Last minute hubby said he was going to his company get together and would like to have something fun to wear. I was able to find a few items from Target however not the Complete outfit for Harry Potter. I remembered this location from driving past a few weeks before so decided to visit after work. It's been over a decade since I have visited a Spirit Halloween and the last one was in the San Jose area before we moved here over 6 years ago! Now after visiting and spending time in here I wondered why I had not been in one for all these years! EVERYTHING that is needed, maybe needed, didn't realize needed but should consider to need is at Spirit Halloween! The prices are a bit high however the quality of the materials and products are high quality so can ensure will last for years to come and not break down or need mending. I was able to find everything needed for a Harry Potter costume and also found items for my own vampress costume as well! Saw signs everywhere for clearance starting the day after Halloween and then each day afterwards even further markdowns! I was going to go back and pickup more items for the years ahead to keep stored in our garage but didn't get a chance to go back. This year I will surely visit again and take advantage of the clearance sale! read more

Unfortunately this is another spot where they hire people who have no customer service skills. I bought a costume for my child and it fit too small. I was told when I purchased it that I could easily exchange it for another size if it didn't fit. I came in to exchange it and was told that I would have to pay more for the costume because I had initially used a coupon they offered on Labor Day. I asked if they can adjust the price because it was just an exchange and not a return. They said they wouldn't and that was that. I just asked for a refund and will be purchasing a costume at Target. Their customer service excels and I'd rather spend my money there. read more

I never have bothered to shop at this Halloween store, but we were desperate for a cool Halloween costume. I purchased our costumes from the San Jose location and we didn't think to look in the bags to make sure everything was in there. It's Halloween today and we are back in town and excited to wear our costume, but my husband is Pedro and he is missing all of his accessories to the black wig, mustache and necklace. So, he has blonde hair and blue eyes and the shirt looks great on him, but he looks like a normal dude. We were so bummed because I was going to be Nepolian Dinomite!!! I went to the Folsom location and they seem to have so much in stock. The gal that helped me said each store is run differently and she was nice enough to at least give me the wig and I can go buy everything else. Thank you to the gal that helped me today. I walked in today with my three year old looking for costumes. The music was so fast paced and loud it was distracting. The center display kept going off with these loud screeches. The entire audio experience in this place was chaotic. My daughter does not get scared easily and she was so overwhelmed by the noises and loud pumping music that she started to cry and wanted to leave. As we were leaving another kid was crying at the noise as well. I understand Halloween is about the frights, but this is a store that sells costumes for children and should be made accessible to kids. I now have to make a separate trip to find a place that doesn't make certain ages of its largest customer base uncomfortable. Check your vibe in this store, turn it down. Allow kids to come in without fear. read more

I walked into this store recently out of curiosity since I've never been in one. I think it's good for looking at weird costumes. I didn't check the price on anything but the plastic swords and axes looked cool enough to get. Didn't see any costumes that I liked, the anime and gaming costumes looked super cheesy. I think I'd find better costumes/cosplay online. Also was there anybody working here other than their one cashier? Or were they wearing a costume blending in with the store? read more

What a complete joke of a working staff. I went in today and purchased a astronaut suit and also helmet which I couldn't try the helmet on in store. At purchase the cashier told me sales were final "after today". Not today. I go home and the helmet did not fit me at all but I was happy with the suit. Since the helmet was $50 I drove back literally an hour after to get a return and they told me sorry I was out of luck. Complete and utter joke of a manager didn't even give me the time when I told her I was just here and continued to yell with a bad attitude "NEXT" to the customers in line. I was scammed out of $50 due to lack of intelligence and professionalism. Hire people that are qualified to run a store and know common sense with a customer. read more

I went to exchange my son's costume that I had bought from the Sunrise Spirit Halloween store. BTW the Sunrise store customer service was HORRIBLE. Long story short, the Palladio manager was very understand and kindly agreed to work with me. I really appreciate her kindness and willingness to work with me so my son can have the costume he wanted and enjoy his halloween. Thank you so much Palladio SH manager. I came here recently for the first time and I was pretty impressed. First of all... it's a lot bigger than one would think. This location has so much, it's really a must for the Halloween season. As soon as you enter, a lot of the merchandise (most of it) is out of the box and out for display. It's really great because you get to see what your really buying. The store is organized very well. There's a baby, kid, adult section. Also a just accessory area- stuff, hats, wigs, and face paint. There's so many costumes! You literally have so much to choose from. And there are many home decor options- from outside your home to the outside! I really enjoyed the Hocus Pocus line of stuff, so cute and so fun! I suggest that. Also, there was a in store haunted walk through- it is a fun way to enjoy all the scary stuff. It's not too scary, but probably not appropriate for real young kids. It was a cool perk to get inspired by the merchandise. The prices are on the higher side, but you won't have to wait or pay shipping. I would come back and I would suggest it! read more

This store has really lost the quality, of there animitronics. Most times not makeing it through the one season, like the poseable metal frame dummy, after purchace wouldnt stand alone returned, him x2 still needed a standing item to support. As well as the toe tag corpse, bought 2 different ones still doesnt operate like directions claim it should. Also the standing hammer clown woulnt move or talk, and was unable to return. Quite an expensive prop. Even walmart sales better made products, at extremely cheaper prices. Maybe you should take lessons. read more

the workers at this store...followed us the whole time. they aggressively stared us down and made sure we did not steal the fortnite piñata. they also followed us all around even when my squad decided to split up and join th hype house they sent two workers after us. this is barnacles and the professionalism is a f in my gradebook. never going back -toodles wenis wappers read more

The employee assured me that I would be able to return items I bought if I came back before 11pm. When I came back to return the items, they refused to do so. The manager was arguing with me about what her employee told me when she wasn't around. It's not good customer service to argue with your customers. If anything just say I'm sorry that happened and move on but she kept repeating the same sentence and interrupting me. Seems to me that she doesn't have the best communication skills as her employees are not explaining to customers that you can't return things, you can only exchange. I never would have bought the items if I had known because I didn't want to risk them not fitting/etc if I wasn't able to return. read more

I attempted to exchange something at this location today and a very uncouth woman who claimed to be the franchise owner named Shanda snipped at me in a condescending tone upon entry as I was walking toward the counter. "Can I help you hello hello excuse me hello!" I turned around and she was in my face in my personal space and had startled me!! I told her she was rude and she said "no you're the one who's rude!," with a sarcastic grin. I commented that as an employee it was rude to speak to a guest this way. I proceeded to the counter and asked a young sales person if the manager was there. She overheard, and again approached me in a passive aggressive manner claiming to be the owner. I told her she just lost our business over her poor attitude and that she has zero customer service etiquette and needed to smile. I returned the items rather than exchange them! She acted like some crazed high school girl....with comments such as...oh well....whatever....bye bye...and like I care! Would give 0 stars if I could. I will make sure to NEVER shop at one of her stores.Tipsy Elves and Halloweencostumes.com are better options! Looking at some other poor reviews it seems like this is likely the same woman! The selection is good for Halloween. My issue is with the fact that I had a coupon that I got off the Spirit website. The girl would not honor the coupon. Also would not ask anyone above her. The coupon is valid and is for 20% off. I will be calling corporate tomorrow when they open. The store was not busy either. The 2 girls behind the counter were very distracted and chatty. Awful customer service. I bought a $75 costume for my son then went to another store (Party City) and he decided he wanted a different costume. We went back to Spirit less than an hour later to return the first costume and were told we could only exchange it when I distinctly remember the clerk telling me as I left that we had until Halloween to RETURN it. I spoke with the manager and with an attitude she told me she could not return it. When I asked to speak to someone above her she said there was no one I could speak to. I asked for a telephone number for someone to call and she would not give me a number and said she would take my name and number to have someone call me. Still no call. Horrible customer service and bad attitudes!!!!! Go anywhere else. read more

Besides the fact that the quality of Their merchandise has gone down through the years, they are also lacking customer service. The first offense occurred about two weeks ago when I friend of mine and myself decided to go in to look for witch hats for Halloween, we had already gone to a few other shops so we had bags with us. We walked in and started looking around, then one of the workers( he was around our same age) walked up to us and told us that he had to hold all of our bags, our wallets, and our purses. Now that's one thing, but as we looked around we were the only ones who had been asked to remove our bags, there were boys younger than us and kids running around, but for some reason the two 17 & 18 year olds were the only ones asked to have their items withheld. So as we are leaving I go up to the counter to retrieve out personal belongings, there are two workers, 1 is just sitting on the counter staring off into space not saying a single word even though I'm right infront of her, the other is checking some guests out, understandable. After waiting for 5 minutes with no help from the girl we ask the boy for our things back, he doesn't even remember that he took them and acts all confused for a moment. Then another friend went in with her younger sibling, they were actually removed from the store for not having a guardian with them, they used their own car and their own gas and drove over by themselves, and then were turned away. We are old enough to work at the store, but apparently not old enough to spend our own money that we earn from our own jobs on their cheap merchandise. Interesting. read more
