I'm not Thai, so I can't really say whether it's authentic or not. But from all the Thai restaurants that I have visited in Sacramento, Davis, downtown LA, and SF; spicy Thai in Lancaster is probably one of my favorites. It always hits the spot! I get the duck over rice (with Chinese broccoli) and the yellow curry. All though they serve orange chicken for the customers liking, try to deviate from that. Try something new other than orange chicken. Trust me you'll like it! Prices range from 6-10 dollars (rice/noodle plates) Service is pretty good and fast on most days. You're bound to wait a bit if you bring a big party. But that's what you're supposed to expect. read more

This place has good food but I will NEVER order from here again as of today. Today the guy who delivered my order had the audacity to say this was the last time they will deliver food to my house because I don't tip. Mind you their website says "free delivery with minimum $15 order within 3 miles". I literally live across the street! Tip is always optional unless noted otherwise which it wasn't. Not to mention they can be rude at times and have overcharged by $2 on more than one occasion. Boycott this place!! read more

I feel like this place really deserves a five star. Not a three or a four, like most places actually deserve. This is our favorite restaurant in the AV. My wife just barely said in all seriousness "this is triggering all sorts of dopamine for me right now." The yellow curry is delicious, as well as the Pad Thai (haven't been impressed with a pad Thai in a while), and the green curry. The price point is great and they make amazing leftovers. Hands down the best mango sticky rice i have had in a while!! Perfectly cooked sticky rice with a generous portion of mango. Paired perfectly with the coconut sweet sauce (don't know it's actual name) but it's sooo delicious. Highly recommended!!! read more

So at mid-summer it's a little warm in here and, therefore, we headed to a table closer to the ceiling fan. We came in on a coupon which was 25% off a second lunch or dinner but you had to buy a drink for each person, so overall it wasn't as big a savings. To cover the drink requirement I ordered a Thai Tea with Boba and agree with another reviewer that it seemed sweeter than I was used to. We started with a cup of clear soup that comes with a lunch or dinner special and had a couple pieces of tofu and carrot--okay but no great shakes. The egg roll needed the provided dipping sauce and couldn't stand alone on its own merits. Mr. Picky ordered "2" mild Yellow Curry and I ordered Pad See Ew at spice level "3". It tasted like the spicey heat levels got switched, but thankfully the sweet Thai Tea helped cool our mouths. No checking back with us once the food arrived. We just stopped eating, left everything, and said No Thanks to bringing it home in to-go boxes. Overall, the food lacks a lot of flavor. We just stopped, and decided to go somewhere else for lunch. Unfortunately, there's no heading to Sierra Hwy for lunch because that Thai restaurant is closed on Sunday's. Okay, off for Chinese instead of Thai somewhere else. My wife had a doctor's appointment with lab work and had not eaten for nearly 24 hours. She was starving. We got to Spicy Thai at 2:45, just 15 minutes before afternoon closing. We were afraid we would be turned away, but the staff welcomed us, seated us, and took our order. All nice and friendly. We were surprised at how quickly our order arrived. The food was delicious and plentiful. The staff were on their lunch break by then, but still took the time to serve us and check on us from time to time to see if we needed anything else. In short, we experienced great food and great service at a reasonable price. I recommend Spicy Thai to anyone who is looking for tasty food and fast service, and since it is just a three-minute walk across the parking lot from HDMG, it is an excellent location for anyone who has had to fast for lab work. First time ordering Thai food. This place is amazing! The person that took our phone order was so sweet and she took the time to answer our questions and explain everything. The delivery man was very polite. The food was still hot and you could tell that they had just made it. We ordered the beef satay, shrimp fried rice, garlic black pepper beef, and the garlic, chili mint chicken. Everything was so delicious. The fresh herbs used were amazing and added such a great flavor and component to the dishes. That was the best shrimp fried rice we have ever had. The shrimp flavor was in every bite and there were a lot of shrimp through the dish. I got the level 3 chicken and the heat level was great, not too spicy but still had good heat. This was my first and last time patronizing this business. I ordered orange chicken, beef with broccoli and house rice. The meat was not freshly cooked, dry and flavorless. There were only 2 shrimp in the house rice. Oddly, one had the tail attached and was jumbo and the other had no tail but was medium size if that. I was impressed by the excellent service and quality of food here. Thai Green Curry with chicken is my favorite Thai dish, so that is what I ordered, along with Thai iced tea and a big glass of water. The tea was delicious, and my water glass was never less than half full. The spicyness of my curry was a little greater than expected. Out of a possible 1-5 scale, with 5 being the hottest, I ordered a 3. I like spicy food so long as it accents the flavor. But, like I said, 3 was a little too strong for me, so next time I'll order a 2. The food was delicious and the presentation was nice. The orange slice provided with the check was a nice touch. It cooled the fire. Yesterday, I wanted to place a delivery order, but their menu was nowhere to be found online. Wow this place is so good. I went with my mom and we split the orange chicken, yellow curry, chicken teriyaki and a noodle chicken dish, lau? I think. The orange and yellow curry chicken were amazing, I couldn't get enough. However the lau and teriyaki were very bland and I didn't enjoy the little flavor there was. The servings were large but suitable for one person per entrée if you have a large appetite. The service was really good and our food came out quickly. Unfortunately it is closed on Sunday. I would definitely enjoy going there more after church on Sunday. read more

Went here because we are craving soup and wasn't disappointed. Very authentic and comparable to food we've had in Thailand and while stationed in Guam. Spicy levels and freshness of food was superb and all the food we ordered was well prepared. Restaurant it's self was small and quaint and had enough tables so you weren't sitting on top of each other. Waitresses and servers were very friendly and were helping nearby patrons with their ordering. Will definitely be going back soon very glad we found this hidden gem. read more

I asked for no spice and got a meal that I couldn't even eat because it was so spicy. they didnt offer to remake the food, they said that was how the food is... spicy. I had this same dish in Thailand and in a different thai restaurant and it was not spicy at all, which is why its one of my favorites. they just could have at least offered to make it without the peppers or a different dish, since I asked ahead of time.. Julia loved the chow me in and pad Thai--very fresh and just the right sweetness Case thought the yellow curry was just about as good as his a+ Thai joint back home. This place by far is probably the best Thai I've had in the AV! I have been to 3 other Thai restaurants due to some of the reviews stating that they were the best, but when I had them they fell pretty short of the authenticity of what was claimed of them all. After feeling like I was done looking for a good Thai place to go to out here, my wife found this place! Let me tell you, I will be coming back to try some other dishes. We ordered the Pad Woon Sen, chicken fried rice, and some spring rolls. Everything was really good. I would say that the fried rice could be a bit more flavorful, but compared to the other places I've been to-this is a winner for me. Though I did not dine in, I picked the food up and seen that the place was small but looked to be a a nice place to dine in at some point. The costumer service was great-no complaints. My food was ready in no time and as I stated previously the food was really good! I plan to order another item off the menu the next time we decide we want some delicious Thai! read more

This place is super! My husband and I were staying at the nearby Comfort Inn, and didn't want to go out to find a restaurant. He is a vegan and I am a very picky eater who doesn't like very many vegetables :-) , so sometimes it is hard to find a place that we both like. I did a search for restaurants that deliver near the hotel, and this place came up. They have a very extensive menu, with very reasonable prices. I had Yum Nam Sod, a salad with ground chicken, ginger, cilantro, and my husband had Cashew Nut with dried chili and tofu. He also got the vegetable soup. We both loved what we ordered, and the total was less than $20! Another good point, is that they asked us how hot we would like it, so the dishes are custom made. Lastly, there was no delivery charge! I sure wish there was a restaurant like this where I live in Oregon! read more
