I can't say enough good things about Speed A Way Smog. I brought my Jeep in for a smog test, but it didn't pass because the emissions system showed as "not ready." Instead of just turning me away, they took the time to explain that sometimes the system needs to complete its drive cycle before it can pass. They recommended I drive about 50 miles on the freeway and then come back to be retested. I ended up making several trips back over the next week. Each time, they welcomed me, retested it at no extra charge, and patiently helped me figure out what was going on. Even though the Jeep still wasn't ready, they never acted bothered or treated me like an inconvenience. Eventually, I discovered that I had a loose battery clamp, which was keeping the system from staying ready. Once I fixed that, I came back and my Jeep finally passed. Throughout the entire process, everyone at Speed A Way Smog was friendly, honest, patient, and incredibly helpful. It's rare to find a business that goes above and beyond like they did. I've never been to a cleaner automotive service facility. The gentleman at the counter who was busy with another customer,, immediately acknowledged our arrival and greeted us telling us "good morning, I'll be right we you". I've never had that treatment before. Most places, just look at you and say "what do you need". The service is amazingly fast and the technician takes his time explaining (if any) recommendations they feel necessary. I've had several members of my family go there and they think the same. My family members vehicle was damaged during a smog and no insurance information turned over for claim. Refusal to accept responsibility . They voided a $800 repair voucher by saying the vehicle did not pass smog and not telling him until the end that their tech drew damaged the vehicle by failing to put it into park before releasing it. My family member was told to settle for $500 cash out of insurance however the damage exceeded this amount. He then filed a claim thru his auto insurance and have yet to receive deductible refund due this repair shops unprofessional business practices. The manager Richard has promised several times to submit the insurance info and the owner Rusty is very unprofessional and rude, they damaged a vehicle and have not turned over the insurance information, NEXT step will be small claims court. Do not trust this shop to have your best interest or care about their customers experience. They'd rather haggle over a $250 insurance deductible. My family member who is out of a vehicle and home has to suffer because they refuse to do the right thing. read more

Dianne is nice, but it's almost nociably fake. I would not go here agaian, but I am also not welcomed back. The reason being is because, i was upset that she didn't explain the total balance of almost 700 dollars to me for the repairs, and for the smog to pass. She exspected me to sign first, befor discussing the paperwork. I'm telling you; right when i walked in, she was nice and asked how i was doing a couple of times and i replied "Not bad". Then she reached for the paperwork and said my car was good to go and all i had to do was sign.... i asked her to exsplain why the balance was that much and what all did they do. She told me she had already explained to me what they had to do to the car over the phone...'which was not the case, i was told over the phone that is was a valve that needed to be replaced. I told them i would talk to them more about it with them in person... and regardless, anyone who is signing any paper work, needs to be explained and not just be told to sign here and there befor seeing the amount or anything! I have to add that, yes they help me get set up with a program that paid for the repairs and smog and they used the hole amount that I qualified for. but i did not like how dianne was. she also was rude to me on the phone when i called to talk about how i was confused that my car passed the Engine smog at a different smog shop the day befor, and the reason why it failed there was because the fuel tank was temperd with! and Mitch at SpeedA way Smog, looked at it and tested my car and failed the engine but told me the fuel tank was fine..... when i told her my concerns and thoughts, she Immediately told me straight forward over the phone "well do you not want us to work on your car!" i was shocked and kindly said of corse i need my car fixed i just wanted to talk about the issue..! anyways yes my car is fixed and passed with a certificate, so i'm happy about that! but that's how my experience went. read more

Went to smog my 2001 ford and it passed the emissions test no problem but the technician fresh out of non reality school failed the car based on his visual inspection of a few old vacuum hoses! Strange cause it passed last time no problems! Felt as if I was dealing with a problem creator instead of problem solver!. .....Bye bye $50.00 Then I asked how much to bring the car to your 2015 standards they could not give me any number I just wanted a ballpark number is it $200 $500 $1000?? ...but they can not even give you the slightest estimate! This was the worst place ever. I took my car for a smog check and they couldn't find the problem. They kept my car for over a week. Once I got my car back I noticed that they had completely changed my whole interior with older parts. Nothing in my car feels the same. When I went to complain they said I was crazy. My aunt went to have a simple smog check done and they said they couldn't find the problem. They took advantage of the situation and ended up giving her a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT CAR. The mileage does NOT match up to the mileage she had. They did not take responsibility for what they had done and said that it was her car. She has been the owner of this car for 17 years, therefore she knows it inside and out. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE, they will still make you pay for the changes they made without your authorization. All of her sisters and daughters say that it is NOT her car. They kept the car for a week, it is impossible that they changed all of the interior parts such as the steering wheel, car seats, motor, and so many other things within the week. They will force you to pay for repair that your vehicle don't need.when you go to pick up your vehicle they will tell you that you authorized the repairs so there for you need to pay for the repairs or you will not get the keys for your vehicle .This is repairs that your vehicle didn't need and you didn't authorized it . So if you don't want t o spend money that you don't have to .I highly recommend you take it some were else. It need it to be there for two day but it stayed there for two weeks .
