After lots of online research, I ended up right around the corner from our new house at MC Hair Salon and in the hands of Miss Claudia. She is FANTASTIC. She's the tomato soup to my grilled cheese sandwich. She's the marshmallows to my hot chocolate. She made me instantly feel comfortable, and her skills did not disappoint one bit! I told her what I was looking for with my haircut, and it was EXACTLY what I asked for. I was nervous when she suggested to cut more than I was planning to, but TRUST IN MISS CLAUDIA! My hair is SUBSTANTIALLY healthier and happier. All the layers but not too many. She didn't thin my hair or use a razor on it. She didn't use a ton of product when giving me my simple blowout at the end and it was just naturally flowy and FUN. As I was leaving the gentleman waiting for her agreed she was THE BEST. My first time in I told them I wanted something new and that they had free reign and I ended up with the hairstyle I've now kept for the last 6 months. I've never gotten more compliments on my hair then after leaving 1962. They give scissor, clipper, and straight-razor cuts all in one with the most care and attention I've ever received. They also seem to know all the local and returning customers and are incredibly friendly with everyone who comes in. It's worth getting a hair cut just to hang out there, I've even been while a guy was just playing guitar for all the customers. This barber shop has gotten a customer for life in me and I can't recommend them enough.
