Located in the parking lot next to Big O tires on Washington Ave @ Lewelling Bl. Quick, easy, professional service. I dropped in last time for my smog check and they were able to take me without an appointment. Took about 10-15 mins and was reasonably priced. Recently, I received a $10 off coupon sent to me by Speedy Smog on thé anniversary of my original smog test. I will definitely be going back. Good customer service right there. Thanks Speedy Smog. read more

Speedy Smog - Mailer - Smog Check Stations Near Me - San Leandro, California

I was disappointed with my experience. The business promotes deals online, but when we arrived, the advertised deals were not accepted. This was frustrating and made us feel that the online promotion was misleading. I hope they can make sure their advertised deals are honored in-store and clearly explain any restrictions. Unfortunately, it was not a good experience. read more

My mom took her vehicle here to smog and failed a visual for a carb legal aftermarket catalytic converter. The catalytic converter that was installed carried a c.a.r.b. executive order number that was appropriate for her vehicle. She also provided documents supporting the legality. I get it though, and old lady easy to fail and not explain anything because you yourself do not understand the smog laws. Long story short it went to the state ref. The state ref was confused on why it didn't pass. He urged my mom to go back but she didn't and I'm glad. No value here folks especially if you're a female, they'll just rob you. Not sure if the techs are the same or have been but they're idiots. read more

I took my old car there for smog, used a coupon and was out in minutes! They are polite and efficient. I would definitely go there again.

I've been bringing my cars here for the past few years for smog check. I get done in and out quickly. I make sure to print the coupon from their website for a discount too. read more

For over 20 years in San Leandro, we've taken our three vehicles here for biennial smog checks due to DMV requirements, and we appreciate the friendly service, quick turnaround, and reasonable prices, knowing our history keeps things simple each time we visit. It feels great continuing to support a local business. read more

The gentleman was very professional and the service was fast even though he had a constant flow of customers!

Fast friendly neighborhood service. Took our Toyota RAV4 in for a smog check and I was done before my seat was warm.

Spark is so nice!! Smog done in about 1/2 hour and that's waiting behind a couple of other customers. Spark runs at energizer bunny speed!!! Thank you! read more

Just got my smog check done and was very happy with the service! No appointment needed. When I arrived, there were 3 other people already in the waiting area with only 1 tech working, but I didn't wait long at all. S. Park provided great customer service and was very efficient, making quick turnout with each customer/vehicle. Be sure to show the coupon from their website when getting checked in at the counter for $25 off the service. From arrival to departure, I was there a total of maybe 15-20 min. Corner location makes for easy entry from Washington Avenue and exit onto Lewelling Blvd. Highly recommend! read more

Been coming here for years. Husband went and got a smog check done here a couple months ago and paid in cash, they never sent anything into DMV (no electronic record was sent to dmv after smog I found out because DMV won't let me register) nor did they give him a receipt. Called to ask if they could check their records, they checked and there was nothing there. I was still talking with the man over the phone when he hung up on me. I'm sure the money was pocketed and never put in the books. Waste of time and money. Will be advising family and friends to do business elsewhere. Poor service. After reading other reviews it appears this happens here. I have also had family bring their car in for a smog check not knowing that it won't pass if the check engine light is on, they ran the car anyways. Bad customer service. read more

Fast! Personable! Great price! Was able to complete smog check on a Saturday! Very happy with the service! Highly recommend!

So I got a smog check super fast. Less than 10 minutes. Sent to DMV and verified. $88 out the door. So easy. The tech was nice. Shop has seating inside with a bunch of magazines. read more

Speedy Smog - Smog Check Stations Near Me - San Leandro, California

Always take my cars here for smog. Super quick and professional every time. Highly recommend.

Super Speedy! Super Economical (with their website coupon)! Super AWESOME! Having to get a smog check is just one more thing to try to squeeze into our busy lives & hopefully before DMV deadlines. Let's be frank - it's just a pain. Speedy Smog made what was a painful responsibility into a surprisingly fast and low cost experience. Their website has a $30 off coupon & cost less than $60 total! Plus, I was in and out of there VERY quickly! A couple months ago I took my mom's car her favorite smog place & was charged about double what Speedy Smog charged me, didn't have a comfortable place to sit & wait inside like Speedy Smog had, and we had to wait about an hour or more to get the job done, while Speedy Smog took a fraction of that time. I was so impressed, I came home and wrote this review. Thank you Speedy Smog, Andrew & Sergio for exceptional smog services! I highly recommend getting your smog check at Speedy Smog at the corner of Lewelling and Washington. read more

Speedy Smog - Here's what Speedy Smog looks like - Smog Check Stations Near Me - San Leandro, California

I went here with my family on 2/18. Song Park was quick and helpful. We were in and out in about 12 minutes. I drive a 2001 car, but it passed a smog test. The hours are solid. Mon-Fri 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.; Sat 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. A young guy showed up at 3:40. He was a little antsy because it was close to 4, but Song put him at ease. A-One Auto: I have to give Lei, the owner, some props. He directed us here (he also mentioned another business). A-One Auto is not STAR certified (I read some reviews beforehand, but still made a wrong assumption), and Lei was gracious enough to help us out without batting an eye. Smog Check: $79.75. Certificate: $8.25. TOTAL: $88. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/speedy-smog-san-leandro?select=hDYOQ5GiNW4nSlyvBHQNCg: Prices are higher, of course, for larger vehicles. It wasn't on, but there's a TV in the waiting room. There are also 6 chairs and a bunch of magazines. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/speedy-smog-san-leandro?select=8QJOh3Fk8lc_X-ZNIgMDzQ: There were 3 types of drinks in the fridge when we were here (bottled water; Coke; Sunkist Orange). If you pay by cash, you can take a drink for free. They are otherwise $1 each. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/speedy-smog-san-leandro?select=znyTxxvrpuSIA4PuP-TX9A: In most cases, a free retest can occur. When they're not free, they're 50% off. Song was professional and thorough. We will probably go here again in the future. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9uYF95jR_ME&ab read more

I called this place after being referred from another shop due to them being over booked and only one person to do smogs. The gentleman I spoke with quoted me a price and a wait time to come in of one and a half hours. This place cost $30 more than where I went plus the wait time would have hindered me from making it to DMV today. Just sharing my experience. read more

Came in for a smog check. Quick, to the point, good customer service. No complaints here - I recommend this spot if you need a smog check.

Owner fixed the issue. I'm JUST now seeing it I never use Yelp anymore. But highly recommend their services.

Super quick and DMV received my certificate very next day. Nice customer service and highly recommend.

They were speedy, they checked my smog, and I'll come back the next time I need to have it done!

Very nice technician and quick service. $88 out the door. Pay in cash and get a free beverage. Highly recommend!

Super easy, low stress, professional, quick. Can't ask for anything more. Will go here next time.

Just got my smog check today. The technician was extremely friendly and completed the service very quick!

Mention the online coupon right away! Trust me! I went here on a non-busy day so my service was super quick and pleasant. I was in and out in probably 15-20 minutes. Knocking off some stars because it's expensive for a smog check and their online coupon rules feel a little deceptive. I realized midway through the smog check there was an online coupon for $30 off but that you had to mention it before the invoice is made, but cmon, if the customer found the coupon, why not honor it? Why not mention the coupon too? Even a big chain like Jiffy Lube has always tried to save me money with coupons! Online it says it's kind of a logistic thing with the system, but I'm not a big fan of charging a high price that you can lower with a coupon that you have to research and mention at the right time. Not a fan of businesses trying to charge you as much as possible when they know they can save you money! To be fair I didn't look into the place before going there so now I know to go somewhere else. read more

I've been to this place a few times and if there aren't too many people waiting it's not too bad but if there are already 2 cars in the garage area and the parking lot in front is mostly full, go another day it will be a long wait. I went a few weeks ago to get a smog check but my car did not pass because the OBD was not ready. Meaning the car's electronics need to be reset because the battery had died and all the power drained so none of the electronic had electricity to run, and when you put in a new battery all the electronic are basically back to factory reset. I did not know any of this until I did some research on the internet. It would have been nice if the person had told me basically what I would need to do to reset it. Instead he told me I had to go to mechanic who specializes in smog repairs and he could not recommend any, something about conflict of interest. I'm scrambling looking for a mechanic because my registration expiration is June, and luckily one of them told me what I needed to do (a couple wanted quite a bit of money for them to "fix" it and they couldn't guarantee success.). Next time if I need a smog check I'll do it earlier just in case I need to get something fixed instead of scrambling around and worrying about being late and getting a possible ticket. Luckily I was able to get the OBD ready and it passes the smog test. I then go to the DMV kiosk at Pak-n-Sav to get the sticker but it says I need a smog check. What??? Seems you have to wait at least 24 hours before getting the sticker at the kiosk because the information has not been updated in the DMV database (at least that's what I'm assuming). However a couple years ago when I had the smog check, and passes, I immediately went to AAA and got the sticker so I do not know what changed since then. Anyway, I go a couple days later to the kiosk and it says it couldn't get a sticker because it's in the process at the DMV. I'm a little confused so I go to Speedy to ask about whether the information was sent to the DMV. He said yes and that he told me that it would take 24 hours before it's in the DMV computer. Sorry...you did not tell me it would take 24 hours before I could get a sticker, otherwise I would not have gone to the kiosk. Now I have to wait about 2 weeks for the sticker because it took DMV a week to sent it out from the day the car passed the smog test (I found this out when I went to AAA to ask about getting the sticker from them.). Overall, if you don't have any issues with your car passing it's a decent place. But once it does have issues you don't really get much help from the person. At least that was my experience. read more

Fast and friendly. I was greeted seconds after I stepped out of my vehicle. Good AC inside. Free wifi available. Only took a few minutes for them to finish with my vehicle. I didn't even get a chance to play any games on my phone. read more

Bit pricey but fast and quick. Was able to do both cars in one day with no wait. Opens early too.

Speedy Smog in San Leandro was awesome in servicing two of my vehicles on the same day. In this day and age, I prefer to do things online. I live in South Hayward, CA. I did a Google search for "smog test near me" and it found Speedy Smog. To my delight, I saw that they had an online appointment calendar. I quickly made two appointments on a Saturday...one at 3:30 p.m. and one at 5 p.m. Turns out they close at 4 p.m. on Saturday but they took me anyway in good faith (awesome! ... they will fix the online calendar error for Saturday). The attendant was quite friendly and honored the internet coupon for a super awesome price (the money I saved I used to buy a tire iron and a 2 ton car jack at Pep Boys ~$60 ... ahhh, but I digress). Each vehicle passed the smog and they certainly were speedy! I highly recommend Speedy Smog in San Leandro, CA for all of your smog test needs. read more
