They also serve up a few sides with a Western spin such as "indian nachos" and "masala fries". Don't miss out on their occasional specials that they post on their social media pages too! Ordering During COVID, they have a very straightforward, easy ordering system on their website. Your online receipt will let you know what time the food will be ready. For me, it took about 15-20 minutes and they were just wrapping up my order upon arrival. The small staff interaction that I had was very pleasant. Delivery is being offered as well through various apps/services. Food I went with their popular chicken tikka kathi roll ($7) which is a perfect size if you're not feeling hungry enough to eat an entire meal. Don't be fooled though. This thing consisted of about 80% chicken and packed a HUGE flavor. The heavily spiced chicken held a deep flavor and was balanced nicely with the green chutney. The wrap/roti was super thin, but substantial enough so that there was no leakage. It was nicely toasted and charred which I very much appreciate. If you're one of those people who likes a lot of vegetables in your wraps, this might not be for you. I liked the chaat the best of those three items, and really enjoy how they've separated out the ingredients for to-go purposes. It comes with a small card with directions on how to make the chaat, which is a fun bonus. But I wasn't a fan of the lamb kathi which was what I was mainly interested in trying. But I reread the description which calls it "ground lamb patties", so yes it is exactly that. Not my style. Mango lassi was fine. I'd go back for snacks but probably skip the rolls. I got the Chicken Tikka Roll ($7) and Chai Tea ($3). Both items were good -- smaller than I thought (and they didn't accept the Yelp check-in that still pops up because of a Yelp glitch). But, sizes and glitch aside, the roll was tasty and used good cuts of meat: 5-stars on flavor with a spicy kick for the roll, and once I got my sugar in, the tea was a good solid 4-stars -- spiced better and smoother than most places (but could be 2-3x as strong; I like things spicy!). Needs a better to-go cup though; mine was leaking through the lid and burning me (and losing valuable tea!). Bring your own to-go cup. Bottom line: They make tasty food, and yet it's hard not to compare pricing to a place like Chipotle that'll give you a burrito the size of your forearm for the same amount of money. But, the proper comparison is probably a place more like Paseo's that serves up a $14 sandwich from behind a takeout counter. Split it in half and you'd leave hungry there, too. read more

Updating my review after a year, still sooo good. Consistency when something is good is hard to maintain, especially with the kind of year 2020 has been. That being said, still the best Indian roll/wrap in the state for sure (probably the US really) Do yourself a favor and try their lamb and chicken rolls (with egg always, egg always makes everything better), the 36hour marination pays off and the meat is packed with flavor. They also don't skimp on the amount of meat that goes into the wrap, you'll be left feeling satisfied and because it's not greasy you won't feel bad after eating these! And of course if you have the paneer burji and aloo rolls as well if you aren't feeling like having the meat. And then if you're into fries, these aren't boring fries for sure, you'll get some flavors (yeah it is spices but spices doesn't mean spicy or hot, it's flavor). I have a strong feeling that I could rate the fries from Spice Waala as a top 5 all-time in my personal Foododex. They are loaded with all the right types of seasonings that make you want to never stop eating them. I can't say for sure what type of green sauce comes with them, but this chimichurri-like creation was great on the fries, as well as the lamb kabob. I'm pretty sure I could have thrown down 4 of the kabobs, because they were some of the most fantastic meat tubes I've ever tasted. This joint keeps it simple, with not much on the menu, but each item is explodes with flavor like Shawn Kemp used to explode to the rim. I don't want to have too many options in a street-food style establishment such as this. Just let me know what your speciality is, and I'll roll with it. I left this place very pleased about what they have to offer, and it will without a doubt be in my rotation as someone who is new to the area. We had a strong recommendation from a friend, so gave it a try ... the results were disappointing. The masala aloo was tasty - reasonable fries with an Indian mint / cilantro chutney - which was a nice variant on traditional fries. We tried two kathi rolls - the paneer masala roll + egg (Calcutta style) and the lamb kebab roll. Both were a little spicy (good), but the actual content was bland - the paneer was not particularly appealing, the ground lamb was not browned for flavor but merely cooked - with no obvious lamb flavor. And the portion size on both Kathi Rolls was tiny - nowhere near enough to make a dinner out of. We were glad we got the masala aloo to bulk up the meal, and then we still went for ice-cream afterwards. Be aware of just how limited the menu is - the options are few. This applies in other areas as well: there is seating for only a few patrons (not all of those at tables) the drinks were either Indian beers, lassi or chai ... perhaps authentic, but ... In short, as a food truck (which requires a limited menu), this may have been great ... as a restaurant, it's really an indoor food truck ... and doesn't have the variety, atmosphere or portions for a restaurant. We were glad to try it, but I doubt we'll go back. read more

What I got: The Aloo Roll & The Chicken Tikka Roll. I started with the Aloo. Took one bite & stopped breathing & almost shed a tear. It was a religious experience. The chutney, onion, & potato seasoned to perfection...oh...& the roti. I challenge you to find a place serving better in this town. Seriously the atrocities I've seen & eaten elsewhere...I digress. I thought...oh I'll eat half of the aloo & half of the chicken then save for later. The flavor of that chicken tikka is out of this world layer on the spice , chutney, onion, & roti...forget about it!. Amazing addition to the Seattle food scene! So happy to see authentic and delicious Indian food not too far away. The owners are the sweetest, and make this a warm and inviting space to walk into. Just an FYI, there is only a handful of tables in the space, and otherwise a lot of standing space. For food, I got: Aloo Kati Roll: this is one of my favorites! Aloo just means potato. The potatoes are well seasoned, spiced, and cooked. The wrap in comes in is not too bready, and is jam packed with potatoes! They definitely don't skimp. Lamb Kati Roll: this kati roll is so flavorful and has tender meat. I would say it is heaver than the potato one above, but just as delicious! Bhel: this consists of puffed rice, sev (crunchy snack made with chickpea flour), onions, cilantro, and chutney. It is spicy, but so so good!! This bhel has the perfect textures, without being soggy at all. I could eat multiple bowls of this! Aloo Tikki: Amazing! a potato patty with chutney, onion and cilantro. Spicy, and filling Indian Masala Chai: too watered down for my taste, but my mother in law enjoyed it! Overall, fabulous first visit to Spicewalla!
