I am one of the Los Gatos Spenga's founding members. I've been going here over four years and recently celebrated my 500th session. This means that this review is about four and a half years late. I first joined Spenga from a gym that did a lot of HIT workouts. The workouts were decent, but there was never time given to cool down and stretching. I heard about the new Spenga opening up in LG and was immediately interested due to the yoga. Spenga is a whole body work out-- spin/strength/yoga (20 minutes of each in an hour long session). If you have never done the Spenga work out-- it is HARD. Every single time. Because as you get stronger and stronger, your "sweet spot" (power output on the bike) gets higher and you are encouraged to lift heavier weights and do stronger yoga poses. The combination of spin/strength/yoga goes by quickly, especially as there's so much you have to pay attention to. But the reason I have stayed so long at Spenga is the instructors and the community. Some instructors (Marina) have been there from the start. She recently celebrated her 2000 session. Chloie-- also an OG-- celebrated her 1500 session. Having the same instructors mean they get to know you personally (which is a double-edge sword-- they will push you to work harder!!) One of the co-owners, Dan, is a regular-- he is often at the front desk or taking a class with us. The instructors and the front desk team make you feel welcomed. You are greeted by name (unlike other studios I've attended where they work hard to ignore you), and the instructors even ask you to introduce yourself to your neighbor in the work out. As I take classes at the same time every day, I get to know the other people in the class. We cheer each other on, especially during the tough workouts. There are lots of celebration moments-- check out Spengalg's instagram accounts to see pics of the clients hitting major milestones, working on their birthday, etc. Spenga attracts all kinds of people. It's a workout that has something for everyone. Whether you are looking to get back in shape, get into a shape you have never been, or wanting variety from your current routine, I'd recommend giving Spenga a visit! read more

I've been coming to SPENGA for about six months now, and I love it. Staff: They've built a real community at SPENGA. The staff are friendly and welcoming, from the front desk managers to each and every instructor. Each instructor has a different vibe -- and they're all great. From time to time, the studio runs different fitness challenges, which helps foster the community atmosphere. Atmosphere: The studio is set up into three different sections - one for spin, one for strength, and the other for yoga. The facilities are modern and very clean. It's nice! Classes: The signature Spenga workout is 60 minutes - 20 minutes of spin, 20 minutes of strength, and 20 minutes of yoga. The Spin classes ramp up in intensity based on your own performance over time through increasing your "sweet spot." This is nice because you can see how much you improve over time. After a SPENGA class, I feel like I've had a great workout and love that it ends in yoga. The mix of all three parts works so well for me. I'd gotten out of the habit of working out -life got busy. And SPENGA has been great for me to get back into the swing of things. I've gotten good results in terms of fat loss and physical performance. I can't wait to see what the next six months has in store. I'd absolutely recommend giving it a try if you are looking for a new fitness activity in Los Gatos. read more

#1 Amazing instructors (Marina, Susie, Chloie, and Ashley have been my inspirational instructors so far) I love that it is personalized and is not boring! Spinning Room: 20 minutes of sweating with loud music in the dark. I am making it sound worse than it actually is! We can see how we are doing on the screen. then move to the ....Weights Room: 20 minutes of circuits. I love that we can choose our own weights (or none at all) and there are modifications for weaklings like me. Finally....we move to the dark Yoga Room for 20 minutes. Hallelujah! read more

I recently hit 5 classes! I came from cyclebar Los Gatos but sadly it closed down :( I am really loving Spenga. I love how strenght section is different everyday. I already feel so much stronger. My only complaint because I came from spin. I would love full spin class. 20mins of spin is nothing for me. Haha! I use to occasionally take 3 back to back classes on the weekend. So, far I am loving the environment and how everyone is so friendly and welcoming. I always get excited when improve my sweet spot. read more

They would not allow me into class due to arriving 10 minutes early, rather than 15. That's a super lame policy...literally no one needs 15 minutes to get acquainted with a spin bike. I let them know I have a spin background, am super active, and they still turned me away. I will not ever try one of these workouts. I tried to schedule an hour for myself. Now you want 15 extra minutes? For what, so you can show me where the water station is? Get over yourselves. read more

great concept of their signature "spenga" (spin, strength, yoga), beautiful studio too! think of orange theory but better. it's not obnoxiously loud, fast paced, or confusing. it's intimate enough for the instructors to connect and encourage members individually. the concept of 20 minutes for each section is great for someone who gets bored easily. music for spin is always different- the strength portion is always structured differently, and the yoga is the time where i catch my breath lol. they have other flavors of classes available: sometimes strength or yoga only classes (those have been great too) based on my availability i've been only able to go almost once a month on a weekend- i find each staff member to be friendly and available for any questions or qualms. studio is very clean and organized. their app has been easy to use, i havent had any issues. your spin stats are also available on the app, it's always fun for me to look at those metrics read more

A full workout experience all in one. The main class type is 20 minutes of spin, 20 minutes of strength, and 20 minutes of yoga. They also offer some only-strength or only spin+strength classes as well, but I think their claim to fame is the full combo. My favorite instructors are Marina and Chloie - knowledgeable and motivating. Logistics: - plenty of strip mall parking outside - the bikes have dual pedals, with most people wearing street shoes on the flat side, but you can bring your own bike shoes with SPD cleats for the other side for greater power. I don't think they have bike shoe rentals - all strength and yoga equipment provided - two unisex (I think) bathrooms, not sure if they have showers - the studio is perfumed with lemongrass. It's bearable even to my sensitive nose but bearable. Just a heads up to any scent sensitive folks out there. - small lockers available, no personal lock needed read more

I've been taking the REP classes with Chloie. The workouts are amazing! Challenging enough to push me out of my comfort zone but adjustable for all fitness levels. Each circuit keeps things fresh and fun, combining strength, cardio, and endurance in a way that never feels repetitive. What really sets this class apart, though, is the atmosphere. The instructors bring so much positive energy, and the music and group vibe make even the toughest rounds fly by. For a person who gets demotivated to do any form of exercise, to come to love working out and often look forward to it is a miracle in itself. I love the concept of 20 minutes of each- spin, endurance and yoga. It keeps me engaged and allows me to get better in each segment without overwhelming me. The instructors (Chloe, Tiffany, Ashley, marina and Elijah) are amazing and build a connection with you, take time to show you the way and help you with doing the exercise properly. Overdue review! I am approaching my 1 year anniversary with SPENGA. I discovered it while trying different fitness venues with ClassPass in December of last year. I absolutely love their model: a complete workout with cardio, strength, and yoga. All instructors are amazing and the front desk staff is awesome too. They make easy to stay motivated. I love the variety of fitness challenges each 20 minute segment offers (spin, strength & yoga). You go at your level for each. I also appreciate that I show up and someone else tells me what to do, no thinking. I have gone to classes with each of the instructors and all are welcoming and had their own flare. The front desk staff is helpful and respectful. As a rule follower I love how they are consistent with the policies. I actually have come here multiple times and loved it, however, i don't think I'll be back after my last experience. I signed up for class pass to try other classes a bit closer to me, but saw this was on it too so I signed up for a class over the weekend. When I got there, there was an older lady at the front and she absolutely would not let me in because I didn't come 15 minutes before class. Okay--it's your policy, I understand.. however, there was another person checking in at the same time who was let in. I told her I've been there before and didn't need to understand the tech, it was just my first time with ClassPass (I did arrive 5 minutes prior to class). While talking to her, I asked if I could at least check in since I was already there and to avoid the CP fee. She kept saying no until the girl who was ALSO checking in spoke up for me and mentioned how it shouldn't matter since it's just CP and not related to this facility. I checked in and left. This interaction was completely off and felt like it was some sort of racial thing since the worker in the front and the girl checking in were both Caucasian. I literally finished checking in while the other girl who sided with me still didn't even enter the studio room. read more

Spenga has become my best weekly routine! I enjoy the people, instructors and have made a true community there. The workouts push me every single time. I love that the strength section is ALWAYS different. I never get bored. They celebrate 100, 250 and more sessions so it pushes you to do better and come often. I love it! read more

I've been a member at SPENGA for 2 yrs now. Want the perfect combo of SPin, strENGth, & yoGA? Join SPENGA! The perfect 60 min session. Just when you think you can't spin anymore, it's done and you're off to strength and then finish it all off with yoga. They also offer 45 min strength only sessions called "Rep" sessions. I take Rep 3 days a week and then SPENGA 2 days a week. If you need a community to motivate you to workout regularly, you won't find a better family than here. (Especially if you're an early morning workout person, join the 5am crew! They make early mornings fun and worth it!) Consistency is key! This place is faaancy! I love it. Clean, spacious, lots of workout variety. You get assigned a # that you use for your locker, bike, and hiit station. Little mini fridge in the front has free beverages and there is gum, hair ties, and ear plugs at the front desk. Only two showers but very private and equipped with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, and deodorant. Bring your own towel though. read more
