I am writing this review as we wait in line to get checked in. You all NEED HELP. The line just to get in is ridiculously slow. One worker can't handle the crowd. The efficiency just isn't there. We've been here 17 minutes and only two families have been checked in. Someone needs to come to the lobby to help or you need to hire more people. Tiny kids can't wait this long. But aside from that, it's just poor business. We won't be back until you all figure out a better way to run your facility efficiently. This is a fun place for kids! My kids are 6 and 8 and had a blast. The slides are perfect and I felt comfortable not having to keep my eyes on them 100% of the time. However, 4 stars is for the chlorine smell. It is overwhelming in there. After 2 hours my eyes and my sons eyes were red and burning and I never got in the water. The staff is very friendly & welcoming. Kids have so much fun here, I'd say about 3 hours of entertainment. Everything is clean and all employees were wearing masks or face shields. I wish they had some sort of annual pass so I could come more often, the admission price isn't too bad, but too much of you wanted to go weekly. read more

Place is a cute concept however it was extremely over crowded. It's summer, the weekend and this Texas heat so I understood why there was standing room only. They was kind enough to let us go into the reserved area. If you have a child who doesn't like water getting dumped on their heads, I would suggest not going... quite a few kids are crying and stressed so my advice is to be mindful of your child's water preferences and take that into consideration... The chlorine is a bit much... every 2 minutes the kids were crying their eyes were burning.My skin was irritated upon leaving. Paid $45 for the kids to ask to leave after 45 mins. The place is more suited for kids 6 and under. Over 3 stars, it was overall a nice adorable indoor option just wasn't suitable for my family but it was worth the experience. I have mixed reviews, but more positive than negative. Pros: 1. Such a great concept!! My kids (ages 9 and 6) loved it so much and played for a few hours. Well worth the $15/each visit. 2. Super friendly staff from the front door to the exit door and in between. 3. Clean place- that is such a HUGE pro!! 4. Fun indoor slides kept my kids busy for well over two hours today. Cons: 1. I came to scope out for a potential birthday party. $275 gets you a wooden table rental and 10 kids & 10 adults in the door. No table decor. No food. No cake. No nothing...just a picnic table. Huh?! 2. The height restrictions on various slides may hinder business. 3. Just adirondack chairs; no tables anywhere. That's tough if you plan to grab a pizza at the snack bar (no outside food allowed) to share while you play. Overall, we loved this place. Went for a birthday party. 6 y/o and myself both played for at least two hours. It was fun. Even as an adult I enjoyed it! It's warm and clean. The staff was kind. Lots of seating for everyone. Several bathrooms that were all also clean. There's a kind of staging area outside the bathrooms too to set your stuff down while you get organized. They sell snacks and what not. Not sure on the whole situation with that as we did the Bday party thing. I WOULD recommend this place. Totally. It's especially fun when it's bitter cold outside. What a fun treat to be planning in the warm water inside!! -only negative is lack of rubber mats in the bathroom. The floors can get a little slick in there. read more

We usually love this place. Have come at least twice a month since May and many times before that. Suddenly, there is a new rule that strollers aren't allowed inside "due to lack of space". This makes sense on a busy weekend, but we are here on a Wednesday during school hours. We have brought a stroller in many times and never been in the way. There are maybe 4 other kids here. And I have a 4 year old, 3 year old, and 5 month old and I had to haul all my kids and stuff inside and then drag them back outside to put the stroller in the car. This rule is ridiculous for a place for young children and we won't be back. read more

This place is cool! We've been twice and it's been a great experience. I like that it's reserved for younger kids, so there aren't larger kiddos running over the little ones. My daughters are 3 & 5 and tall enough to go on all the slides, and they slides are fun for adults too. I think she's 36". There's a snack station you can buy all sorts of good snacks and healthy options. And you can order a pizza from dominos. The lifeguards are all really sweet and friendly in their corrections. They are chatty and all seem like really genuine "young adults". I cannot wait until they implement a season pass so that we can go all the time. The price is reasonable though, and I like that they don't charge adults full price. There's a really nice seating area (social distanced without trying). And a great patio area that's elevated for parties. I would definitely consider hosting a birthday party especially in the winter months. Keep up the great work Splash Shack! read more

Ooooh this place is fun for littles! We went on a freezing, rainy day and inside you wouldn't know it was miserable outside. I was really impressed by the facility, the place was well maintained, bathrooms were super clean. The staff seemed nice enough, I didn't witness any scary domineering whistle blowing or anything like that towards the kids. In fact they were pretty patient with my eldest that chickened out a few times at the top of the slides. My kids had a great time! Oh, and my husband and I did too;-) because we got to play also. Great for toddlers and infants. There are many slide options that even the smallest can enjoy. Safe environment, no deep pools and no excessive thrill rides that would frighten the little ones. Mine got hooked on a few of the lower slides and just went over and over and didn't want to leave. Open even during daytime school hours for those stay-at-home moms / dads that want to take their younger non-school-age-yet kids to the waterpark. You can't bring in food/drink but they have a snack stand that is reasonably priced, unlike most parks. Pizza, chips, cookies, variety of beverages - enough to keep you going while there. Great place for the whole family. Adults are also allowed on the slides too. If your are not participating in the water I would recommend to still bring comfortable light clothes. The lifeguards are all high schoolers that don't understand kids. One of them literally physically picked up my son and moved I'm out of the way. Needless to say my 2 year old was traumatized by a stranger grabbing him and screaming no in his face. Now we literally cannot go back. First off WOW!! I'm so upset that I'm barely finding out about this spot after looking where the newest HteaO was I saw this on google maps and figured we'd try it out today on a Friday afternoon. This place was better than I was expecting, first off we were greeted so nicely by the guy up front, once we got in I was pleased to see it wasn't super busy, the entire staff was so polite and friendly. The whole park including the bathrooms and seating area were clean and tidy! I was so impressed by the cleanliness especially in the bathroom changing area! My daughters are 7 and 2 and this place was perfect for them. I loved that they had smaller slides for my toddler. We stayed close to 3 hours and it was an amazing experience from start to finish! After a visit to the splash shack my little one split his head open needed two staples in the emergency room. Not sure if the slide has an exposed sharp edge at the bottom. We were with him the whole time and the bottom of the slide is hidden from the front view. No one saw anything. Really? Hope they focus more on the safety to keep others from getting hurt. Or at least install a video camera. So we will know exactly how these accidents happen. read more

I've been to this place once before three years ago and my children had a great time but this past weekend, February 2023 my children were yelled at at the lifeguards in an aggressive manner. I did complain to a supervisor name, Emma nothing was resolved. He continued to be aggressive. I've also called and emailed another lady named Danny. She never responded. This place does not. Hold their lifeguards accountable for their actions and cruelty to children. I feel that the lifeguards need to be trained in diversity with children. My eight-year-old son had to tell one of the lifeguards " Can you please stop yelling at me " the lifeguard said "I do apologize I will stop yelling at you". and that really breaks my heart because you knew you were doing something wrong and a child had to call you out on it. read more

Splash shack is a lot of fun for my 3 and 5 year olds. It isn't very large, but it's indoors, very clean, no water deeper than a foot and has a nice variety of slides. Also, be aware of the large dumping bucket of water. I like to wear a ball cap, so that the water doesn't get in my eyes. If your child is under 48 inches, they do require an adult to pay the "participating adult" rate of 6.99. A non participating adult is 1.99. Kids under 42" cost 6.99 each, while over 42" are 14.99. The kids over 42" have access to the 4 largest slides. The under 42" kids do not. I do feel it is a bit pricey, considering mine will want to leave after 1.5 - 2.5 hours. There just isn't a lot there. That said, we have went twice now on Wednesday afternoon/evening and it is pretty empty. It's quite nice. Yesterday there was literally 1 child and his father there, in addition to myself, my kids and their grandmother. The other Wednesday that we went there were 4 other kids and a few parents. So while it is pricey, it is worth it once in a while. It would be nice if they had a punch card or something for a prepaid number of visits discount, but as far as I know, they do not. The staff are all very nice and they do keep a good eye on the kiddos, so it's definitely a well run operation. I wouldn't recommend it for older kids, but if your kids are under 8 or 10, they will likely enjoy it. read more

So overpriced!!! They charge more then rocking river which is double the size. We came in yesterday, I had a 6 and a 3 year old. My 3 year was under 42 inches so I had to pay as participating. My 3 year old wouldn't get in, he was scared of the buckets. So I spoke with the manager about getting a refund. I was told no, regardless if my son swims or not he is 6.99 and that I'm 6.99. Neither one of us stepped into the water. We stayed for less than 2 hours because I could no longer bare the strong chlorine smells. It amazes me you can't return back within the same day. We have a receipt and a bracelet! It wasn't worth $32 bucks for 2 hours when only one kid played. Oh and you can't bring in any food in, they want you to buy from their overpriced concession stand. If you're going there to let the kids cool off and blow off a little steam, this place is perfect, well worth the money. Just keep a close eye on your kids because the "lifeguards" don't. Oh...and don't order the pizza. $$$$ Also, if you're interested in holding a party there for the kids, look elsewhere because the entire process from the quoting to checkout was laughable. I'll preface this by stating the information packet states "5 adults and 5 children for $150". Apparently, there's either a lot of single parents, absentee moms, or absentee dads in the eyes of the Splash Shack. "Sorry, little Johnny, you have to choose either your mom or dad to attend your birthday party. You can't have both." Then there's therapy for little Johnny, mom and dad get divorced over the ordeal, dad ends up as a homeless man they call Ashley Roachclip, mom changes her name to Jasmine Tinkerbell and moonlights as a stripper just to make ends meet so little Johnny can go to college. But I digress... The whole process was made confusing because the two people that made the initial quotes to us and the final cashier apparently work for three different companies because none of them knew what the other was doing or saying. The first two that quoted us said that for 8 adults and 4 children with 3 pizzas it would be $211 and she would forward the information for us to look over. We gave her our deposit and 4 days later, we still had no information. On the 5th day, the second "manager" called to get the exact head count and to go over the details of the space rental. Head count was confirmed at 8 adults and 4 children which confirmed the $210 price quoted initially. It was during this call he mentioned "it's ok...because of Covid we understand...we're only going to charge you $210". It was also during this call that they told us no on bringing a birthday cake AFTER the first one told us we could. No big deal, but still, right hand...meet left hand. Then upon checkout the day of the party, we were charged for two additional adults and one child WHICH WE DID NOT HAVE in attendance. We paid for 10 adults and 5 children. As I stated from the onset, the packet states 5 and 5 but THAT'S NOT WHAT WE WERE QUOTED BY TWO DIFFERENT PEOPLE. In any case, lesson learned. Setting up a birthday party was just a bit too much for these guys. No big deal, everyone has their strengths. Hope you have better luck than we did! read more

It's a small indoor water park great for kids 4-9 . My 6 year old enjoyed it a lot but not so much for the older one who is 12. Don't get me wrong it is a fun place but wears off easily for older kids as the rides are appropriate for younger lot. The place is well designed. The fact that I could see my kids gave me a peace of mind . And at the same time I could just lounge in the chair. It's very clean and since I was there until the closing I saw them clean out each chair with Clorox. The people who work there are young adults - high school seniors or such and they are very responsive. They all had a very pleasant attitude. There was an older adult present, I am not sure if he was the owner or not. It has a small snack shop. They have partnered with dominoes pizza and takes about 20-30 mins to get it. Do NOT go if child is under 42 inches. The experience was disappointing for a few reasons, but the one star rating is for how disappointed and angry I am with the manager. I had called ahead to make sure it would be worthwhile to bring my kid for his fourth birthday--he's just barely under the 42 mark. I was assured there was plenty to do and he could still ride a variety of slides. But when we got there, it turned out there are 2 water slides and two "kiddie slides" that's it. One water slide was closed, one required kids to lay flat and cross arms, which was too much for my little one--not surprising. And the kiddie slides weren't much bigger than what's in my back yard. And the place is filled with things little ones CAN'T do. So all my kid could do was go down the same two kiddie slides over and over--why would I want to pay for that? And on top of that, I had to spend the whole time telling my kid he couldn't do this or that--way more no's than yes's for young kids. We were only there for literally 30 minutes before I gave up and just took my kid to the ymca. He had way more fun there, where there was water he could actually swim in, and he wasn't just surrounded by things he wasn't allowed to touch. And we were the ONLY people at the splash shack when we were there, seeing as literally no one was there but us, I wish they could have allowed him to play in the water like he wanted to, but no. As I was exiting I mentioned to the desk worker that I was really disappointed and felt mislead by my phone call, and he was really great and went to get his manager. However, the manager refused to come talk to me herself, and just had him give me coupons. Really?! I hated this place so much I'm leaving after 30 minutes and you're giving me coupons to come spend more money here? I asked the desk worker again if there was any way we could do even a partial refund, and he sweetly again asked the manager, who still refused to come talk to me herself, and didn't offer anything better. I'm shocked and disappointed that she would shirk her responsibility to customer service, and refuse to talk to me herself. No way was it worth what I spent to be there, the experience of spending my kids birthday telling him over and over he couldn't do any of the things he wanted to just stunk. The fact that the main slide for little kids was closed and we were only there for 30 minutes should have already been cause for some recompense. read more

I took my grandchildren there on a Sunday afternoon buy recommendation of a friend. My two boys were 9 and 11 and they were tired after half an hour and wanted to go home. They were bored. My two-and-a-half-year-old granddaughter was afraid of the giant Splash bucket.
