STARS OF THE SHOW: 1. Burger Box -- The patties were…read moreperfectly cooked, the bun was fluffy and soft, and if you love tomatoes, I would absolutely recommend adding their fresh tomatoes to your burger! There was just the right ratio of their homemade sauce, which complemented the smokey cheddar very well. 2. Over Dressed Greens -- I truly did not expect this to be one of my favorites of the night! The salad is generously mixed with their homemade white French sauce, and you could really taste the freshness of the vegetables and produce. They pickle their zucchinis, which was such a pleasant surprise because it added a crunchy texture alongside the croutons and the pickled flavor truly elevated the entire salad! 3. Jammy Eggs -- Egg yolks were cooked to perfect consistency and I loved their take on an Asian-fusion style dish with their furikake seasoning, which also gave slight crunchy texture alongside their creamy sauce that gave a hint of spiciness. 4. Szalay's Sweet Corn -- The mix of the cacio e pepe and miso aioli worked really well as the sauce for the sweet corn and gave it a creamy and savory flavor with every bite! All the cocktails we tried were very special and delicious! Their ingredients list includes unique combinations that pleasantly work for the drink. My favorite drink was "Never Too Much" and I don't even like Hennessy like that haha -- it was such a refreshing drink and the peach and lemon flavors truly was perfect for the fall season. As for service, our waitress Tate was incredibly friendly and efficient and gave us complimentary dessert due to a slight water spill during the meal. I can now fully understand the hype of this restaurant and when I come visit again, I will absolutely be back -- no questions asked!

My wife and I recently went to Cordelia for a special occasion and had a great experience. We had…read moreexcellent service from when we were seated on-time for our reservation to when we got the check. Everything came out in a timely and well-paced manner and our server went above and beyond in providing outstanding midwestern niceness and hospitality, explaining dishes to us, engaging in conversation, answering our questions, and working with the kitchen to make some minor accommodations to the dishes. The prices were also reasonable for the portion sizes. The ambiance is an interesting, funky mix of open piping with an open kitchen concept and artwork with a nod to Cleveland. My wife and I split several dishes and were fine to outstanding; however, I am giving Cordelia four stars because several dishes were way too salty, affecting what otherwise would have been amazing dishes. My wife and I shared the following dishes: Party snacks: One of the two star dishes of the night. The bread was crispy and served as a great vehicle for the dips. The carrot muhammara, farmer's cheese, and jammy eggs were particularly good and the three snacks I would get if I were only ordering three snacks. Blooming Eggplant: The other star dish of the night, besides being unique with Michelin-caliber presentation, the fry was perfect, the sauce was good, the coating was crispy, and the eggplant well-cooked. The lemon brought everything together and provided some welcome acid. A little on the salty side but very good. Cavatelli: The cavatelli were perfectly al dente; unfortunately, the sauce was overwhelming salty and took away from the pasta. Tomatoes a la chaoshou: The tomatoes were in-season and extremely fresh. The sauce was good, if slightly salty. Ohio Green Beans: The green beans were perfectly cooked with some firmness, nicely seared, and presented well. The zhug was quite salty and detracted from the green beans, although the crunch of the pistachio was excellent. Kate's Fish: The lake walleye was fresh and the accompanying sauces were good and provided nice flavor to give body to the fish (although a bit salty). The skin needed to be crispier; overall, an OK dish but nothing distinctive. My wife and I got the dirt 'n worms and the corn ice cream with caramel sauce for dessert. The caramel sauce was good; the corn ice cream was bland and the mousse was average. I would recommend Cordelia for your next special occasion.

All the food in our group was excellent. We had the cucumber/tomato salad, a meal called This is Cleveland, pulled pork sandwich, potato salad & leafy greens. The cucumber salad has of course cucumbers as well as tomatoes, onion, chick peas, feta & cilantro in a light vinegar sauce. Refreshing! The " This is Cleveland" is 3 meats (ribs, pulled pork and Kielbasa over a bed of sauerkraut (spicy cabbage) and was fantastic as well. The pulled pork sandwich with potato salad was piled high with juicy pork with some slaw on a bun and it too was delicious! There are a wide selection of beer as well as a selection of bourbon & whiskey that goes from your average to high brow selections. Very cool spot and we will be back the next time we are in Cleveland! Thanks for a great experience!

Oooof, If you've ever had Texas BBQ, or well probably any other BBQ across America, I'd skip this…read moreone. I'm not sure how this place has decent reviews. The BBQ is terrible. If you actually want the best BBQ fly to Dallas and go to Terry Black's or Pecan Lodge. I wanted to try a hodgepodge of a bunch of different meats and items, and sadly all of them were flat out bad. Up first, a $13 Kentucky Old Fashioned. Oof, well it wasn't an Old Fashioned as much as it was a shot of bourbon. Better luck next time. I had never had Pierogi in my life so I wanted to try it. I got the one here for $12.50. Wooof. I won't be ordering that again. I got a side of $7.50 potato salad. At least it was eatable. For the main course, I had the $58 giant beef rib. This is typically my favorite item at any BBQ restaurant. Whoa, the one here was a greasy, fatty, messy waste of money. So disappointing. Sorry, this is the worst BBQ I've ever had, anywhere.

Our…read morearrival coincided with the end of what looked like a significant private event in the dining room, so it was a little weird at first. But once things were sorted out we were seated and ordered some drinks and the kibbie appetizer (which was glorious!) We decided to share a double grill platter to try some different selections and not overeat, this was ideal and we were very happy with our choices. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. Clearly this place deserves the reviews.

There were several staff members moving in and out of the waiting area, but only one asked me about my order and reassured me that it would be coming out shortly twice, though I still ended up waiting 20+ minutes after these reassurances. To be fair, this restaurant is within walking distance of the convention center, and several conference attendees grabbed lunch here that day, but I was hoping that ordering ahead could mitigate some of the wait time. Some fellow conference attendees also noted the extremely long wait time for their sit-down meals: several of them had to immediately take their food to go once it arrived to make it back to the convention center, despite the two-hour lunch break we had. As for the food, the mujadara was pretty yummy! I enjoyed the fried onions on top, though they were pretty limp and soggy by the time I could eat it. The lentils were a bit on the hard side, and the side of pickled turnips I ordered was pretty small but added to the meal. I did really enjoy the pillowy pita that was included, and the sumac olive oil dip was pretty good as well.
