Best service I've ever received for anything car-related…read more And some of the best service I've ever received. In Alaska, having a busted-ass windshield starts as a right-of-passage, and then quickly becomes a way of life. There is just too much damn gravel up here! Gravel on the roads to act like a crampon for your tires in the winter, then long gravel roads to get to remote Alaska destinations in the summer! I've been driving with a monster crack for well over a year. I dread the price to get it replaced, I dreaded getting it replaced and immediately getting blasted with gravel again. Finally I bit the bullet. I priced it out on Safelite's website and...it was almost a THOUSAND dollars. :( This was without insurance, because I was I pretty sure my insurance wouldn't cover the windshield outside of the standard $500 deductible. Why file a claim to pay $500 anyway? But, upon seeing nearing 1k, I figured, "Why not?" I went to my insurance website and...it was only going to set me back $50, and Safelite was going to come to my work and do the job? What?! I have Geico, and I had no idea my policy included this. I suggest you check yours. Hell, it might be worth factoring in windshield coverage next time you're shopping for insurance! I scheduled an appointment through Geico, and Safeway contacted me soon after. I couldn't get an appointment for a few weeks but, they told me the windshield should be there on Monday and to give them a call and see if they can move the appointment up. I did, and they did! Their communication was strong and effortless. I got a text message (complete with photo) when my tech, Kyle, was on his way. Kyle showed up and was super friendly and explained everything well. In a few hours, I had a brand-new windshield! The whole process was frictionless and easy, I was bowled over. Now I can finally get back to being anxious for when the next gravel-missile is going to detonate on my brand new windshield! Thank you Safelite and thank you Kyle! (oh, and Geico too!)

I called back immedilately because I was just down the street and they didn't even pick up. I got here at 5:11 pm and nobody was here. they don't even have a voicemail for me to leave a message and now I'm stuck here on the street and have to pay for a $60 cab ride home. what a crock of horse poo. this place and the people suck. no customer service what so ever. I'm never using safelite for any vehicle I or my company own and am telling everyone I know not to use them if they ask about windshield repair.

The photos speak for themselves. During the installation, the glass was damaged, and the motorhome's paint and fiberglass were damaged around the window. There are visible gouges and areas where the finish has been scraped away. The window trim was also left without proper caulking, leaving the job looking unfinished and raising concerns about potential water intrusion. I do want to be fair to Kyle, the manager. Once I brought the problems to his attention, he was understanding and arranged a warranty repair. I appreciate him taking the issue seriously and trying to make it right. Unfortunately, the solution means I now have to take my motorhome to another shop to have the glass and paint/fiberglass damage properly repaired. That's incredibly frustrating. I brought the coach in to have a window professionally installed--not to have it returned with additional damage that requires another company to repair. The workmanship on the original installation was simply not acceptable for an expensive motorhome. Damaging the glass, paint, and fiberglass and leaving the trim improperly finished is not professional work. Kyle deserves credit for trying to address the situation, but the fact that the coach now requires work from another shop says a lot about the quality of the original installation. If you're having a window installed in your motorhome, inspect the work very carefully before leaving the shop.

After losing our mom the day before Thanksgiving, our family was completely devastated. In the…read moremiddle of grieving, we had to begin the difficult process of preparing her home to be sold. It felt overwhelming, especially with two broken windows -- one from the windstorm a few months back -- that needed immediate attention. I called Randy Whitting hoping we could at least get the windows boarded up and receive a quote for replacements. Randy and Derek Thomas came out promptly and handled everything with professionalism and kindness. Derek completed the measurements and provided a clear, fair quote, which gave us one less thing to worry about during an already painful time. On 2/13/26, Donovan Komakhuk and Joe Evans arrived -- even ahead of schedule -- to replace both windows. From start to finish, they were absolutely wonderful. The install went smoothly, and they worked together like a well-oiled machine. They made sure we did a full walkthrough and felt comfortable with everything before they left. What could have been another stressful task during a heartbreaking season turned into one of the most pleasant and seamless experiences we've had. Their teamwork, professionalism, and genuine care truly meant more than they probably realize. We will absolutely be returning customers and highly recommend this entire team to anyone needing window replacement. Thank you all for making a hard time just a little bit easier.
