I called Diablo Valley Pool Service based on a friend's recommendation, and I'm so glad I did. The technician arrived on time, was extremely professional, and explained the entire process clearly. They provided different options to resolve the issue. Our water level is now stable, and we finally have peace of mind.

The filter I received was approximately $1600, probably cheaper with their bulk discount. I was charged $2600. Therefore, they are making about $500/hour. They also replied and said that "gas and warranty" factored into the costs. I know gas is high in CA but they are based in the same city i live in. Also the 3 year warranty doesn't cost anything as it comes from Pentair directly for any licensed installment. I don't mind somebody making a lot of money, but the fact that they don't admit that they charge $500 / hour is what I have a problem with.

I'm giving four stars because the initial service and the actual work were great, though the…read moreadministrative side was a bit of a hurdle. The Pros: The initial communication was fantastic. They were incredibly helpful in walking me through the details and getting everything sorted at the start. The work they did on the pool was also high quality, and I'm very happy with the results of the service itself. The Cons: I'm knocking off one star due to some communication and paperwork delays. There were issues getting the waiver paperwork sent over, and it took longer than expected to receive the final invoice. I was also told I would receive a referral for a repair contractor but never heard back on that front. Overall, they do great work and the first impression was excellent--if the back-office follow-through were a bit faster, it would be a five-star experience!

Over the years, they've replaced outdated equipment, and helped get my pool up to its peak performance.
