The spring rolls are great. I always get the tofu. The green curry and panang curry is great too. Had the noodles but they were sooo spicy. I've been coming to Spice for several years and love their food and realize they can be quite busy especially dinner time on weekends. However, this particular Sunday at 1245pm the staff of two servers seemed overwhelmed by 5 tables with a pending party of 6 and myself a party of 2. The male server was shaking his head at the fact that they needed to seat a party of 6 and dismissed the fact you still have patrons waiting for open tables. So I spoke with a female staff at bar and explained can a party of 2 be seated since my elderly mother is unable to tolerate standing for extended periods. Unfortunately the exchange with the staff was less to be desired and it was apparent that she felt rudeness was more important than accommodation of paying patrons!!! read more

Every dish I've had here is amazing. The service is spotty but that's not why we keep going back. Their sister restaurant, Thai Select is great too but the atmosphere is much better at Spice and they have my favorite curry, Crispy Kao Soi. Highly recommend! read more

Fantastic location in the ever-growing Southside district, reasonable lunch prices for classic Thai cuisine, and a modern but homey atmosphere - I'd say that Spice is going to do extremely well. I had a late lunch meeting on Monday and had been wanting to try this place out, and was happy to find the dining area cute, cool, and quiet. We enjoyed the music; slow, dreamy versions of pop radio hits. Who knew Lady Gaga's Poker Face could be so soothing? The floors are slick concrete and the walls look freshly painted; one is a bold blue. It's a super bright room, that's for sure. We each ordered curry (me the red and my intern the Panang), which comes with a choice of chicken, beef, pork, or tofu (shrimp or calamari for an extra buck); white or brown rice; spring roll or egg roll; and a salad with your choice of dressing. I opted for the peanut dressing, but the lemon sounded lovely! I didn't end up trying the spring roll, but my curry was pretty stellar. All the typical ingredients, of course... Bamboo shoots, peppers, coconut milk, etc. I got mine with tofu and it had the perfect consistency. The presentation was also really lovely, which I appreciate. I didn't order any extra spice, and I'm thankful. It definitely had plenty of heat on it's own! I'm giving Spice 4 stars because I think they're perfect for Magnolia avenue and because they have great chefs and beautiful food. But I will say that the customer service during my visit wasn't exactly great. I felt a bit like a burden to the staff, and I wasn't being one, of course. Just an observation! Very good. Nice location and vibe. Food was appropriately prepared and presented. Taste was very good. I had the tofu pad Thai, vegetable spring roll, and salad with peanut dressing. The spring roll was amazing. It was not the fried tasteless roll that I am used to getting at Thai places, it was wrapped in a steamed wrapper with fresh raw vegetables inside! +1 Spice! I wasn't overly impressed with the peanut dressing, it was a bit sweet for me but certainly wasn't a deal breaker. I still enjoyed the salad but I may try it on the side next time and just drizzle it on. This place was packed and I can see why. Great value, service and food. Highlights were the larb - perfectly seasoned with lots of herbs, and the green curry with chicken - creamy, spiced beautifully, tender chicken. So I ventured here for a first date type of thing and I found it to be the perfect spot to do so. It was a quaint little spot with modest decor and polite servers. I was saving room for my dinner at a friend's later so I opted for the Tom Yung soup. I am in love with this soup by the way and their version does not disappoint. Stopped by to have lunch on a Saturday for the first time. Spice is a nice place, very relaxing atmosphere. It sorta has a coffee shop feel to it which is cool. I walked in from there first door I saw, which ended being the exit. I stood there for awhile not sure if it was a, "seat yourself" type of place. After standing there for about 5 minutes, I decided to just seat myself. Once I sat myself, I was approached with a menu. They have a pretty big menu, so there are a lot of options. I started off with the fried calamari with plum sauce. It was really lightly fried which was delicious. I also ordered the bangkok spiced noodle with green curry and calamari. With a heat level of four. It was spicy & very flavorful which I like. It was also a lot of food, I was not able to finish it all. This spot was very close to my parents house and went there for lunch. we sat outside due to the pandemic. There was a lot of outdoor seating and space between tables. At the time we went there was not much people outside. We were able to pick any table available and looked thru the virtual menu. the appetizer and food was delicious and the price was very affordable. Delicious Thai food. Large menu. We keep trying other places when we're out of town, and they all disappoint in comparison with Spice. The best pad Thai I've ever eaten. 10/10 for COVID-19 protocols and quality of food during this time. Had instructions on the door for no more than 3 customers inside at a time. Waiting stations were inside with hand sanitizers and instructions on how to pick up your food and pay. 20% off for healthcare providers (I believe the sign said doctors and nurses) if you come in uniform and show your badge. This is my favorite restaurant in Fort Worth. I typically get takeout, but all of my dining experiences have been good. Don't expect some teenage server to wait on you hand and foot and laugh at all of your dumb jokes, and you'll enjoy the experience. They're conveniently located next to a great cocktail bar, Proper, and a short walk from a few other places to round out a date night. Great prices for the portions they serve. I've tried all of the curries and quite a few of the main dishes. Massaman Curry and Pra Ram Long Song are my favorites. Their lunch specials are awesome for 10 bucks. read more

THE BEST PEANUT SAUCE IN FORT WORTH !!!! The peanut sauce is the best I've ever had, seriously. You could put that stuff on sub-par Thai food and make it good. I was taken here by some coworkers a few days ago. The decor is simple a nice. The place was clean and warm. The service was great. The waitress was very sweet and quick. We told her that we were on a time crunch so she was very attentive to our table. I ordered the chicken Lo mein off the lunch menu. It was amazing! It came with a fresh little salad and an egg roll. Went there for a night out with family. The restaurant is clean and service was attentive. The presentation of the food was lovely and the food came out quickly. The food was tasty. I liked that they ask you what level of spice you want. Everything was great...my only suggestion would be to "warm up" the restaurant and make it nicer, more cozy. Menus were pretty worn.
