egg roll was decent with a good mix of cabbage and ground pork. Great clean location. Had wonton soup, it was amazing. Plus had two drinks, they were delicious. Took home a pupu for two and house fried rice. Pupu was really good. The service is great....Atmosphere is pleasant ...It's a fairly large area with the new addition they just added which plays host to a full service bar and a Sushi station where we can watch the magic happen & the most beautiful ceiling tiles I have ever seen! Of all the Chinese Restaurants in the Concord area this seems to be the best tasting and most "clean" Chinese food I've had and I've eaten at all of them. By "clean" I am in no way implying that eating here is healthy in any way, however in comparison to some other Chinese restaurants in the area the food here actually has individual flavor and isn't drenched in grease and it doesn't all taste like the same fried food. The pork lo mein is great, orange chicken is good, and the egg rolls are some of the best I've had. That being said we will order from here again (we did takeout, not dine in). read more

And we've been searching for a good and reasonably priced Chinese place in the Concord area for about a year- we finally found it! Most of the Chinese joints in the area pack 4 or 5 dumplings into a paper box, but not here, full platter! The dumpling sauce was also perfect. (The tables stayed this way through our entire meal). I ordered scallops with garlic sauce, and got beef with garlic sauce and 3 scallops. The food was cold on top but hot in the middle... microwave? The drinks were mediocre at best. When we asked for the sweet and sour chicken to be to go they packed the chicken without the sauce... ummm this would be chicken fingers not sweet and sour chicken. Really wanted Chinese food and Manyee was the only place we could find open during the Blizzard of 2017. That alone gives them an extra star. The food was pretty damn good too. Could tell they used Slightly less sodium then other Chinese places in the area as I didn't have to chug 2 gallons of water while eating it. This is my husband's favorite Chinese place in his parents neck of the woods. We have had the Pu Pu Platters x 2 every time and they are always delicious. This time we also had pork fried rice and vegetable lo mein. For four people so we order 2 of the platter for 2. We are until we were stuff and there was still 3 to go boxes. Yay for cold Chinese for breakfast! The vegetable lo mein was steaming hot and oh so good. I loved that they put mushrooms as well as the standard cabbage, onions and carrots in it. The rice is good, with chunks of pork and onions in it. My favorite thing on the platter was the spare ribs. Actually, everyone was leaning towards the ribs as their favorite. I know we will be back the next time we are in New Hampshire. read more

This was by far the worst food I have had in my entire life. The chicken literally was mushy fat and tasted like prison duck sauce mixed with Mcdonalds chicken nuggets left in the rain for 2 weeks. It was served on a paper plate and they made me give my cup back for a refill. I'll be shocked if I don't get food poisoning and I pray for anyone who ever eats there. Disgusting. We usually have a good experience when we visit this restaurant, however, when my husband and I visited today we did not receive good service. The restaurant opens at 10am. We arrived shortly after 3pm and there were no employees anywhere in sight to greet us (not even behind the bar). We waited for almost 10mins before I took out my cell phone to call the front desk. New Year's Eve disappointment to say the least! We have never seen appetizers so small anywhere, chicken wings, $8.00 for 6 tiny pigeon sized wings that were so over cooked they were like jerky! Pork strips half the thickness of a pencil and very few in the order. Beef on a stick, tiny little 2 inch pieces that covered about 25% of the stick.......all of the apps sucked! I usually spend $70 to $100 there every other month but no more. If you want good apps and to get your money's worth don't go here, now I see why they could afford a second location, they charge full price and give you half of what you paid for........from know on they will no longer get our business.....too bad, been going there for 15+ years......time to get another Chinese food restaurant..........Hen Wong in Manchester has great food and you get more than what you pay for....every container is overfilled, mounded over the top......worth the 20 minute ride.... The food was very tasty and cooked the way I had requested.I was also very impressed with the portion sizes. Danger! Danger! This place is funky chicken with a side of yuck. 1. Dead mouse on the sidewalk as we walked in. 2. Poor service. 3. Went to restroom and there was no soap. How do employees wash hands without soap? 4. After noticing there was no soup, was dismayed to see my soup delivered with the waiter's (likely unwashed) thumb in my soup. 5. There was a gap under the back foot so large that I could see traffic driving by... remember the dead mouse out front? He could have easily come inside with a dozen of his friends through that gap. Recently had expansion and decor update that included sushi and drink bars. Hadn't been in a while before the update because the dishes were getting boring and the restaurant was dark and small. It felt like it needed attention so was delighted to see it got it. Waitstaff had nice uniforms. We had two new employees that the owner was carefully grooming to be attentive. Prices about the same as before but food looked fresher and brighter. Teriyaki beef was thick and moist. Egg roll tasted fresh. There was life and activity at the bar but not distracting to table diners. I'm excited with the changes and look forward to being a regular again. I walked in with my family and the lights were out. The man at the counter took our order and seemed as if he had something better to be doing. We got our order and left. We arrived home and found that one meal, D22 on the Menu was missing the chicken, one of the main parts to the order. My food was all there. D11 was the dish. The rice was nowhere near the same as previous dinning here. It looked old and dry. The chicken had a fishy taste to it like some foods are mixing in the frying oils or on the grill. There were small pieces of shells like lobster or crab in the sauce and were hurting my teeth. I called and the guy that answered argued with me about how I did my order and told me I could not have what I had asked for. He passed the phone to a woman and I was told to give them my number and they would give me free food next time. I had to throw away my food. I would advise nobody to go here as this could be a health risk. read more
