Had our first trip to this local restaurant today being a Saturday and open from 9:00 am to 11:00 pm. The brunch menu is available from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm as is everything but the dinner menu that begins at 4:00 pm each day. I ordered the Lump Crab Cakes and found they were very good and had real fresh carb meat ingredients. We ordered the Smash burger with cheese and fresh fried onions and steak fries. I ordered the ground bison Smothered Steak with mashed potatoes and white gravy and green beans. Both dishes were very good and everything was all fresh made. We certainly will be back for an evening menu trip as well as the brunch menu. You must give this local restaurant a try as you will not be disappointed. We enjoyed the very attentive service we received as well. Happy to see we have a very good restaurant to take family and business friends for a nice meal. read more

It's very disheartening to see that customer service is not the #1 priority when your business literally IS customer service. Piss poor service today, Speedy's Chophouse Reserved a table for 4 at 11 this morning and there was no reservation upon arrival. Had to ask another waitress to take our drink order after 7 minutes of waiting (drink order should've been taken when we were seated by our waitress) Drinks were only refilled when asked (waitress should be eyeing the table with EVERY PASS) Had to track our waitress down after over 10 minutes of waiting to pay. Hard to spend money and support a local business when the customer service is sub-par. read more

This restaurant replaced a different restaurant that I loved. So I decided to try it when I was in town on a Tuesday for dinner, as they aren't open on Mondays. I chose a bar seat, and the bartender was immediately a bit bristly because he had a lot of customers in the bar area by himself. The other 2 waitresses were busy in the other half of the restaurant. He ended up being great, but he was stressed. It's nicer inside than the previous restaurant! It has more seating. They had some specials for the night, so I tried the Reuben sandwich. It was a top notch Reuben. I loved the calamari appetizer too. It's breaded in house fresh instead of pre breaded frozen. My cocktail was delicious too. I'll definitely be back to try more menu options. Oh, and they have a huge selection of bar drinks! Loads of bourbon choices. read more

Been waiting for this place to open for a while. I'm by the people who have blind swine. we definitely needed this. In Grove and I think everybody will be happy with the quality and the prices. I'm going to enjoy setting up that long bar. read more

Went for St Patrick dinner. Corn beef was crunchy with a feeling of chewing little cubes ( weird) of plastic; cabbage overcooked too mush and cold when served. Drink was delicious, some green frothy thing with Baileys. read more

I only gave it two stars because our server was new otherwise I would have given zero stars. We were a party of five adults that went for the all you can eat seafood boil, the corn on the cob was still partially uncooked (very cold) Kitchen was very very slow at getting more crab and shrimp and the place wasn't even that busy so I'm not sure what the hold up was? When the bill came they changed us gratuity when it plainly stated gratuity was changed on party's of 7 or more... So dine with caution read more

I honestly don't understand the bad reviews! We've been here many times now and have never had any bad food, it has all been great! From steak to appetizers to brunch, everything I've had has been great. The service is always superb, the cocktails are always top notch! This is not a paid review, I just really want this place to get more recognition and to stay in business. There is no place like this in Grove and it needs to stay! We always sit at the bar, and I love the decor and ambience of the whole place. Great selection of booze too. They've done a great job! Love it! read more

We did try three times since it is a new business. Typical service--I'd like some coffee please. Waitress: I'd have to make some. Disappears and no coffee. A friend of mine recommended this restaurant and we decided to check it out. We got there and we saw empty tables and a lot of drinks at the bar (not many people either). Being already there we looked at the menu and as soon as I saw the prices I knew I was not going to enjoy my dinner. Their prices are reasonable for a good restaurant, NOT FOR THIS ONE. The ambiance didn't help either. My husband's meat resembled a shoe sole and mine lacked flavor. Now I am also disappointed with my friend. I thought he had better standards! We tried this place a few days ago. The restaurant was busy and we understood that. It took 10 minutes to be seated, which isn't too bad for the place being busy. Once we were seated, it took 10 minutes to even be greeted by our server. She passed by us several times before coming over to get our drink order. Like I said, we understood that it was busy. We ordered cocktails and our waitress went to put the drink order in while we were still looking at the menu. It took another 20 minutes for her to even acknowledge us again, even though she walked by several times. Finally she came to take our order. We decided to order our appetizer and food because we were starting to worry that we were going to wait even more time for our food. We still have not received the two cocktails that we ordered 20 minutes ago. Our appetizer came out and we mentioned to another worker that we had not gotten our drinks. One drink finally showed up after 30 minutes of waiting for the drinks, but not the other. Our waitress came back around and filled our waters. Still no second cocktail. She did not even realize that we were missing a drink and walked away before we could get her attention about missing the drink. Our waitress finally brought our food out and realized we were missing a drink.. She disappeared for a few minutes and came back with the drink. Once it was time to check out, we had been in the restaurant for an hour and a half. The waitress came to run our card to pay. She disappeared for 10 minutes, came back to the table, and stated that she accidentally ran the card on another tables ticket. She admitted to the mistake and gave us the ticket with the amount that was going to be refunded back to the card. She also showed us where she had ran the card for our meal. Very disappointed in the service and disappointed that there was no willingness to make anything right. Our waitress seemed to have a "whatever" attitude. We have been to both of the Blind Swines that the owner of the restaurant has, and we have never received such awful service. Visiting from out of state. Wanted something great that was local and with variety and different. Found Speedy Chophouse. Place was very nicely decorated inside. Old style bar on one side of the restaurant. Food was amazing! We chose a Mardi Gras theme NY Strip steak, different unique sides, and homemade soups. Portions very large-took home leftovers. Service was excellent!!!! Hope to return next time we are in town and esp try their brunch on the weekends. read more
