I love the way these ladies do my eyebrows, no matter who it is. Geta did my eyebrows today and she did a fantastic job! The little eyebrow massage in the end is magical! I've been coming to Spice 4 Less for years now and I have NEVER had a bad experience. While I do come often to stock up on my curry spices, teas, turmeric and naan, I frequent this secret space for the brow bar in the back. Although Geta is my technician of choice, part of the reason I come here is that all of the ladies are equally skilled. If Geta is not available, I have no worries with letting one of her sister in-laws service my brows. I have very sensitive skin and I prefer my brows to be shaped with a full body. I never need to guide these women with my brows, or feel on edge about the outcome of what the shaping will look like. The shop has grown with clientele and the family business has become very busy, BUT the prices have never inflated and the service remains just as pleasant as the very first day I came here. I always feel very welcomed and cared for when I walk through the doors. The entire family is very sweet. Geta has even helped me with outfits and accessories for a Sikh wedding I was attending and referred me to the local temple for alterations. Appointment is not necessary, but highly recommended. They can get very busy and without an appointment, you may experience a long wait time. The business is located in a small strip mall and very easy to find. There is plenty of parking out front and when you enter the store, you'll walk straight to the back or ask the cashier you point you into the direction of the threading. I first visited this store looking for a certain spice and found out they do threading for SUPER CHEAP. I am used to going to the mall or a salon nearby and paying $8 or $10 AND having to wait for my turn. This place is only $6 in a private area behind the grocery and they take their time to make your eyebrows looks awesome and then follow it up with a temple massage. I really appreciated the woman's attention to detail and she was so friendly. The store itself is great, there are so many spices, foods and Indian beauty products. About a year and a half ago, I decided I would NEVER get my eyebrows threaded again; in a rush before prom, I went to an eyebrow threading place in the Solano Mall and ended up with horrible, painful scabs. Afterwards, I told my friend that I would never get my eyebrows threaded again. In response, she recommended me to try Spices 4 Less. I was skeptical at first, but I really trusted her and decided to give them a chance. Ever since then, I cringe at the idea of ever getting them done somewhere else. My eyebrows look great now, and I have NEVER had any scabbing from them. Even though I live in Davis now, I always wait until I'm back in Fairfield to get my eyebrows done at Spices 4 Less. I have been coming to spice for less for years, not for the spices but for the threading in the back room! I've been seeing Geta for some time now and have been wanting to grow my eyebrows out since I've always had thinner brows. She recommended putting on almond oil that they carry there and threading every three weeks to let my brows grow out. When I would go in she would simply clean up my brows, put hazelnut toner on them and aloe Vera lotion to calm the skin. After applying the toner and lotion she gives you a quick eyebrow and eye massage as well as rubbing your temples. My last visit I went out as far as 5 weeks, she noticed too and shaped them to make them even. I had made an appointment the day before but didn't show up because with my busy schedule I completely forgot to call to reschedule, the next day I called to see if she had availability, it being a Friday which is her busiest day of the week, I didn't think so. She said she waited for me the day before but no worries she will take me that day. I came in and there was already a line for her awesome threading. I had an appointment so she did took me right when she was done. Less than 15 mins later my brows were done and looked great as ever. I recommend you make an appointment first because they do get busy here. It is not advertised on their store window that they do threading there so walk all the way back in the store and you will find the back room and she will be there. Threading your brows is only $6.!! Not only does she thread, she puts on toner and aloe Vera and massages the area as I said before. It's completely worth it.! 5 stars.! read more

I am reviewing the eyebrow threading not the store. I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for about 2 years. I've gone to the place across from the mall and also in the mall. I came here on the recommendation of my co-worker who also gets her eyebrows threaded. She knows I get my eyebrows threaded and has even seen the results of a botched threading. I am very wary and picky of eyebrow threading places ever since the last place cut my eyebrows and I was left with scabs for a few days. My co-worker recommended a threader named Nina and I'm glad I got her. She was excellent. Her touch was gentle and wasn't as painful as the other places. Her strokes of the thread were small and I could tell she didn't seem rushed. She took her time. Unlike the other places, where they have people waiting so you feel like they do it fast to get you out of there, Nina was not like that. Since this place is a spice store with threading on the side, they weren't super busy with people waiting to be threaded. There was one lady who was getting her eyebrow threaded before me by another threader, but they have 2 chairs in the back so I didn't have to wait at all. I found out later from my co-worker that the second threader is the owner of the spice store. I assume that if you want eyebrow threading you may need to make an appointment. There was a list on the wall of 3 threaders names and phone numbers. Nina isn't the only one there. So if you pop in someone might be there to help with your eyebrow needs. Anyways...after the threading was done, Nina applied a cooling astringent, which reading from the other review, is witch hazel. She also ended with an eyebrow massage that lasted a few minutes and felt so nice. No other place I've been to has done that. And for 6 bucks that wasn't too bad. Overall, this is a hidden treasure. Great place to get threaded. Very gentle and even though it's not painless, it wasn't painful at all. I would go back there again and recommend this place for eyebrow threading. read more

Not only did she do a great job of fixing my eyebrows, she talked to me about the options I had to fix a botch job from another lady who had done them before and showed me what it could potentially look like before she started pulling hairs. They are super nice, and i always feel welcome when i come in. I only wish that they would clean up their inventory every so often. One day I needed garlic, but all of the garlic cloves were sprouted, a sign that they are old. Another time I grabbed a bag of pappadhis (they look like tortilla chips). When I opened the bag they were spoiled. The oil had gone rancid, and they were inedible. By then I didn't feel like driving back to the store.
