Toby from Falcon Locksmith is the best; if I could give 10 stars I would!…read more My tenant returned home from holiday last night and when she attempted to open the door the cylinder spinned until it came out of the lock. I found Falcon on Yelp and requested a quote; Toby responded in less than 2 mins. I sent him a pic of the lock and he sent me a quote right back. Toby was able to get to the apt in about 20 mins and get my tenant in the door. He called and gave me the options of either replacing the cylinder or the entire lock; I asked if replacing the cylinder would fix the issue and he advised that he would put in a new cylinder to see how the lock performs. I told Toby if the cylinder didn't fix the issue we would just replace the entire lock. We got off the phone and not long after I received a call advising the work was completed and the cylinder replacement worked, which saved me approximately $150. Toby didn't try to take advantage of the situation and force a new lock on me like some other locksmith's would have, he was honest and did what was needed to resolve the issue. Toby is a man of integrity and I appreciate that, especially in the times we are currently in where everyone is a scammer. I will definitely call on Toby again if the need arises!

The whole thing had to be replaced (it was very old). Now my door opens so much easier too. He also fixed it in a way that I don't have to pull or slam the door just to get it closed. I was able to get the information about the company that I needed for forms from public documents, because they are properly registered. I contacted them via email and they were responsive. This was a month out. I sent them information about the lock including pictures a week before the date and they confirmed that the lock on the door was going to be a challenge. The morning of, I called them to confirm they were coming and they said they were delayed. The Sheriff was delayed as well. They scrambled and got someone there when I needed them there. The locksmith they send, Oswald, worked for well over an hour, closer to two, to cut into the Medco lock plate. He didn't realize he would be dealing with that lock, despite my having told them in advance. While the sheriff's waited, he worked his butt off to get the lock off the door and replace the locks. He was amazing. He politely asked to use the bathroom to clean up after two hours of work. After seeing how much work he put in on that lock, I felt funny that he felt he had to ask. Prices vary and you should discuss your situation with them. Off the top of my head, each regular lock was in the $100 range to take off and another $100 to replace. The Medco locks were under $300 to get off under $300 to put on. When calculating your cost, factor in multiple locks being two fees each lock if they are to be replaced. I would definitely use Abba's again. As a side note, this would apply the same if you were working with the Marshall.

When I called to report the problem, the owner didn't try to fix it, didn't listen, and instead started insulting me. The behavior was shocking, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. I have never dealt with someone so rude and hostile in any business setting. This is not how a legitimate company treats paying customers. If you question his work or disagree with him in any way, expect to be verbally attacked. Save yourself the money, stress, and disrespect--go somewhere else.

At a…read morehome where I was dog sitting, I was locked out of the home due to a stupid mistake on my part. The owners have a keypad lock on the door and don't use the doorknob. Without thinking, I engaged the lock on the doorknob and couldn't get back into the house. I partnered with the owner who called A Locksmith & Key Company. A gentleman named Osworth arrived at the home and made an attempt to open the door using a plastic sheet to depress the doorknob. When that didn't work, he said he would have to cut the doorknob off. He said the doorknob was defective because there was a piece of adhesive tape over the keyhole. I told him I doubted the knob was defective, that the tape was merely a reminder not to use the key. When I asked if he would try picking the lock he seemed surprised and said, "Oh. You want me to try that?". What on earth?! Of course I wanted him to try that! He quickly tried picking the lock without success. At this point, I really questioned whether it truly didn't work or he was looking to rake in extra for a new doorknob. He said it would be $100 to cut the doorknob off plus labor. WHAT?! Already, he stated that his basic service would be $225. However, when he got the homeowner on the phone, she indicated that she'd been told the charge was $150. By this point, he had cut the doorknob off and the homeowner was not happy. Understandably so. I did not have a good feel about Osworth from the very beginning. He seemed to me to be someone who saw a mark. He may not be a true reflection of the company's values or standards, but unfortunately, he WAS the face of the company that evening and he was someone who smooth talked while taking advantage of a customer. I hope not to need a locksmith in the future, however, if I do, I will not contact this establishment.

The physical key was also giving me problems so I couldn't even get into the vehicle. I contacted other locksmiths, but Mark was came in at a great price and tried to walk me through testing the key fob, swapping its batteries, the physical key and anything else that could be wrong. Luckily for me the battery came back to life enough for me ro be able to take the car to Mark. There he did some diagnostics and told me it was likely a failing battery and not the key fob. Well, I was grateful for that as it meant I didn't need to replace the current key fob. But I don't like to be left unprepared so I asked him to program a second key fob while I was there. I had bought one previously but put off getting it done. Mark quickly cut and programmed the new one. It worked as good as the original. Anyway a long annoying morning ending up pretty great as I now knew what was wrong, was able to get into my car and get it started. And I got a new key fob done for a great price. Mark is a super nice guy, professional and quick and I totally recommend him.
