Drunken noodles
Roger A.

I used to live a few blocks away from this place and ate here once a week. It is such great food. I love the drunken noodles with chicken. Spice lever 3. Great flavor, the spice lever 3 gives that good heat that gets your senses going. Great service. I never see a bad dish coming out of the kitchen.

Shrimp Thai Thai Fried Rice

The customer service was great and the food was solid overall. The curry was absolutely amazing -- perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. The Thai fried rice was also delicious! The location is beautiful with a really nice patio area (I didn't get to experience it this time, but it looked like the perfect vibe). I'll definitely be back -- the atmosphere and service made it worth the visit. Parking is available in the back of the property.

I'm not sure why I thought this was something other than Thai food for the past year and now I have some time to make up! Their Pad Thai was incredible - from the perfectly prepared tofu to being customizable with extra bean sprouts and no green onions. The lovely service staff was welcoming and helpful! And we loved the quiet atmosphere on this quieter section of Magnolia.

Pad Key Mao (Drunken Noodles) * and Egg Roll

I've had the opportunity to try Spice twice, first was a to-go order and the second was dine-in. The restaurant was relatively busy for an early Friday evening. They have an attached free parking lot, which was super convenient. The staff were friendly and attentive and our food came out quickly. As for food, I've tried their drunken noodles, their tom kha kai soup and an egg roll. Honestly, the drunken noodles left much to be desired. The egg roll is ok, but also could be better. As for the soup, it was so good! I only ordered a bowl, but I would definitely go back and order a hot pot in the coming winter months. Overall, I would give this place another chance be day.

Just like most Thai places- dry noodles and unflavored dry meat

Just like most Thai places- lots of noodles that are dry. Meat was dry and not very flavorful

Teriyaki Chicken-good but the sauce was heavy and sweet. Too sweet for me but I can see someone else liking it more.

Had a great experience. Plan to go back. Reasonably priced. And they sale the peanut sauce if you want to take a bunch home. My husband said it was the best peanut sauce he had ever had.

This is a solid spot for Thai food on Magnolia, especially if you're looking for takeout. While the dining experience may be more casual, it's a convenient and reliable option for those in the area craving Thai cuisine. I ordered the tofu Pad Thai and a Thai iced tea to go--both were flavorful and satisfying. If you're nearby and in the mood for Thai, this place is definitely worth considering.

This was my first time and it was very very tasty. I had the Pad Thai with wonton soup and my buddy had the Thai fried rice. The service was great, the space was cozy. Not a lot of seating but it wasn't a problem as the food comes out relatively quick. Our water glasses never went empty and the amount of times the waiters checked in was great (not too often not too little) and our requests were met very quickly. The price point was perfect for the quantity you get! We were stuffed! Great location tied with great service and good makes this my new go to spot for Thai food!

Lunch Menu - March 2023

We enjoyed it. We've been here many times and it's always real good. Today, service and speed was very good and the food was a 4 of 5 and that's only because I'm picky I guess. I had the Drunken Noodle with Beef. The size and look were great. The clear sauce on it is sort of greasy. I would have preferred a brown sauce that some places use. I added some soy sauce and that made a big difference in flavor. My wife ordered the Pad Thai with Tofu. Here again, she'd rate the food taste a 4 of 5. Good but not amazing. Besides the cleanliness, friendliness and speed of this place which is always amazing, another thing that's amazing is the Salad with Lemon dressing and the Spring Roll with Peanut sauce. Spice is very convenient lunch stop for us when my wife needs to visit the medical facility across the street. So we'll be back to Spice in the future and will continue to eat around the menu. Speaking of menu, they've updated their menu for 2024 and I've posted pictures of it here on their Yelp page.

Kadience was our server for our "business dinner" last Tuesday. I love this place and discovered it when I lived locally a few years back. It's a quaint little restaurant that's bright and airy for lunch and more cozy for dinner. My go-to dishes are fresh Spring Rolls and the Yellow Curry with brown rice (4 star heat level). Got it with mixed proteins. Amazing. One of my colleagues got the Massaman, another the Drunken Noodles on my recommendation. Our server took superb care of us and others pitched in making our experience first rate. BTW, they have a full bar with many creative cocktails and an array of Asian beers (SingHa, Sapporo, Kirin). I could go here every day for two weeks and never run out of yummy choices.

Red Curry

My Red Curry was spicy and delicious. That peanut butter sauce was fantastic on the salad. Service was always fast and always available. Business to casual attire and ambiance. Chill place.

Don't regret stopping at this place. It was amazing. I ordered the basil rice and it was delicious a little spicy, but it was really good.

Is Spice BYOB? When I first googled it it said it was but I don't get any confirmation of that on their website

No. They serve alcohol, unlike their sister restaurant Thailicious (which is BYOB).

Should've done a side-by-side, but it was only me. Lol. The fish was exquisite. The heat was also good. This dish pairs really well with rice; I also enjoy taking the leftovers home, letting them sit overnight in the fridge, and enjoying with more rice. Mmm! But I am from out of town and was alone, so I ate it all there. They don't have WiFi, but there was some "guest Frontier" WiFi that was good for an hour. (And you can refresh it each hour.) Next time, I would try the "Szechuan Boiled Fish." Or if that's too much, the Mapo Tofu. The radio was playing like Christian soul; new to me, but as a Christian, I didn't mind. =) Oh, and in the pic I have my Kefir from Trader Joe's. I wanted something dairy to counter the heat, if needed. Mmm.

I placed an online…read moreorder for the two chicken egg rolls, Spicy chili wontons, general Tso chicken and an order of fried rice flat noodles. All the food was on the expensive side, but I heard it was good, so I didn't mine. One of the first thing I noticed was the entrees do not come with rice. There is a $1 up charge for white rice and $3 for fried rice, $5 for noodles. I have never experienced a Chinese restaurant that charged for white rice with an entree (not even PF Chang). I arrived 10 minutes after the time I was told my food would be ready. I checked in at the register and was told it would be another 5 minutes. I was told to have a seat and wait. Since there is no place to sit when waiting for a take out order, I sat down in the closet booth next to the register. After about 1 minute, a very rude lady came over in broken English and screamed that I could not sit there. I told her I was waiting on a to-go order and she just kept screaming "you don't can sit there", so I got up and stood by the front door. If my food had not already been paid for, I would have left after that rude encounter. The ambiance of the restaurant is very strange as they had a boombox loudly playing 80s music. It was so load, I felt bad for the customers who were eating at there. No way you could enjoy siting there listening to the annoying loud music while you ate. About 5 minutes later (15 minutes past the time they originally told me it would be ready) my food was ready. The food did come out very hot. I retrieved my food and took it home to enjoy. Overall the food is very basic and not worth the elevated price. The egg rolls were over fried and greasy. The spicy wonton were very bland and not spicy at all. The general Tso chicken was not good. Very small pieces of chicken, over breaded and a bland sauce. Again not spicy at all. The fried flat rice noodles were the biggest disappointment. Mushy noodles that were all stuck together. Not good at all. Overall the Noodle Works was a big disappointment. There are so many better option in the area (Dragon House or the Wok). Do yourself a favor and skip the rude staff Noodle Works.

She asked if we had a reservation (at 12 noon on a Sunday!). We didn't as we had just learned of the restaurant 10 minutes prior thanks to Yelp. She told us "no problem, we have a table where you can sit or you are welcome to sit at the bar." We chose the table. Once there, a kind woman brought us ice water, welcomed us, and told us to relax and enjoy ourselves. There is no rush to eat quickly. Next arrived our friendly & awesome waiter! Once he learned that it was our first time there, he asked if we needed any help in decifering the menu and offered his assistance should we need it. We told him we were ready to order... Then the food arrived.... We ordered the chicken, celery, and carrot dumplings, wagyu potstickers, Peking duck, and traditional chicken fried rice to eat family style. Wagyu potstickers - they were good. You could definitely enjoy these with or without the sauce that they provided. Traditional chicken fried rice - the rice was too moist and lacked flavor. (My son thought it had too many peas. I thought it was a perfect amount. LOL) We will not order this dish next time. Peking Duck - my son and daughter devoured it saying that it was delicious!! (I do not personally eat duck so I'll take their word for it). Chicken, celery & carrot dumplings - these were our absolute favorite!! So much so that we ordered a second serving of them. We discussed the fact that we could not think of another restaurant with chicken dumplings that we liked more. Will we return to Teddy Wong's??? DEFINITELY!!!

The restaurant itself felt clean, spacious, and relaxed, which I always appreciate for a pho spot. Nothing overly trendy or complicated.. just a simple place where you can sit down, slow your day a little, and enjoy a warm bowl of soup. I ordered pho and really liked how light and clean the broth tasted. It didn't feel overly salty or heavy, which made it easy to keep going back for another spoonful. The noodles were soft without being mushy, and the fresh herbs, bean sprouts, lime, and jalapeño on the side helped bring everything together nicely. It had that balanced, comforting quality I usually hope for when ordering pho. The Vietnamese iced coffee was also a nice little highlight for me. Smooth, sweet, and strong enough to feel satisfying without being too much. Overall, this felt like a solid neighborhood spot for a casual Vietnamese meal. It may not be the flashiest place, but it felt warm, unfussy, and genuinely enjoyable.. which honestly goes a long way. I'd definitely come back when I'm in the mood for something simple, fresh, and comforting.
