When I tried to go to the company website, I got an Asian gambling site. I tried inputting the address in many ways, but it always bounced to the Thai King88Bet site. I think I'm reviewing the right place, based on the map, but correct me if I'm wrong! This is usually the first place we see when we enter the market, and my husband cannot pass up their $2 apple fritters. Even when I go without him, I have to bring one back. These apple fritters are probably the single food item I most associate with trips to the market. I would have given them 5 stars until I discoverd this weekend that you can get equally delicious apple fritters at Presti's in Little Italy for only $1. They're still totally worth it for $2 though.

I really like Greek food. But finding great Greek food in the Cleveland area is difficult…read more Thank goodness for "Astoria". Not only do they have a great market and deli, with wonderful options and excellent selection. But the restaurant, which is placed right in the heart of it all, is pretty wonderful as well The service we received last night, from the hostess to our server Mario, was right on point. They were pleasant, friendly, and efficient. The menu has lots of options to satisfy everyone's appetite. I personally love the vast selection of boards. The meats, cheeses, olives, nuts, berries, etc , etc., are high quality and good sized servings. And they always come with an excellent wine pairing. I thoroughly enjoyed the "Cheesed to Meat You" board paired with an excellent Amarone. Followed by a wonderful "Pot de Creme" and coffee. My wife enjoyed the "Greek Wellington" and brought some home for lunch today. The food is great. The service is great. The experience is great. So go and enjoy.

It is without a doubt that this restaurant is very well done, with a clean/refined/comfortable atmosphere. Catering to all points of the day, it can accommodate ladies brunch to an anniversary dinner without having to change a thing. The service is also INCREDIBLE. The kindest people you could want taking care of you, they do not hover and yet know exactly when to pop in to make sure food and drink are flowing. And let's talk about this food and drink. Now I completely believe some things may be down to preference and tastes (the menu does have some twists as the complexity of each dish is admirable) but I can highly recommend whatever you land on as they do craft exceptional seasonal dishes.

Found my new produce stand at the WSM--done and done…read more I'm a CSA gal, Fresh Fork to be exact, but sometimes you just need some extra ingredients and that's where Rooted In Cleveland comes in. Here there is no question where your produce is coming from--most likely it's from across the street at Ohio City Farm! Yep: the farm that helps refugees find work and teaches them to farm to make money (Refugee Responce)... the farm space that helps people in need find fresh produce while also supplying local restaurants in Ohio City with tons of homegrown goodies. That farm! The stand has pretty much all seasonal items, but when I stopped by last week they had everything I was looking for. Herbs, root veggies, tomatoes, greens--yum! I'm not sure what the stand will look like in the winter months, but I'm sure they'll have something out there that's delicious. Their FB page says it best, "We're a seasonally and sustainably-oriented produce stand at the West Side Market providing local and organically-minded specialty produce." Prices were way cheaper than Dave's Supermarket and pretty on point with the rest of the stands. But what really stands out? No yelling or selling! That's right--no one at the stand will try to sell you or trick you into buying overly ripened produce they don't let you see first before they throw in a bag. In general, just picture this: You're fighting your way through the produce wing at WSM on a Saturday afternoon, then you turn the corner to suddenly find a peaceful place where you can take a breath of fresh air and buy bad ass local produce. Yes, that was a bit of a run-on, but you get the point. Hint: It's near the Ohio City Blooms stand.

It felt so good to be in a German grocery store and brought me a sense of joy I can't explain. You could get lost in here wandering for a long time and the atmosphere is so welcoming. First off, I feel r-i-d-i-c-u-l-o-u-s for not knowing this was here. Latched on to the Hansa Brewery, the Hansa Import Haus is a sprawling specialty grocery store of German and Austrian goods. Legit, I only knew it was here because I walked by and saw their new window display (which I am so glad they did!). You can get anything here. Meats, cheeses, noodles, sauces, chocolate, cookies... heck, you can even get boxed mixes. I had such unbelievable fun walking the aisles. Literally. Anything you can think of within reason. Amazing beer and wine selection. They even have little German coloring books, and this week, they had a wall of Easter candies that legit reminded me of what I would shop for in a Dresden store. The staff was super helpful and encouraged me to come back soon-- I definitely will. The staff will help you find things, especially when you realize how bad your German has become and don't know whether to cry tears of joy or sadness. Who knew a grocery store could be so cathartic?! Granted, this place isn't very large so it can't have everything but it still seemed like 50% of the stuff there was just American stuff. Oh well! They have a nice selection of Gallucci branded goods like pasta sauces and even cater to restaurants prepared foods like meatballs and eggplant cutlets. The spice section is nicely priced too. During my first visit to Gallucci, I bought some dried cilantro ($1.44) and minced garlic ($4) as well as a small orange flavored almond nougat candy that I impulsively bought for about 0.50 and then immediately regretted not buying more! The minced garlic unfortunately got all in between my teeth when I used it on a dish the next day. Sadly, I was looking for more of a snack collection than they had here. Or even some frozen desserts like gelato or panetone or those delightfully sinful Mulino Bianco Galleti cookies I dream of eating again. Most of what is here is good for making homemade pizzas and sandwiches. That's pretty cool although it was interesting that they closed up the deli counters way before their 6pm closing time when I stopped by a couple of days ago. A muffaletta sandwich sounded good at the moment haha! If I am ever in the area again, I would like to try something from the deli counter and pick up a sauce or two!
