Best gas station in town, way better than those other places in Defiance that remind you of inner city corner store bodegas. You know, the ones that sell glass tubes with bowls on the end but swear they're not for meth use. Spoiler alert: They're for meth use. The general manager waited on me one day when I bought some wings, which by the way are probably better than Buffalo Wild Wings, at least on one of their bad days. Anywho she greeted me when I walked in with a smile and friendly tone, probably hiding her suicidal thoughts from having to run this place practically on her own, she was hospitable nonetheless. I grabbed a fountain pop that tasted way better than that one place that has a K in the middle of a circle, can't remember what it's called but the employees there are lazy and make you use self checkout. I'm getting off topic again sorry. We did the transaction and I went out to my car to scarf down the wings I just bought. I got the barbecue flavor traditional wings. They seriously tasted like some homemade wings right off the grill at my buddy Jamal's place. Dude can throw down on making some wings I'm telling you what. I went back in to grab some more for home and once again, greeted from behind that thousand yard "I've seen some shit" state was the manager. We talked for a few minutes about how lazy kids are these days while my next order of wings cooked in the oven. We don't live in ohio, but if we did I'd stop by and grab a coffee and gas and such. They are simple they have what you need and get you in and out in a few moments. If your not a visitor at a speedway well you should give it a try you won't be disappointed. read more

I stop here from time to time when traveling the two-by-four (US-24). Their fuel prices are consistently low, allowing me to 'top it off' whenever I pass by. But, there were absolutely no paper towels at the pumps this afternoon. This became evident when my fuel tank burped and sent gasoline belching out of the filler neck, with no way for me to clean it up. Had I seen paper towels in the trash, I might have been a little forgiving, but there were no towels to be found anywhere on the fuel island. Right at the exit off of US-24. read more

Wow. What a miserable experience. No iced tea to be found anywhere in this place on the day I visited, and the bottled water selection was equally poor. You know those scenes in Season 1 of The Walking Dead, whenever they'd go into a store? That looted, ransacked look? That's the image that came into my head as I walked through this place. I love Speedway! They have a super rewards program and consistent quality drinks and snacks. The cashier was very nice and I talked to another employee who was gleefully pulling trash. The bathroom was messy but seriously, it's impossible to keep clean at busy locations. Good gas prices, good staff, and good drinks/snacks. Well done Speedway, I salute you! read more

I worked here for a short period of time, and was fired for absolutely no reason at all. I wasn't even given a reason. I'm not writing this bad review because I was fired I'm just trying to warn people of how disgusting it is there. Sense I had worked there I got to be in the back where we prepare food and clean supplies and so on. It is absolutely filthy back there gunk all over the floors and THAT's WHERE THE FOOD IS MADE! It's so nasty back there we have this one little counter we put food on and I don't think I've ever seen anyone clean it. Plus all the cleaners even for the bathrooms seem to look a lot like window cleaner. And when you can clean the mirrors with the same stuff we clean the toilets with that's saying a lot. Pus the service and people are so mean. I saw a coworker talk nice to a guy who got gas all over him as soon as he walked out she bad talked about him. This place is not friendly nor sanitary. Also the roller grill where the hot dogs sit they only clean with some water just to wipe it off and the sneeze guard around it I was trained to put it on the nasty floor to clean it. read more
