I saw her regularly for about 3 months, including following her advice and drinking herbs, and became pregnant at 3 months of seeing her!! Really! I have been to previous acupuncture businesses over the years for various other things. Acupuncture really works! I have been to one other fancy & pricey acupuncture business last year, but was not happy with their intense vibe and approach, so I highly recommend traditional Chinese medicine such as at this office. My husband and I have been coming to see Dr. Fu and Dr. Wong for about 3 years now, and they have made the biggest difference in our health. As a previous nurse practitioner, I know quite well the benefits and limitations of modern medicine. My husband would get these colds on and off (like literally every 2 weeks in the winter sometimes) and the recommended Western medicine regimen can only help marginally. After just a session of Dr. Fu's acupuncture, cupping, and some herbal teas, he would bounce right back. The duration and frequency of these colds are also considerably shortened. I see Dr. Wong for an assortment of chronic ailments. The most memorable is when I had a bad case of acne on my face and back. I love Dr. Fu and Etta! They're a father - daughter team and do a great job! Their office is ridiculously clean and looks absolutely immaculate every time I come here. They have 4 or 5 rooms where patients are taken for their treatments. The rooms are well heated and very clean. Dr. Fu and Etta do a great job of accessing the problem and quickly address the issue using acupuncture. I recently came here for my shoulder pain. Etta figured out where the trouble points were and I was there for about 40 minutes during the treatment. She put the pin things in, then put an herbal medicine on top. They then attach some sort of device that send light currents through the pins. There's also a heat lamp that they put over the trouble area. Overall, it's a very relaxing experience. Etta's very careful when she does the treatment and is very gentle. Overall, I'm very impressed with both Etta and Dr. Fu and look forward to my future treatments. Even though the needles are still unpleasant, but Dr Fu and Wong have a way of relieving the anxiety. Went to Dr. Fu since my mom has had sciatic nerve pain for a while. Asked for a consult first so that I could explain the situation. Chatted with him for about 10 minutes and showed him the MRI findings so that he had a better understanding of the issue. He said he could do 7-8 sessions and he was confident that the nerve pain would get better. We went for all 8 sessions but nothing really changed and it didn't get better. And for every single session, he would always ask why we were there and what the problem was even though it was clearly explained during the consultation. So long story short, acupuncture didn't help. I think the biggest issue here is the language barrier. It's hard to understand and also explain what the issues are. We talked to the daughter in law and luckily communicating was easier with her. read more

I have to say, I had my own doubts about going here. I have had a weird growth over my left abdomen for a few months, of which I had examined by over 3 doctors. After each of them checked it out, plus an ultrasound, they just deduced it was an innocuous growth. Wrong - this was painful half the time, and I ran out of options. I was at the point where I was willing to do whatever to try and relieve the weird swelling an pain. This is where Yelp actually helped - I found this place and saw many of the testimonials and gave it a shot. I'll tell you, it somehow works! After reading the good reviews I decided to take my mother in law to acupuncture for her foot. She has been having foot problems for awhile now, and this time it got really bad to the point where she couldn't even go upstairs or move. So she has been lying in bed for a week and taking pain killers for the inflammation. The Dr at Kaiser had taken an X ray and said, " X ray if fine, you don't have a fracture, you have to wait till it goes away but here are a few pain killers, if it is still bad give us a call. (That is western medicine in a nutshell.) A little down she decided to come with me and give it a try. We were both skeptical. I figure if you are in pain and can't walk, why not give it a try. I picked her up and wheeled her into the car with the walker, and when we arrived I wheeled her into the exam room. The acupuncturist Dr. Fu and Etta both saw her and treated her very nice. They are both really nice people. They were sensitive to her pain and gave her acupuncture on her foot with electrodes and with herbs for about 25 minutes. Afterwards, she was able to use her walker and walk to the bathroom and back to the car on her own. There was still some discomfort, but the fact that she was able to use the walker right afterwards and walk with the walker was pretty amazing. She was instructed to cook and take 2 bags of herbs for faster healing and circulation. So we will see how that goes. I am suppose to bring her back again tomorrow morning for her 2nd appointment. The price point for the initial treatment is $85, then after that it is $75. Can be pricey but if it makes you feel better and allows you to function daily it is worth it. I am a fan! read more

I've been to this clinic twice in the past week. I randomly saw it while driving down Warm Springs one day, and recently cross referenced the Yelp reviews to ensure its legitimacy. After two weeks of dealing with the uncomfortability associated with asthma (and two Western med doctor appointments, as well as taking a shitload of meds), I decided to give the doctors at this clinic a shot -- it is actually the real thing with Chinese doctors and herbs and all. My first appointment was with Eta, and she was very warm and receptive to my concerns with the tightness in my chest, and after checking my pulse and looking at my tongue, she started a tx that involved placing the needles on the acupuncture points for opening the lungs. In (some types of) asthma, there is a deficiency of the kidney in pulling down the qi from the lungs, so there was also some work done along those lines. She also tied an electric stimulator from my ankle point to my chest point in order to enhance the treatment and flow of qi. To be completely honest, I was starting to feel like I was Frankenstein in the making but it was all good in the end. Later, after the Frankenstein experiment was over, and the needles were taken out, Eta explained the process of cupping. She had me turn over on to my stomach and rubbed some peppermint eucalyptus oil on my back and heated up glass cups (via a live torch) that were used as suctions to move the qi along the major meridians. It was totally painless and there were no marks left. After that process, she placed some black dots (I don't know what they are called) in my ears to press on whenever I feel tight in my chest. One was to activate the lungs, and one was for the kidneys. Per my departure, I was given two bags of herbs to boil and drink as tea. I tried to do so, but the smell and taste killed it. Second visit was yesterday with Dr. Fu, who was also very experienced. He added some additional points on my back for the acupuncture tx and also performed the cupping, which helped to alleviate the tension and free up the qi. He asked me if I had been taking the herbs and I scrunched up my nose and said, "No, I couldn't do it, they don't suit me," to which he replied, "Ok you take pills then. They will help you." So he gave me a bottle of natural herb pills which have been helping. He was very compassionate and attentive. Great service in this clinic. Etta is amazing! She did what 2 doctors and an allergist couldn't do, she helped my allergies become almost non-existent. I had terrible allergies and was spending so much on prescriptions which barely did anything to help. After a few sessions with Etta my symptoms decreased. Growing up as a child til now, I have always been afflicted with the skin condition called eczema. It got so bad to the point where my neck was covered in oozing rashes and I could barely swivel left to right without being extremely uncomfortable. In the winter, I came to Dr. Fu. I (being very suspicious of this sort medicine) gave this place a shot. It worked wonders. The treatment I went through consisted of electrotherapy, acupuncture, cupping, and rounds of herbal tea. This may be overwhelming upon reading, but trust me, Dr. Fu and his staff make you feel so comfortable (the needles do not hurt one bit). After acupuncture treatment and drinking a cup of their magical tea, my itching went down tremendously. It wasn't gradual, but a sudden and obvious difference and I felt way better. My skin began to clear up and all the eczema symptoms seemingly disappeared. It was amazing. Back to the staff their, the doctors are very intelligent. Probably equipped with a vast array of traditional Chinese medicine knowledge, they know exactly what ails you and the remedy to fix it. Ultimately, although this may be a bit on the pricy side ($90-170 price ranges were what I experienced), the experience of Fu Herbs is well worth the price of admission. I have been going to Dr.Etta for 2 months now for my stomach issues(burning, bloating), back pain, neck pain and TMJ issues. Dr.Etta is very knowledgeable and determined to solve my problems. I first went to Dr. Fu when I had broken my arm about 15 years ago. He gave me treatments while my arm was in a cast. After my cast was removed, my surgeon told me I would need physical therapy and demonstrated what I had to do to start the procedure. Very painful! I explained to the doctors here that I had gout. They told me to come in right away. They knew that I was in pain. I have not had acupuncture done for a while and lately had problems with neck pain related to my shoulder. I booked with Dr Ella Wong and she was excellent. My neck pain was completely gone. It has been over a week and I have not had any neck pain. She charged 130.00 for the first visit and 90.00 for each follow up. The price is a little higher than other places, but she fixed my problem. The only thing I did not like about the place was the strong herb smell. Maybe I was not used to it, Did no harm. I mostly went to Dr Etta Wong, she is very gentle and i would hardly notice needles went in) this place is extremely clean and appointments are super easy to schedule unlike some places where they do some 1st evaluation type of visit and charge u if u dont show up. She would take care of fertility points and also whatever else was bothering me ( like anxiety w those fertility medication treatments- turns out there is a point on head for anxiety... coming out after treatment so peaceful :) parking is easy unlike again some places I've been to. Everybody is great at that office,( his wife is usually at the front desk and she is wonderful).They both have helped me numerous times and always successfully. Dr. Fu was wonderful when I was pregnant with my little girl (at age 43) he helped me (with great kindness, knowledge and wisdom) before and during my pregnancy. His acupuncture sessions and magical teas made it possible for my body to be strong enough to deliver to full term, thanks to that, now I have a beautiful and healthy girl. I am a cynic. I trust very few things and I usually require proof before I believe anything. So, last summer when I re-injured my back, my wife suggested I see her Acupuncturist. Well, I wasn't able to stand up straight or walk properly so I had nothing to lose. After a brief exam with Dr. Fu, he was able to localize the problem and quickly developed a treatment plan. In my case, it was strategic acupuncture placement with electro-stim needles followed by cupping. Wow, Dr. Fu is so skilled I never even felt a pain as he put the needles in. And he was so gentle with the application of heat and electro stim. The cupping was a unique experience that I had never had before. But it worked. To be honest, I don't know how much he sped up my healing time. I'm sure I healed faster. But he made the pain so much more manageable. When I walked into his office I could barely even step over the curb I was so bent over in pain. By the time I left I was walking upright with very little pain. All I can say is, Dr. Fu did a great job. He provided results that really helped me out. Seriously awful. I went to see Dr. Fu after suffering through a month or two of horrible neck pain; I only wish I had gone to him immediately. To make a semi-long story short, I exacerbated a chronic neck injury (car accidents) and was nearly immobilized. After going to the doctor repeatedly (prescribed multiple anti-inflammatories, NSAID injections, and steroid injection) and physical therapy for a few months, things were getting a little better - until I hurt it yet again. Physical therapy/manipulation by an over-aggressive therapist resulted in severe migraines, and in desperation I went to see Dr. Fu (found through Yelp and open on Saturday). He got me in the same day. I took my mother in law (Chinese, very experienced with Eastern medical practices) to help and to assess Dr. Fu. She (and I) were very impressed. He relieved my migraine with the first treatment (Acupuncture, moving cupping and massage), and prescribed really horrible-tasting herbal tisane. Good lord, it was awful, but I was desperate and really wanted to improve. And I did. Over the next ~10 treatments, the neck pain was resolved, my range of motion is back/better than it has been in years, and no recurrent migraines. I felt so good, in fact, that I ended up hurting my wrist (carpal tunnel) painting my entire house. Dr. Fu fixed that, too. If you are suffering with chronic pain and need an alternative to drugs, try Dr. Fu. I can't say he can fix everything, but he's been a lifesaver for me. read more

Dr. Guo Fu is the real deal! I was also a skeptic about Acupuncture until I ran out of options for effective pain treatments other than surgery. I found Dr. Guo Fu in the Yellow Pages several years back, and he has treated me, my niece, and 97 year old grandmother for various ailments with astounding results. I have been a regular customer here for many years. From issues with skin allergies to other sports injuries, Dr. Fu has been great! I have had skin allergies since I was a child and was almost ready to give up on trying to get treatment. I decided to give Dr. Fu a shot and try my luck. Let me start by saying that "Dr. Etta Wong" is truly a "Blessing and an Angel of Good Health" from God. I believed only in English Medicines and did not believe in any kind of alternative medicines at all. My wife asked me to meet with Dr.Etta and after a lot of hesitation, I met with her. I am a patient of Neuralgia, a neurological condition. I am so happy that I met with her. English medicines do not cure the root cause of the problem, it only cures the symptoms.
