Professional, timely, reasonable and reliable. We thought it might be difficult to find someone willing to move a single piece of furniture. After several unanswered messages for other movers, we found Paul on Craigslist. He texted back within minutes with a reasonable price, coordinated the time with our schedules, arrived exactly on time and handled the move expeditiously and carefully. This time it was just one item. And from the other reviews, I see he performed equally well for entire households and moves out-of-state. I would definitely use his services again for any move, large or small. read more

I used Paul last week for our move once we sold our townhouse. As the other reviews stated, he will price your job based on what needs to be done and give you one flat rate. I didn't see the beauty of this until Paul and his crew actually arrived and started moving. He is extremely punctual and reliable. They were especially careful with all of our belongings, making sure to thoroughly wrap the televisions and very choosy on which route they took to get things down to the trucks. We had a lot of stairs to tackle and it was a hot day, but no one complained. They just get in there and get the job done. Our move was a little complicated since we were moving some of our items to storage and some to my mom's house. As they were moving things, they found a drawer that was broken (and no they didn't break it, it really was already broken). What was great is that Paul's brother, Scott works with him and he's a handyman, so they fixed it right up for us. They disassembled the furniture and reassembled it PERFECTLY--no missing pieces. And his rate was SUPER REASONABLE!!!!! You will not find better people than Paul and his crew. I will definitely be giving him a call once we purchase our new home and need to move again. And we will be giving Scott a call too for some handy work!!! Thanks again Paul!! read more

Paul and his crew were simply amazing! They came on time , were very respectful of not damaging floors or doorways in the apartment and moved our stuff quickly. They were also the cheapest in terms of cost for a 2bd apt is was $415. We ended up paying $450 with the diff as a tip - that's how good they are!! Paul does come by before the move to survey how much stuff you have to provide the fixed rate. I will definitely use his service again and recommend him to friends and family. read more

I used Paul and his friend Brian to do a quick bedroom move from Encino to Toluca Lake. They quoted me a great price, so I said let's do this! Anyway, these guys are fast, precise, and know what they are doing. They are super careful with wrapping, carrying, and strapping your things in the truck. They barely talk to each other the whole time, but they move in lockstep with each other. It's really fun to watch them, because they have a system and are just so efficient at what they do-- things don't even look heavy to them. I asked them what the worst thing about being a mover is and they said, "When people aren't ready." So make sure your packed and ready to go, and it will go really quick! I tipped them 25% because it was so painless. read more

Paul and his team were amazing! Where do I begin? When I was browsing yelp looking for a moving company I came across this company and loved the reviews. So I called Paul to get an estimate. He didn't want to quote me over the phone without coming by and seeing exactly what I had so he could accurately quote me. What I like is he charged me a flat fee rather than hourly. He beat out all the companies that I called for quotes. On moving day Paul and his team showed up on time and were hard working! His crew was very friendly and always wanted to make sure that I was satisfied. I was shocked at how fast they got the job done and how they handled my stuff with such care. I am more than impressed and I will refer them to anyone that is looking for a good, honest, reliable moving company. Paul you have my future business thank you for all your hard work! read more

What can I say... Paul moved me 7 years ago. When it was time to move again, I contacted my friend that had referred me back then to get Paul's info. (My old phone had died....not pretty...) I contacted him by email, explaining what I had to be moved (storage to an apartment) and asked if that was something he could do. He responded and I was very happy to find out that not only was Paul still in the moving business, but his business had expanded. I actually call him earlier than expected because I had to be out of the place in which I was living and time was running out. He had no problem setting it up for the day I needed. His brother and another gentleman (who's name I'm zoning on now) showed up and handled it all very professionally. I'm disabled and there's just stuff I can't do anymore; the guys took great care of me and my belongings. I HIGHLY recommend Paul and his guys. They are fair, prompt, and professional...and on top of that they're nice too. read more

Best movers around hands down. I needed to move some, okay a lot, of my things into storage. I panicked because the day before I still did not have any movers booked. I started researching craigslist and yelp. I research everything I do pretty thoroughly before I act. When I googled most movers from craigslist by phone number posted, most had negative reviews. I started searching through yelp. The highest rated movers also had the highest rates. Then I found Speedy Sparks and called Paul. He said he really needed to come over and evaluate what needed to be moved. He was there within 30 minutes! He gave me a beyond fair price when I told him what my budget was. His quotes are by the job not the hour, which is awesome. I like this because I know exactly what I'm paying. There are no surprises. Paul and the other guy (sorry I forget his name) showed up on time the next morning. They handled all my valuables and belongings with such care. It took more work and more time then initially estimated but Paul stuck with his original quote. Seriously, these guys are awesome. Only moving company I'll ever use in future. read more

Had a refrigerator moved today. I had trust issues because the guy that was originally supposed to do it never showed up. Fortunately, Speedy Sparks Moving Service saved me by showing up! Ok, he also showed up on time, moved the refrigerator quickly and with no trouble or nonsense. I even spilled a gross bag of trash when he arrived, and he helped me clean it up, talk about going above and beyond. I have a smallish freezer on top fridge and had 1 set of stairs. Charged $125 to move from Van Nuys to San Gabriel, pretty decent price. read more

These guys are awesome. Paul came by and checked my place out and gave me an amazing quote a few days before. I've been ripped off by some of the "bigger" moving companies always adding things at the last minute and Paul's quote was true to his word. Seeing it was only was it 104º in the valley on move day, Paul and his crew kept great attitudes throughout the day and I would hire them again in an instant. Skip read more

A friend of mine who's boss has also used Speedy Sparks Moving Service recommended them to me. Both gave high praise. Paul and his helpers are all that you can ask for in a moving company. My father had past-away and I need to move his belongings. He promptly returned my call... luckily they where available when I need them and on short notice. They had to drive several hours to meet me; they called to check in on the drive down and where on time. They where clean, polite and friendly and where respectful of my fathers things. They got the job done fast... no dilly-dallying. There rate was competitive and the service was superb. I will be using them again. Thank you - Paul, Stevie and Carlos read more

I hired Speedy Sparks to help me move from a studio to a one bedroom. Pete, the person who I had been in contact with regarding the move, texted me two hours before hand and again when they were about 15 minutes away to let me know about their arrival. When they showed up they went straight to work, while maintaining a polite and positive demeanor. It took them about two hours to complete the job saving me a ton of time and back pain. They treated my possessions with respect. This service was superb. I also consider the fact that I was quoted a flat rate rather than an hourly rate to be a huge plus. I would recommend their service to friends. read more

Was searching last minute moving company and checked on yelp and the reviews. That's when I called Paul. I honestly feel all the reviews said exactly what Paul and his team do after he helped me move!Excellent job. First he wanted to see if my furniture and stuff I had with my loaded items in garage (from three different houses I had stacked over time) would fit in his truck so to give an estimate, then he explained that it might rain the next day and it was smarter to wait another day.Which we did and am greatful for his advice. He showed up with his team on the day of my move and everything went very smooth, fast and cooperative. The name "Speedy Sparks " is exactly the lable he is.Him and his team are genuine, professional, and energetic. No time is wasted.I already recommended him to some other members of my family. This guy delivers: customer service, moving service , and best rate !! read more

top notch company and guy. on time, nice, clean, respectful, responsive, careful and well worth every penny. I also used him for a craigslist purchase and as I am a LA newbie, was super anxious about the whole thing. He seemed very legit and even texted when he was 2 min behind!! I was shocked (most ppl wouldn't care) and felt completely reassured. Then when I actually met him- he took care if it all w/o a blink. He even noticed a dent in the bookshelf and asked if I still wanted to buy it! Without a doubt- Paul is the best mover in SoCal. I plan to use him again for future moves and have already spread the word. Thanks Paul!! read more

I needed a sofa moved from the lower level to the second floor but had to do it from the outside and hoist the sofa onto the 2nd story balcony and the shipping company just drops off the furniture so I called Speedy since they were in Encino as well and explained my situation at 2:00 by 3:30 Paul & Carlos were at my home they evaluated the situation came up with a plan and executed it perfectly. They proceeded to help assemble the sofa after taking it out of the box none of which I thought was required. They would be the kind of guys I'd want to move my things knowing how professional they are and you can tell they care about doing a good job. read more

I have never been treated with such disrespect by one of the most arrogant, unsympathetic men it has ever been my displeasure to meet in a very long time...and in a business setting! Shocking! I am female, alone and trying to pack up my 1 bedroom apartment for a move. Paul had the nerve to tell me that there was no way I'd be ready by next weekend (9/25). I'm about to have surgery for a cancer diagnosis and am just barely hanging on and to be told that there was no way it could be done just about put me over the edge. Well, I showed that SOB. I finished 3/4 of my packing in 1 night. I wouldn't use this company if there were the last movers available. I don't care how careful they are. I would never allow this person in my home again. Remember, krama's a bitch. read more

Speedy Sparks Moving Co; Paul helped to make the most stressful move of my life very simple. He moved the contents of our entire 4/3 bath house plus a huge granite dining table, piano, patio furniture and a 25' boat all out of state about 13hrs away. Then a few months later he moved my grandparents furniture up here too. Nothing was broken and every precaution was taken by Paul to make the move ultra smooth. I cannot recommend him enough. Easy going very fair and a genuine guy. read more

Paul was so easy to work with and very professional over the phone and email. He showed up on time, didn't leave a scratch on anything, and was so friendly and professional. He even went out of his way to help with a few things that he hadn't agreed to earlier. I HIGHLY recommend him; in fact, I already recommended him to my parents who have already used his services and were REALLY happy too! read more

This review is long overdue. We moved back in October and these guys were great from the beginning. I had shopped around and went eith Speedy Sparks for their price and customer service. No B.S. and very quick to respond to emails and questions (Even while he was on vacation!). Trustworthy, fast and got the job done right. Thanks so much guys!! Would definitely reccomend and use them again. read more

Paul and Bryan are amazing. If I could give them 100 stars I would. They helped me move from Pasadena to Burbank in a matter of hours. They are extremely fast, courteous and careful. They moved my entire bedroom, living room, dining room and patio set in record time and for a price that was super affordable. I got multiple quotes and they were the best priced and best value by far. I highly recommend them and will definitely be using them when I move out again. read more

This is the 4th time I have contracted the services of Paul. As usual, he's on time, very professional, will treat your furnitures/items like his. He truly cares for your stuff and just genuinely really want to help. Very reasonable rates. With the amount of work he does for you, I am surprised why he's not charging more. No reason to look for another mover than this guy. read more

I would recommend these guys to anyone. They truly are awesome and Paul totally saved me when my previous movers canceled on me 10 min before they were suppose to show up. The guys got there with a smile and went above and beyond to get the job done. It was a complete no brainer when it came to unpacking so once again the guys came back with incredible service and even put our beds together. When it comes to moving you're in the right hands!!!! Thanks again Paul!!! read more

Paul and his team are reliable and friendly. He communicated with me and was easy to deal with. Very professional and arrived on time. My move was small - only the heavy items that needed special care and handling were left to be moved early Saturday morning. They came and took care of my things as if they owned them. No scratches or dents in my items, floors, or walls. They even took my extra sofa away to be donated instead of leaving me to deal with it on top of my move. Highly recommended if you are looking for a professional, reliable mover. read more

I rarely write reviews but Speedy Sparks was awesome! I had the make three stops and get a giant fridge up a flight of stairs. I am your average girl with small arms and no knowledge of refrigerators. Paul was super professional and really helpful with pointing out stuff (problems) about the products I was buying from craigslist. He is a lifesaver and I definitely recommend him to anyone! The world needs less laziness and more quality people and companies like them! read more

Two words: life saver! After being stood up by a different moving company (who is not listed on yelp and now I know why) I looked for a moving company on yelp. Needed to move ASAP from Los Angeles to San Diego. Paul called back promptly and within 24 hours we were completely moved. His price was very fair, the service was impeccable and the customer service excellent. I would happily use his service again and will strongly recommend it to all my friends. I used Speedy Sparks to move a fridge from one apartment in Santa Monica to my new apartment in Encino. He was incredibly professional, arriving early, efficiently and quickly getting the fridge loaded, and then arrived in Encino in a timely manner. He was excellent and has been a pleasure to deal with. I would recommend him to anyone needs a mover. Plus his rate was more than reasonable. So impressed with Paul! read more

Very professional, organized, reliable, honest and fast!!! I needed to bring home vintage dresser I bought, I found Paul's number on craigslist and he returned my call right away, gave very reasonable estimate and showed exactly on time as he promised. Paul was very understanding his customer needs, he was very careful, although the dresser was very heavy, had very intricate decoration and oversized mirror, it didn't get a single scratch!
