Wrote name on clip board & filled form, advised to wait. I don't speak Chinese but all staff and patients do. Saw several people, come in, walk out , go in to back exam rooms while I waited. At least 10 15 minutes then I was called in by female, who did quick assessment on my intake form I filled out at front desk, then advised me to remove top and put gown and leave pants on. Male dr? Came in, assessment & vitals done , reviewed my medical form I filled out then said to lie face down on massage table, said he's going to place needles in certain areas and use heat and stimulation to back, My ailments were plantar fasciitis to Left foot, low back pain. He put needles in left foot, low back and right wrist which I didn't mention but I do have a carpal tunnel like pain. Not sure if he noticed or just a regular placement of needles. But after 5 years it was still a rollercoaster of eczema coming and going and getting very severe at times, making it hard for her to sleep at night. I came here and she used a combination of acupuncture using some electric hand held thing (instead of needles), and some method to decrease her flare ups which I won't describe here because I think you just have to try it. Now a lot of the foods and things that caused flare ups are much less severe. It'll help if you know what causes the flare ups (ex: foods, heat, pets, etc). From the very beginning, Dr. Huang has been incredibly attentive, always asking thoughtful questions about my progress and genuinely caring about my well-being. You can tell he's highly experienced and truly passionate about what he does. I first started seeing him when I found out I was pregnant. Acupuncture helped me tremendously throughout the pregnancy--reducing swelling, relieving back pain, improving sleep, and even helping with constipation (a common and frustrating issue during pregnancy). Emotionally, I felt much more balanced, which I know made a big difference for both me and my baby. When I learned I had to be induced early, he supported me through that process as well. Postpartum, he's continued to help me--especially with emotional regulation, sleep, and overall recovery. During one visit, he even gave me ear magnets to help me relax, which I really appreciated. He's also very flexible with scheduling, and it's easy to see how much he wants his patients to succeed. I believe so much in the benefits that I even convinced my husband to start seeing him--because honestly, I think everyone can benefit from getting their meridian lines balanced, even if you don't know much about acupuncture (like me!). In the past I have sent referrals to Washington hospital for Imaging and it was denied unless the primary care provider at Washington wrote the prescription.
