He called, Will said he was on his way be here in 20 Minutes. 2. Showed him the rock chip/crack, said he'd fill it and clean and inspect the window, making sure there were no other chips. 3. 10 minutes he was done! Super Fast! 4. Called Safelite AutoGlass yesterday to get an appointment to have my windshield replaced on my FJ & they said they could come to my work site to replace it the next day!! Then later in the day I received a call from a very nice lady & asked if I could bring my FJ to their shop since it is a more difficult windshield to replace, I said I would have to change the appointment due to work schedule. I then received a call a little later & Safelite was able to get their experts to come to my job site since I could supply a covered building. I would give zero stars if i could. After my vehicle failed shipping inspection due to broken glass. I booked my appointment with them 2 and a half weeks ago And rescheduled my ship date. "KAYLEN" called me two business days before my appointment just to tell me they can't get the glass. After i was transferred to "TRAIVS" who then said they been trying to get ahold of the dealer for the past two weeks. And on top of that they wouldn't honor they're price because they said the OEM glass changes in price significantly. I ask the price difference and they said it's a lot which i didn't realize a lot is a number. So I'm assuming it was to much to tell me. Supposedly the parts lady KAYLEN was in charge of getting parts but didn't do so till two days before the appointment and TRAVIS wouldn't honor the original price. I should have just went with the other companies out there at least they were honest and said there's not a glass in town and it needs to be shipped out. With them i at least got a price. But with safe lite i had a discount code to save $50 and trying to save $50 failed and caused me to have to wait even longer. Now i have to rebook my vehicle shipping day once again. I highly don't recommend safelite. Yes i know they are a bit cheaper but i would still call other glass companies and they will probably price match them. There's a lot of glass companies out there like speedy auto glass, Badger glass, need glass and ETC. at least with them they are upfront honest and get back to you the same day. Not two week later! It seemed like they were going to do the same to me as the other bad review. My original quote on the glass was $400 and they wouldn't tell me the price difference. They probably going to fix it and give me the major price difference and tell me the glass is already in and that i had to pay. read more

The actual service of the vehicle started only about 15 minutes after it was scheduled, which is pretty good considering this place like all places is short staffed. The actual repair was very fast and again I'm happy, I wasn't expecting speed due to a shortage of employees, but the guys in there were moving fast and got it done in the time quoted! I'm really disappointed with the service I've received. The technician was extremely helpful and kind on the phone. My car was broken in to and I needed a window replaced. I worked a 14 hour shift and got home around midnight to discover they had left grease/dirt covered paper towels in my driver seat, as well as not placed all of the covers back on the inside of my door. They did vacuum the glass (for which I'm grateful), but I do expect that they'd actually put my door back together and not leave more trash inside my car---especially for $340. Fast to get me in. Came out and told me they wouldn't install the window for me because there was a spec of surface rust from a previous rock chip. They told me it wouldn't be safe to install because the window was rusted out. what a load of crap. We've had 2 windows replaced by them and both times they left a mess of broken glass in our cars. The first time we complained about it and the guy came back to vacuum out our car. After he left we checked it and there was still glass everywhere! Very disappointed with the mess that they leave behind in our cars. They are quick and show up when they book you but they need to really work on the big glass messes they leave behind. We have 2 dogs that could easily get injured by all the broken glass left everywhere in the car. read more

Great experience! Had my vehicle there today to have the windshield replaced. Quick drop-off with Matt, he thoroughly explained the replacement process and asked if I had any questions. Quoted install time of 1.5-2 hours. One hour later I got a call from Matt saying my vehicle was ready to go. I went back to the shop and was greeted by the manager, Travis. He said the replacement went perfectly, advised me of a few things to avoid during the first 24 hours to allow the sealant to fully cure, and I was on my way! They even cleaned all of my windows/mirrors and vacuumed the front floorboards - now that's quality service. Having recently purchased a used car with a "very used" windshield, I called a number of places to get the windshield replaced. I only gave Safelite one star because I can't give zero stars. I had a back window break, and Safelite was the only glass company that could get that glass in less than three weeks. They did vacuum the broken glass out and crash-taped the window, so I was grateful for that. I live in a small remote community 300+ miles away from the shop, but I drove back in to get the glass replaced. The glass was fine, but the install was horrible! The molding was bulging out in places and shoved all the way into the vehicle in another spot, leaving the lower edge of the glass exposed. The customer service "manager", Kate, told me to use a credit card or plastic knife and push the molding into place myself, after I sent her photos of the shoddy workmanship. Safelite said they would fix it, but I had to bring the car to them - another 600+ mile round trip. They would not pay for my days off work or my gas to drive back in to get the work done, even though they were the ones responsible for the awful work to begin with. They refused to pay anyone locally for doing the work, although I offered that as an option. Travis, a scheduler, told me that I have to bring the car in to the shop of their choice, and that the whole issue was my fault because I chose them to do the work. He said the contract specifies that warranty work has to be done by Safelite (so they could mess it up again?), and I reminded him that the contract also specifies that the work will be done in a professional manner, which it was NOT, thus Safelite already broke the contract. I will have to pay a local company out of pocket to get the install done correctly, and Safelite, of course, refuses to reimburse me because customer service is low priority for Safelite. DO NOT USE SAFELITE!!!! Their promises are empty and you will be left holding the bag. DO NOT USE SAFELITE!!!! read more

So be very very cautious....I called this morning because I had a chip in my Windshield. They estimated the price to be $170 and that I would need to wait a week. I was fine with the price but had just recently gotten the chip so I decided to call around. I found another company called Novus glass and they immediately fixed my windshield for only $59. On top of having to make 3 appointments totaling 3 weeks of delay, we had to buy a new rearview mirror because the technician couldn't reinstall the old one after he removed it. A huge rock hit my windshield with a sizeable crack. I called safelite and was able to get in within an hour. The staff on the phone and at the office were all exceptional and nice. I got a discount on the phone and then since I was paying out of pocket because my insurance wouldn't cover it, the office staff gave me another discount. The discounts were unexpected, but very much appreciated! Within 2 hours from getting my crack, I was back out and driving with a vacuumed car and new windshield wipers. My wife's rear window in her car was broken and needed to be replaced. They got the window replaced in fairly fast time but they did not vacuum the car out correctly, just what was visible on the seats, they did not get the glass that fell between the rear seats. they also only cleaned the side windows and the back one but didn't clean the front. it seems that they rushed to get the window replaced but didn't care to clean the car correctly after. I am disappointed because I have heard good things about them which is why I took the car there. I had to clean the remaining glass myself so my dog would not be injured by it when we fold the seats down for her. read more

I have had one job done with them before this time and it was like this one, professional and fast. The difference between the last time and this time is that I paid cash instead of through my insurance. They first quoted me at $154 to do a total replacement window on my passenger side. So when the tech came to do the service I handed him the keys and within 45 mins he was done. When he handed me the bill it was $483. I told him that wasn't the agreed amount and I wasn't going to pay for that. He seemed caught off guard and excused himself to speak with his supervisors. After a 10-15 mins call with his managers, he came back apologizing that they couldn't give me the original quote and he only was able to get it down to $189. ? How is the price going to increase $329 from one day to the next, and how are you going to be able to "magically" bring back down the cost $294 almost $300? After only a 15 min call with your boss? Scam? My only recommendation is that you pay attention to what their original quote is and what they try to charge you. read more
