I'm scrolling through my phone reading an article and a gentleman with a cowboy hat serving me brings me a phone holder so I don't have to keep looking down. He also comes back to confirm he got my order correct. Then he brings me a delicious bowl of their broth for me to try, after I already had my shrimp spring rolls and my chicken Banh mi. I love finding "the best ever" food item. BobaCane has a couple for me. Their shrimp spring rolls are huge and packed with deliciousness as well as a peanut sauce that goes perfect with them. Their Bahn Mi is the best I've ever had and Ive had a lot. Perfectly built, toasted and a sauce that sets off all the flavours. Great pho! Great Bahn mi! These people know their food and donut right! Huge plate of sprouts and basil! Best calamari I've ever had (when they have it) in the USA! It's fresh, clean, and the chicken is incredible. The chicken spring rolls, chicken fried rice, stir fry noodles, and Pho are also very good (and huge). They also have a wide variety of the Boba drinks. I really enjoy the Brown Sugar Milk Tea. If this place were a tad bit closer to me I'd be here every day. I'm wavering between 3 and 4 stars. On the one hand, the chicken wings were large and tasty, even though our server did not know what the "signature" flavor is. FYI, it's a dry rub. Thuy had the Vermicelli Noodle Bowl, with pork. She gave it an "OK" and that the nuoc cham (dipping sauce made with fish sauce, nuoc man) was not quite to her liking. It had no acidity, lime/vinegar was missing. I ordered the beef pho, with meatballs and beef. When it was delivered, our server said they are out of meatballs, so I got extra beef. Pho was OK, a very light on the expected flavors (cinnamon, star anise, clove, ginger, etc.). Made us wonder if they might be using a pho soup base (cot pho)? It's a cute place inside, with a mural depicting a Vietnamese street food scene. Oh, and as the name implies, they have a large menu of boba options. The to go business for boba was quite brisk. What a gem! My sister brought me here for lunch with our kiddos. The inside is very bright and welcoming. We were told to sit where we wanted. Each table has napkins, chopsticks, spoons, packaged silverware, soy sauce, chile oil, hoisin sauce, and sriracha. Everything you need is easily accessible. Our waitress was very helpful and attentive. She kept our waters full and brought our appetizers out pretty quickly. We ordered a spring roll, order of 3 egg rolls, and the truffle fries. Everything was flavorful and delicious. As our main dishes we ordered beef pho & chicken pho. I personally had the beef pho. The broth is one of the best I have had. So many layers of flavors, plenty of meat and noodles. All the veggies were fresh. What a great meal!! I always love supporting what appears to be a family owned and operated restaurant. Place is nice and clean and the atmosphere is comfortable and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Those looking for a more traditional pho experience won't be disappointed but they will feel the pho offering is good, but conservative; like to appeal to their average clientele. The broth is not as bold with flavors I am used to with more traditional pho (again probably due to the target market) and the proteins are definitely limited. For example, no tendon which is my all-time pho-avorite. Haven't tried everything they have to offer yet but based just on the pho, I say 4/5. Everything else is 5/5 for me. We also started with the truffle fries and shrimp spring rolls. Pork vermicelli bowl and beef pho were both outstanding! Beef pho is some of the best I've had in DFW. The bowls for both were HUGE. The spring rolls were a great starter and definitely recommended. Skip the fries - they aren't horrible but they give off a thicker cut frozen bag vibe rather than a restaurant specialty. I would totally recommend BobaCane! I'm visiting my mom from Seattle and was looking for any Asian restaurant in the area. I came across BobaCane. The menu looked promising. The restaurant was bright and clean with plenty of seating. There are two TVs showing the making of the foods they serve. The staff were really nice and welcoming. I haven't had Vietnamese food in a while and we may have ordered a bit much: eggs rolls, grilled chicken veggie bowl, chicken pho, taro milk tea, and a to go order of bahn mi. The egg rolls came out hot and crispy. The noodle salad bowl was bright and flavorful. My mom enjoyed her huge bowl of chicken pho. I had asked if they could half my sugar in the taro milk tea. Turns out it wasn't overly sweet like some of the Seattle bubble tea places. We shared the bahn mi sandwich for dinner later. We'll be back to try other items on their menu. read more
