I got the basic and it was only $53 plus tax, which is pretty decent for a drive thru oil change. They're super accommodating and you can stay in your car the whole time. The shop appears to be clean and organized. I didn't even have to wait at all for my car to be serviced, and they topped off my antifreeze, windshield wiper fluid, and power steering fluid. My car was towed to this location because a tire purchased from Pep Boys in September 2024 developed a sidewall bubble, a known safety defect that can cause sudden blowouts. Johnny W acknowledged the tire needed replacement but gave me constantly changing timelines -- first Wednesday, then Friday, then Monday -- without providing any tracking, order number, or real explanation. When I asked for basic order or shipment information, Johnny repeatedly refused to investigate. He told me this was not his normal store and he could not see my warranty in the system. I offered to provide my Pep Boys invoice and warranty by email, and he stated he did not want to "try to figure out the email password" to access it. In other words, he refused to verify a valid Pep Boys warranty even when I had the documentation. I also asked about a store-to-store transfer, since I confirmed the exact tire was available at other Pep Boys locations. Johnny explicitly refused, stating he was not willing to arrange pickup because the tire was "11 miles away." Instead, he chose to order from the warehouse -- the slowest possible method -- leaving me without my vehicle in freezing weather. A manager at another Pep Boys location (Mike at Brickyard Mall) later confirmed that store-to-store transfers are routine and usually take only a few hours, and he personally arranged the transfer that Johnny would not. Johnny was dismissive and uncooperative on the phone and even disconnected my call when I asked for an update. When I later arrived in person with my sister and brother-in-law, his demeanor changed completely -- suddenly my car was ready and the tire had been installed, information he had not previously shared.
