Lamb kati roll, masala fries, Aloo Tikki Chaat
Louise F.

Came here while helping some friends move - and even with all the manual labor, 1 roll was enough to fill me up (and some masala fries, and an aloo tikka chaat). When i took a bite of the masala fries, i thought to myself "ohhh, this is what masala fries are supposed to taste like." Because I've had masala fries, but none nearly as good as this. The lamb kati roll I had was also realllly good. Super drippy and really difficult to keep clean, but really really good.

A good bite! Prices are so reasonable. Mango lassi is good and only $4! I would come back. Fast service and casual setting.

Spice Waala offers tasty and affordable Indian street food. I also love their mission of supporting the community! I got the chicken tikka roll and aloo tikka chaat -- both were incredibly flavorful, especially the aloo tikka chaat with the potato underneath all the fixings *chefs kiss* Ambiance is pretty casual and it is nice place to just eat and catch up with friends. Service is quick even if it's busy and the workers are helpful if you have any questions. Only downside is there is limited seating and parking in the area if you come during a busy time.

Ordered delivery. It's way too heavy for my personal liking. The filling was a good portion of protein. I did like the wrap

I went here for a fairly casual lunch as food comes fast and is very affordable. A kathi roll is $8-8.50, and the snacks are $5.50 each and are fairly sizable. The recommendation is to order 2 rolls or 1 roll and 1 snack for a hungry adult, but I ignored the recommendation and ordered 2 rolls (chicken with egg, and lamb) + 1 snack (aloo tikki chaat) and a mango lassi, all for myself. I was really stuffed at the end, but that was also because this is my only meal I would eat today based on my personal logistics. The chicken tikka kathi roll is really nicely grilled, fairly tender, and the egg soaks up a lot of the chicken tikka flavor so I recommend adding an egg to just one of the rolls. The $1.50 surcharge is okay, but trying it for one roll is more than sufficient. The lamb kebab tikka roll is also good, with a good amount of green chutney that brings forth a slightly sweet flavor. The aloo tikki chaat has a potato patty with yogurt, tamarind, and some crisps, which is a great starter but I enjoyed eating it throughout the meal. It helps cool down with the spice, although the food is not too spicy. The mango lassi is on the thicker side, but can't really complain for $4. It also helps cool down with the spice, and a meal is not really complete without. Overall, I really enjoyed this place and its relatively fast casual format. If I want an affordable and quick meal, I would come back again.

Spice Waala is one of my favorite places to come in Seattle! Prices are affordable, service is quick and friendly, food is always good! The Cap Hill location is nice and has some indoor seating. It's pretty casual and is great for takeout. Food + aloo tikka chaat - fried potato patty is amazing! + chicken tikka roll - very tasty! + masala chai - way better than Starbucks! + mango lassi - creamy and refreshing I've also had their soft serve and that's pretty good as well! Overall a huge fan of Spice Waala!

Great price and quick service! We came in a Friday around 5. The space to dine in is on the smaller side. It's good for 2 people ideally, but can sit 4 people at one of the tables. For one of the rolls and a mango lasso it was 13.79. The rolls are smaller than a burrito, but pretty filling. I tried both the lamb and the chicken tikka. The flavor was good on the lamb, but I liked the bite of the chicken better than the minced lamb. Both were good though. While the taste was there, I wish there was a bit more freshness to the roll, maybe more sauce or more onions? It was a roll of mostly meat, which to most is probably a good thing. Mango lassi was great and thick, would recommend trying! Overall a place to stop by for good food, just wish there was more freshness to cut through the meat/richness. Looking forward to trying their other menu items! The fries looked amazing

Wow. I will be coming back here over and over again. They are the perfect definition of girl dinner, where you can get a bunch of small bite-size items that are affordable, flavorful, shareable, and not too heavy. They also have a rotating seasonal soft serve, and I just had the lychee flavor which Was so good. I think about it all the time. I can't wait to come back here again.

We came on a weekday right when the place opened. Service was quick and food was pretty good. There's bench and table seating inside available but can get full as the place gets busy. It was pretty quiet overall, music playing was chill too. The masala crispy fries were delicious! We asked them not to put the masala on it, but asked for it on the side. If you've had chaat masala, their masala tastes very similar to that. Not bad but we enjoyed the plain crispy fries with the side chutney. The chicken tikka roll was good. Not the best I've had, but overall spices and quantity was good. Prices are pretty decent here for the value!

We were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was! I wouldn't consider it super authentic, but overall the food is very good. The service is also very friendly, we had a lot of random questions for the cashier and he was happy to answer them all.

I finally had the chance to try Spice Waala in Cap Hill! They sell Indian street food for reasonable prices and they have rotating ice cream flavors. My friends and I came for the soft serve, they had a Chai flavor when we went. I thought the ice cream was alright (didn't taste too much like chai to me) but I'm glad they have creative flavors. I got two items to go for dinner - the Aloo Tikki Chaat and the Paneer Kathi Roll. Huge fan of the Chaat, I would 100% get it again. The packaging is creative and comes with detailed instructions so you can put it together in the right order. The roll was alright, nothing really special! I thought the two items were filling but I definitely have to come back and try their other items :)

Bansari S.

It is a super small store front but cool to be able to watch some of the food being made while you wait. Food was alright not the best chaat or items tbh. And a bit overpriced for the amount. In would get it if you wanted to try but there are better Indian restaurants in walking distance

Chicken tikka roll, lamb kebab roll, masala aloo (fries), papdi chaat ("Indian nachos")
Chi D.

Came here on a weekday for take out lunch and everything was solid and prices were reasonable. I loved the lamb kebab roll and would get it again in a heartbeat. The fries (masala aloo) were a little soggy, but much improved by some time in the air fryer. The masala chai was not my favorite, and I say this as someone who regularly makes my own masala chai at home. It just wasn't that spicy. I like a strong ginger kick though and a good amount of cardamom, so if you like a more timid chai, maybe this is for you. Interestingly all of the staff were white. Bathrooms are down a hall, but clean.

The food is ok but small. Hard to order a meal as the rolls are tiny and there's not really sides. Better spot for a snack than a meal

For reasons unknown, Block 1 is the most packed, side-by-side, with food tracks. Coincidentally, I also think this block easily had the best food. Based on the crowded foot traffic, others agreed. The organizers need to spread things out better considering there are space in the other blocks. For the food, we chose: 12 Spice or Indonesian Rendang The mushroom topping over turmeric rice was AMAZING!! For such a seemingly simple dish, the flavor is absolutely incredible. Highly recommend. Cost is $8 Alaska Weathervane Scallops We chose two options - mushroom sauce over rice pilaf and over coleslaw, their salad. They also have a taco option. Rice pilaf is the better option by far. Their coleslaw is not remotely refined enough. The scallops are amazing, though! The entrées at $14 are very reasonable. Taco Bahia We had the Nellie - Grilled Salmon tacos at $14. You can request grilled instead of fried. Definitely a better, healthier option. Took pictures but didn't buy Character Cotton Candy - a bunny! Many people paid $8 for the Instagram photo. There were at least 3 guys working in the truck and they seem to work like clockwork! Food came out hot and did not disappoint... We ordered a shrimp po boy, slaw, cheesy grits & KING CAKE! Everything was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The po boy was perfect to share, amongst all the other food we ordered. Can't remember the last time where I've had slaw done right, but WYAM coleslaw was perfect. The grits were so cheesy and the seasoning was on point. Then we had our first King Cake... every bite was gooey and rich. We even went back for a second slice... they said if you find the baby, you'll get free beignets next time! We got home, dug into the next slice and found the baby! Prior to finding the baby, we had already looked up their truck schedule to do it all again. I can't claim to know what authentic soul food should taste like, but trying WYAM makes us want to travel to New Orleans and experience more - when food can make you want to transport yourself to a new experience, I think they're doing something right!

No enjoy the food or thank you for ordering, and not even a ghost of a smile. We got a small shrimp and grits, oyster po boy, and large jambalaya. The oyster po boy was the star of the order as it was delicious and one of the better po boys my boyfriend and I had, but it was also our first time trying an oyster po boy. The shrimp and grits were nothing to really write about and the jambalaya was just meh. Not sure if we came at a bad day but it's super unfortunate as I was really looking forward to this food truck for the longest time but it was the most disappointing Washington food truck that I have had visited.

No seating or restrooms available here as it's outside. They were also out of vegan hot dogs, which didn't sit too well with one of my friends. For the Seattle Dog, it's a regular hot dog with caramelized vegetables in a somewhat lightly crispy bun and topped with some cream cheese. Hot dog was so good, vegetables added an extra savory tone that complimented the hot dog, and bun was so tasty I could have asked for another Seattle Dog, though each totals up to $10 before tax, which sounds pretty pricey for a hot dog. Regardless I would still come back here during conventions if I don't want to have anything inside the convention center itself.
