I really love this office. I've been coming here for months now and it's become one of the few self-management things I look forward to weekly. Dr. Linh has helped me so much with overall stress management and now with healing my right shoulder. My favorite combo is the cupping followed by acupuncture with the heat lamps. It definitely takes a month or two to see results, but I wanted to try the holistic approach instead of relying on any pills. The office itself is very no-frills, which I actually appreciate. The two ladies working the front desk are so efficient and keep the place organized cuz it does get really busy. Consistency is key here! I don't have insurance, but compared to other places, the 10 package deal here is a steal! If you're going to spend money on something, it should be your health. read more

I've been to see Dr. Nguyen a few times and I can honestly recommend him highly. i had locked mobility in my arms where i could NOT LIFT both more than 2 inches from my waist. I injured my right rotator cuff from working out. I needed to see Dr. Nguyen because they helped my wife before. As I remember he's only in the office Tues, Thurs, and Sat. Very simple to make an appointment just need to call the office. He checked my right shoulder and knew right away that it was really stiff and knotted, but no serious injury. First he placed the cups then the needles to fix my shoulder. Once done, he would massage my shoulder. I went about 2 sessions and just a few days my shoulder was healing. This review is long overdue. I first came here for my sciatica. I was in so much pain daily and medication didn't work. This was my last resort before surgery and I'm so happy I tried it! I cannot say enough about how great Dr. Linh is at healing my mental stress, cold, allergies, fatigue, and even weight loss. Yes, he does all this and more. I've been going to him since '09, but the last few years I haven't visited him until I am in dire need. Well, the last few months I have been visiting him again bc of my lack of sleep, stress levels, and pounding headaches (really rare), that I decided I need some help fast. So, of course I ran to him and he looks at me and checks my heart beat and names all my issues. He's kinda like a psychic reading your mind, but instead reading your heart rate and just understanding the ailments. How? I don't quite understand he's been doing this for almost 20 yrs! He locates certain meridian points on each individual. There was about 7-10 needles he inserts it feels like a little prick (I hate needle and pass out when they draw blood, but this pain is quick and tolerable). He leaves it there for roughly 10-15 minutes and I lie still, sometimes knocking out from a good nap to be snapped back or un-prick. I'm always better each time I leave the office. Sometimes you go home with a bag of leaves to make fresh tea. Anyways, try him out and you will be glad you found a naturopathic doctor! I recommended him to my friends and family. My shoulders were damaged and not evenly due to carrying heavy things on my shoulders while working on a field at young age. For many years, from time to time it was tense and hurt. Update: I see Dr. Linh from time to time for various needs and am always impressed by how he immediately gets to the core of an issue, makes a vast improvement relatively quickly and provides me with whatever herbs etc. that make a huge difference. Such a better solution than typical "western" medicine. As far as Stephen's review, when he goes to traditional (western) medical facilities, doesn't he have a co-pay? Maybe he's lucky and it's only $10, but for most people it's $25-35. Should you have gotten distinct answers for your billing? Yes. Should you have asked your own insurer? Yes Should you be happy that you paid $30 per session instead of $80 or more per session? Dr Linh Nguyen has been my savior for the past 2 years. Let me see...first time I came to him was when I slept the wrong way and couldn't move my neck. He healed me fast, I feel 200% better after the first session, came 2 times and I was back to normal the next day. Then I took up kickboxing and crossfit at the same time, this is when the problem started to arise. I sprained my ankles twice and both times, Dr Linh fixed it for me. I went back doing 24 inches box jumps on my crossfit session after sprained it a week before because of Dr Linh. Then I took up Muay Thai, this is another level of soreness & pain altogether. I practiced Muay Thai clinch and sure enough, the next day I couldn't move my neck again. So of course I called Dr Linh right away. He then suggested why don't I come to see him more regularly to prevent injuries because I always came to see him when situation was dire. So I did, I've been seeing him for the past 3 or 4 months. I still do my Muay thai & kickboxing and feel soreness here and there but nothing dire has happened. When I showed him the bruises on my shins for kicking thai pads & bags, he gave me chinese rubbing solution that really help to keep the swelling down. I am glad that I have Dr Linh as my workout routine truly take a beating on my body (though I love it). I recommend my friend to see Dr Linh because she said she got severe headache every so often. She told me that she feels better just after one treatment with him. The best part is that my insurance covers my treatment and as long as I am staying active doing my workouts & Muay Thai, I will continue to see Dr Linh to ensure that I treat my muscles & soreness the right way as well as preventing dire injuries as it happens to most martial arts students. read more

Ha! This is awesome, I didn't even think about looking up Dr. Linh on here. He is an amazing ray of sunshine....if acupuncture is hype according to some peeps at least the faux therapy is more than enjoyable. I used to go every other week for a while but it's to expensive for my current budget. Don't get me wrong he is affordable compared to other places and he is genuinely devoted to helping people out purely for the joy of it. He gives you Chinese herbs and medicine along with your treatment and the occasional chiropractic adjustment. I saw him mainly for allergies...He can cure anything. Man after a couple of bad spills snowboarding with some sore muscles he can work it out. And if you are on the verge of getting sick, he can exorcise those bad vibes right out. I have work related shoulder problems and Dr. Linh is definitely amazing. I have known Dr. Linh for 8 years now. I first started going for a shoulder problem which he helped me to recover from, and now, years later he is helping me with my other shoulder and "Tennis Elbow" and I am doing much better now after only 8 treatments so far. Incidentally I do have Kaiser but when I go to the "Physical Therapy Dept" their treatment is seriously inferior as compared to Dr. Linh. I would much rather pay out of pocket for his more efficacious services than to go through the scheduling hassles at Kaiser and waste my time on minimal (if any) results. I can clearly see what is meant by "Speed Healing". Ligaments and tendons take a long time to heal but he has it down to a science! read more

So my "treatment" is done and my final bill came out to be $30 a visit. My insurance would not cover this kind of treatment so I had to pay out of my pocket. It would be nice if I was told of the price before going through five months of treatment. I would ask for the price on many occasions and he would always talk around it and say "don't worry..." or "I'll take care of it...". I thought I was going to get a good deal. My mistake... My "treatment" came out to be $30 a visit for about 20 visits which came out to about $600. Hardly a good deal and I definitely don't feel as if I was "taken cared of". If I knew of the expensive price beforehand I wouldn't have extended the treatment as he suggested. I probably won't return. He is definitely a nice guy but my pockets aren't deep enough to accommodate his prices. My advice is to get a firm price prior to beginning any treatment. Do not assume anything and check with your insurance company prior to seeing him. read more

Great experience here! My wife had never tried acupuncture and was a bit nervous and they made her feel comfortable. Best of all they were able to help me with my shoulder and her with a knee issue. Dr. Linh Nguyen is basically our family acupuncturist. I've been to him several times throughout the years. Once was for pain management while a very bad sprain was healing. Most recently, he's been helping to improve the blood flow to my muscles - and I can definitely tell the difference (running, etc. is less painful). Dr. Linh Nguyen is fantastic, and very personable. I think he's a great healer, and has a very gentle nature about him. I encourage anyone who is open to alternative medicine and looking for an acupuncturist to to give him a try. I think his prices are also very reasonable. Not sure what insurance they take, I tend to just pay out of pocket because my insurance doesn't cover it. I have some acquaintances who see other acupuncturists and they pay a lot more, but I don't think there is any difference in the quality of care. I believe they've also added a massage therapist to the staff recently. read more

Dr. Linh is amazing! I developed carpal tunnel on both of my wrist as well as neck and should pain after having twins. I had weekly treatments for 6 months. Treatments included 30 minutes of acupuncture and 30 minutes of physical therapy (deep tissue massage). He has incredible massage therapists. They really worked on my stubborn knots. My carpal tunnel was treated and with exercise I don't have the neck and shoulder pains any more. I still go back once in awhile for the amazing deep tissue massage. read more

So relieved!!! I was in so much pain that I got stranded in the bathroom for almost an hour until my husband got home to help me up. Dr. Linh relieved the pain by 25% in just the first visit. I had leg pain for over 3 months. Kaiser podiatrists said it is Achilles Tendonitis. Said I should be back to normal by 6 weeks prescribed pain killers and apply ice pack. Even after taking pain killers and 10 physiotherapy visits no signs of getting better, pain killers were just masking the pain. Kaiser suggested Acupuncture but 3 months wait to get appointment. Seen Dr Nguyen as I do not wait too long, he has in-depth knowledge of the body. I usually asks so many questions lot of doctors won't give satisfactory answers to me. Dr Nguyen is so energetic and answers any question you have. He clearly explained when to apply ice pack and when to apply hot pack, where as Podiatrists told me apply ice only. I stopped pain killer day I visited Dr Nguyen. Dr Nguyen recommended 10 sessions, so far I have completed 7 and I am almost normal. He recommended Foam roll to flex my tight muscles, I am not sure why physiotherapist did not recommend this Foam roll. I recommend any person with acute pains to see Acupuncture therapist not to waste money and time and not to take pain killers which might have side effects.
