I recently made arrangements to move my elderly father who lived in a large 3 story house for 30 years into half of a double. Included in the move was a second move of my belongings stored in this house to Florida. There were 2 trucks involved and a lot of furniture. Because of the sensitive nature of moving an elderly person together with the long distance move, the stress level was high. In fact, there was a huge argument over the cost of the movers between family members the night before the move. The argument was over the price another moving company had given me that I decided not to go with. Others believed I was using this much higher priced moving company and that I was being over-charged. Best Darn Movers exceeds expectations. I used them for the 2nd time a week ago and was just amazed AGAIN at their professionalism and affordable pricing. I was in the middle of a self move for my mother from Forty Fort to North Carolina when we ran into trouble with some large items. I called Joel in the morning, and presto he was able to accommodate me between jobs that very day. Not only did they help me out of a bind, but the work they did was perfect and affordable. We've used BDM every single time we've had to move house (around 9 times at this point) and have never been disappointed. Joel is wonderful and hires great guys who are quick, courteous, professional, and good at what they do. They got there exactly on time, got the job done super fast, and were very courteous and accommodating (for a very reasonable price!). None of our stuff was damaged at all. Moving is stressful enough on its own; it's good to know there's a moving company we can trust every time to get the job done right so we can focus on getting settled in our new place instead. I'm one of those people who like to read the reviews, but don't get around to posting a review of my own - but in this case, I needed to make an exception. I emailed Joel 10 days before our move since the movers we thought we had fell through. Fortunately, Joel's team was available (we rented the trucks), and everything fell into place perfectly. They moved us out on a Wednesday, and moved us into the new home 2 days later on Friday. The team was great - very quick (considering they're paid by the hour), very respectful and personable. If you looking for a good quality movers this is the one. Everything was explained to me what was included with the move and there was no hidden charges or costs. The day of the move they did call me to tell me what time they were to arrive. Once they came we went through the house to make sure that all was moved according to my request. They wasted no time and moved everything in about 50 minutes. The movers arrived to the new place quickly and placed where I wanted them. I was quoted a price by the owner of the company and it was less because they did it quickly and carefully even making sure that they didn't scratch the new floors in the apartment. If you are looking for some help with your move I am pretty sure there is no one better. I called Joel two days before needed my storage cube unloaded. Joel told me his guys had a big move that day but he was try to get me taken. Joel text me 45 mins before they showed (which I appreciated) they came unloaded my stuff so quickly and they were super friendly. They even helped me put my TV on the stand. Once receiving my check Joel text to ask me how everything went (again much appreciated) he even inquired about the extra money(their tip) on the check. They were very professional, worked with my schedule, were considerate of my belongings, and got me into my new place with little problem. The gentlemen, and they were all gentlemen, put all of my dismantled things back together, helped solve a dilemma that occurred when a piece of furniture fell apart (from age, not their fault) and made sure every last thing was where I wanted it before they left. I moved from a 2 bedroom apartment to a 4 bedroom house that was 25 miles away - and the guys got everything moved out, moved in and put into the proper place within 5 hours. The three guys who moved us were very fast, efficient, very well-mannered (called us Sir or Mam), showed great care and concern for our stuff and never complained or showed any sign of slowing down.
