I was looking for prices on a move out of storage into a garage in NEPA. I sent to a few movers in the area for a quote and was pleasantly surprised to hear back so quickly from Joel. Turns out he was a bit of a drive from where I needed things done. I CAN'T say enough about this moving company. Joel was very hospitable in helping me to arrange a moving date, especially since I needed to reschedule a few times. As far as the crew who did the move, they took exceptional care of our belongings, were super polite and wasted no time in the process. Worst Darn Movers EVER Broke 2 vases, dropped my television and claimed it wasn't their responsibility. Movers were rude and unprofessional.

All three were courteous, professional, and handled my belongings with care. BDM only charges for the time the movers spend at your house, so you don't get ripped off by paying for a set time and not using all of it. These guys didn't stand around, they got right to work and worked quickly. They are affordable, but I'd say that they are a bargain considering how quickly they work. I'd easily hire them again if I had an occasion that needed movers. read more

Everything started well, they were timely and professional. Took good care of my stuff inside my house. It wasn't until I looked in the truck after they left and when we unloaded the truck into storage that I found out how bad they really were. When I spoke with the movers the 2nd day for my second truck the movers stated the guy loading my truck had never loaded before, shouldn't have loaded and was fired the next day. That's fine, everyone has an occasional bad employee, but why is that my problem now. Due to the bad load with lots of unused space, I had to rent a additional Uhaul. To his credit, Joel reimbursed me for that expense. However the damage to my belongings is unacceptable. In addition to these pictures taken when we unloaded into storage I have significant scrapes and gouges in a lot of blanketed furniture including my dining room table, master bedroom dresser, rolltop and executive desks, treadmill, shelving, etc. read more

I thought this would be a difficult move. Our furniture was large and very heavy. Pieces had to be divided, doors had to come off, elevator was small so much of the furniture had to be walked down 4 floors etc.. What i thought would take several hours, took just a few. These guys were skilled movers, polite, helpful, and never stopped working, They knew exactly how to best move the furniture and took extra care in making sure there was no damage. Joel always replied promptly. The cost was fair. They even came back because we had to stop for installation of a carpet in one of our rooms so they put everything in the garage, came back a day later and placed in room for a very small fee. I recently used best darn movers to load a trailer for our move. They were very prompt and friendly. The move went pretty smoothly but they did damage a piece of my dresser when it slipped out of the mans hands. (Just decorative and able to stick back on). I did find some damage to my end tables, coffee table and kitchen table when it was unloaded. Could have been from the packing or happened in transit. Also a fee boxes marked fragile were crushed and obviously not loaded on top but thankfully nothing was too damaged. I would use them again. read more

I first used Best Darn Movers 11/2012 when I put things into storage .Trop. Storm Sandy disrupted plans for a beach move. On 12/29/13 Best Darn Movers delivered my things out to the Pittsburgh area where I've decided to settle. Both experiences were as good as could be expected. Nothing Broken ! Nice young people ! Courteous as can be ! I did most of the packing of small stuff, but they VERY carefully wrapped televisions,etc. You can't kick about their price at all compared to the large moving companies. In both experiences, the crew was very diligent and hard-working. They will go anywhere. They were going to deliver here Christmas Eve but I couldn't allow that. I have used Best Darn Movers twice. I was very pleased with them the fist time. The second time was not so good. I am still very upset about the crack and break they created in my breakfast nook bench. They left me to fix it myself instead of either fixing themselves or replacing it. It was thought that a $25 gift card was going to be enough to fix it. I am not a Fix-It girl. I expect people make good on the things they do and on correcting the issues that they create.
