For example, I specifically requested upper-body work using NO elbow pressure, but those requests were often disregarded. They also glide against my back so much I felt bruised. I also found that the combination of deep tissue and Swedish massage was not performed effectively to work on the fascia and remove knots properly. Instead of experiencing relief, I frequently felt increased soreness and discomfort within an hour after leaving my appointment. I was also disappointed by an experience with red light therapy. Before booking, I asked how the treatment would be incorporated into the session and was told it would be used throughout the full 60-minute appointment and moved to different areas. In reality, it was only used for approximately 30 minutes before being set aside for the remainder of the session. However, once I mentioned the amount I planned to tip digitally, I was met with the comment, "Oh, the massage is not good enough?" which I found very unprofessional and awkward.
