A good choice for getting all your supplements, protein products and a strong selection of…read moreorganic/natural toiletries. This branch of Super Supplements is larger than the one in Federal Way. Each month different brands go on sale, and the savings are usually substantial enough to compete with large on-line retailers. I tend to be able to find slightly harder to find items such as ubiquinol or Crystal Star brand here. Their selection is slightly larger than Marlene's, my other choice for supplements in Tacoma. However - and this is a big however - the quality of employee product knowledge varies wildly. That's one of Marlene's huge benefits over SS. If you don't know what you need/are looking for, the staff at Marlene's is far more educated and they have some good reference books on site. Super Supplements has punch cards. Normally I love punch cards...but the bennies aren't as good as the coupons they replaced. So...even though I'm a punch card ho these don't excite me.

Staying at the hotel across the street I came here to add to my Peanut Butter collection and pick up a couple of Protein bars as they were having a buy one get one 50% sale on the entire store which has a large inventory. The store is well laid out staff were very welcoming. Browsing the store I noticed they had a free sample display of hemp hearts.. you don't see these samples to help yourself in my local store's which was nice and as I like the product on my Greek Yogurt picked one up to take back the hotel along with my 2 Nut Butters and handful of Protein bars. I love Vitamin Shoppe because prices are always great and the selection is better than most competitive stores.

However I did get overcharged for an item I only had one of and when i got home I noticed that he charged me for two of them. I was charged at the top of the receipt and also as the last item. Not sure how that happened. Anyway I did call upon noticing and spoke to that person who said I could come in the next day and he would fix it for me. I live several miles away, not close but I did make it to get him to refund me almost $15 overcharge. He did apologize. However I usually am trusting and don't look at receipts if I had not paid attention I would have been out this $15! Important I guess to double check receipts. Store was in good order, properly stocked, store clerks friendly and check out was quick but not accurate. Parking here is tight. Starbucks next door usually makes this lot busy.

I had read they had kombucha here and since we were in the area and I was craving some, why not?!?…read more So we stop in, walk around a little. A gentleman asked us if we needed any help and we asked him if they did in fact have any kombucha. He showed us the fridge, which had a small selection, but it was there and priced the same as other places I've seen. We left it in the fridge while we explored the rest of the store. There is large section for whey protein stuff, which I don't know much about, but will since I just joined a gym. Lots of supplements and vitamins, a small pet section, which we found some cod liver oil for our pug and picked up a bottle. There was really a ton of things here and I'm pretty much the worst to say what it was or how it's priced. I was mostly happy with the customer service I was getting, though there were three people there, but the lady at the cashier was on the phone explaining something to someone and ringing us up, so she never actually said anything to us while we paid and we both bought something. The guy who talked to use earlier was helpful and wasn't overbearing. There was also some guy handing out samples of some juice supplement or something. We checked the ingredients, but passed on sampling since there were things we didn't eat on the label. I'll be back for other things in the future for sure!
