Both the RNs Adam and Christina and the anesthesiologist Steve were great. Adam was patient in finding the right vein for my IV and only needed to poke me once. While I would give the clinical staff 5 stars, the reason for 4 stars is that they seem less organized compared to Aspen. These issues below make the overall rating 3.5 stars but am going with 4 because of the staff. The big issue is that they didn't give me any preliminary results in my discharge instructions. When I've had GI procedures, preliminary results (including waiting for the biopsies when taken) are part of these instructions. Since the procedure, I've left 3 VMs and sent an email to Dr. Zheng's office to schedule a follow up to no avail (will leave a separate review). The discharge instructions from my colonoscopy at Aspen indicated what was found during the procedure. Also, when I called early last week to find out how long I should expect to stay at the surgery center, the receptionist couldn't answer that question and said she'll pass the message to my doctor's office. I don't understand how one can work at a surgery center but not tell patients approximately how long they can expect to stay. When I got a return call shortly after my call with the surgery center, it was from a different GI doctor's office where I'm not a patient. And this happened even though I gave the surgery center my name, DOB, and doctor's name. Front desk needs more training on their ability to answer common questions and check the orders so patients don't get calls from practices other than their own. Finally, I was not brought out in a wheelchair as is normally the case after surgeries and GI procedures. Fortunately, I was able to walk with no issues but would be dangerous for someone who was at a higher risk for failing. Would I come here again? Possibly, but only if Aspen has a significantly longer wait.

Even though I am dealing with various issues, Dr. Mallavaram has helped to improve my quality of life to the point where I could never have imagined. Upon discussing various burdens with Dr. Mallavaram, he offered me the services of a psychologist, with whom he shares the same office. Dr. Feder specializes in the relationship between the physical and emotional aspects of pain, and the maintenance of both. Dr Hasan is an excellent spine surgeon. He is meticulous, thoughtful, and kind. And he is a…read moremaster endoscopic surgeon - something that is far too rare in the U.S. Dr Hasan did an endoscopic decompression of lumbar stenosis at L4-L5 on me in Nov 2025. At the time, I couldn't stand or walk for more than about 5 minutes before I absolutely had to sit down because the pain in my glutes was so bad. I had several highly respected surgeons tell me that I absolutely needed a double fusion. I am a very active 72 yo guy who still plays singles tennis and skis blacks and double blacks. A double fusion would be 2 days of surgery, months of painful recovery, and over a year before I could ski again, and STILL a fairly high chance of failure! That sounded pretty horrible to me. Finally, I found Dr Hasan who is one of the few surgeons in California who does endoscopic spine surgery. The results were remarkable. First, there was absolutely ZERO pain from the surgery. No exaggeration. I literally didn't even take a Tylenol or NSAID after the surgery. I could hardly believe that I even had surgery. I was up and around the same day. And the pain when standing or walking immediately abated. I'd say it is now 80% to 90% better. I sometimes get cramping after a half hour to an hour of standing or walking, but even then it isn't debilitating and I can keep going if necessary. It's now below the threshold where I even notice it during a typical day. After the surgery, I took it easy for 6 weeks per Dr Hasan's instructions. I had to hold myself back because it felt like I could go back to sports right away. But he said it needed a few weeks for inflammation to go down. In January, 2 months after the surgery, I was back skiing and did about 50 days this year. It is so insane that spinal endoscopy is so unknown in the U.S. It is much more common in Europe, South Korea, etc. But in the U.S., the resistance of old school surgeons, the reluctance of hospitals to invest in the equipment, and the fact that insurance generally won't cover the surgeon's fees for endoscopy (because they STILL consider it "experimental") means that there are very few surgeons trained in spinal endoscopy. Dr Hasan is one of the most experienced in the technique and he trains other surgeons to do it. Yes, I had to pay Dr Hasan's fees out of pocket - insurance paid for all the facilities and other costs - but it was absolutely worth the few thousand dollars it cost me. Endoscopy is done through a wand not much bigger than a pencil with tiny little tools and cameras, so the only opening in the skin is a tiny puncture for the wand. Then the surgeon does everything by camera through the wand, like a video game except your spine is at stake! Really amazing technology and should be the standard of care. But if you want it, you're going to have to search for a surgeon who does it. Dr Hasan is one of the best.

I had a ruptured C6-C7 disc causing unbearable pain -- I was at a level 10 and relying heavily on pain medication just to get through the day. Dr. Hasan used a new technique involving a tiny incision from the back of my neck (not the front), with a small camera and precise tools to clean out the ruptured disc. The procedure was so efficient that I was able to go home the same day. The result was incredible -- immediately after surgery, my pain went from a 10 to 0. I didn't even need a single painkiller afterward. I had lost two months of my life to pain, and Dr. Hasan gave it all back to me in just a few hours. I highly recommend this surgery to anyone suffering from the same issue. The entire office staff, from Gezall to everyone involved, was caring, professional, and supportive throughout the process. For instance, last night I only slept 3.5 hours. I am not tired throughout the day but may get sleepy around bedtime. Maybe this is normal for me. My watch complains about my poor sleep quality. When I arrived the P.A. was extremely excited for me to visit and repeated this many times. She was oh so very very happy and excited for me to visit them and assured me multiple times that they would help me and extend my life. She was oh so very very happy I came to them and expressed how wonderful it was I was there. They would take care of me and help with my sleep issues. I opted for the home sleep study and they found mild sleep apnea. I selected the machine rather than oral insert or surgery. Nothing was found about my lack of sleep. That night I got to sleep at my usual time, 10pm and woke at 3am. I was so upset I texted the PA and noted that I need to go to another clinic to deal with this. She texted that she would escalate. Weeks later I had not heard anything about the machine but got a voicemail from someone named Steve. I returned his call and left a message with him. A woman called me back and seemed extremely agitated that I had called. Sometimes I don't read people correctly but she did seem upset and kept asking if I wanted to leave a message. I thought I had already done so but chose to do so again. I told Steve that I appreciated his call but I need help with why I cant sleep anymore and feel that I need to go to another clinic to deal with this. No one has called me back about the machine and I wanted to pursue it. This was a couple months ago. No one ever called about the machine. Steve never called me back. It is like I don't exist. I have been ignored.

"Tres Chic Blue Gowns--No Extra Charge!"…read more Well, no one likes those uncomfortable tests one must do every few years. But when it's your time, come here. I have been to Tresanti Surgical Center on several occasions, and each experience was a good one--well as good as can be expected, when they're shoving a--well you get the idea. On each occasion, the physician was Dr. F. Anderson Rowe. He's professional, friendly, and informative. Things have gone well on each occasion. After the procedure, the doctor gives you a summary of the findings. Then you make an appointment for more details. The highlight of my visit was wearing one of these funny blue costumes. Wearing these outfits is sort of a tradition--it must be taught by the professors at med school. They're functional, but not too outre (The outfits I mean, not the doctors.) You don't have to be seen in public wearing them. Only the nurses see you. After they wheel you into the operating room, the fun begins. You're laying down in the operating room and they put this oxygen mask on you. There's all these tubes and strange equipment hanging on the walls. I think some of the tubes go into your body. It's sort of like what you see at an oil change shop--but costs more. Plus at the oil change shop, hardly any of the tubes go into your body. I bet the same company makes the equipment for both businesses. As well as those blue costumes. Anyway, pretty soon they say, "Now take some deep breaths." This is a tradition throughout the medical industry. Anesthesiologists all over the world say that same phrase before every operation. Another thing they teach them at med school. I admit, it's possible that the order to "take a deep breath" was just a recording. I didn't really see anyone's lips moving. Next time I'm in there, I'm going to watch their lips. Just when they say, "Take a deep breath," the air begins to taste sort of funny. I'm pretty sure they put something into the oxygen. Next thing you know they're saying, "Hi, how are you feeling?" Yes, it really is that simple. I'm pretty sure I wrote this review during that "down time." During the crisis, they are extra careful. You first wait outside and phone them. Then a nurse comes out and checks you in. They're also careful to check your temperature and maintain social distancing. I appreciate the staff here being so careful with everyone. We all have to have those medical tests. This is a good place to have them done. I'm pretty sure they'll let you keep your cute little blue costume, if you ask them nicely. "Now, just take a deep breath and..."

Persistent Knee Pain After Multiple Surgeries…read more Last year, I underwent my first arthroscopy and partial meniscectomy with a different doctor at Golden State Orthopedics. Due to ongoing pain in my right knee after that initial surgery, I was referred to Dr. Elrashidy. Dr. Elrashidy initially recommended extensive physical therapy, and I completed at least 30 sessions. However the pain did not resolve, leading us to pursue a second surgery for Hoffa's Pad removal. It has now been three months since this second procedure, and I am still experiencing the same level of pain I had before the surgery. Concerns Regarding Post-Surgical Care Following my second surgery, I've had three follow-up sessions. However, Dr. Elrashidy has been absent from all of these appointments; his Physician Assistant (PA) has attended in his place. Dr. Elrashidy had assured me he would help manage my knee pain, but I feel he has become disengaged since the surgery. This situation is extremely frustrating.
