Fast smog test service and friendly and knowledgeable.I never go anywhere else and price is affordable too.

SCAM! Will not accept the coupon they advertise online. Meanwhile, you will wait like 45 minutes and then he will just go up to the car of his choosing (in no specific order ) Super uncomfortable vibe , I did not feel safe as a female being there . ZERO customer service . every aspect of this experience made me think im in a totally different country! read more

This guy is a total scam artist! He's a liar and a cheat. He told me over the phone that it would be $36.75 as long as I presented the coupon found online. I did present the coupon and than he begins to tell me that I need a "star smog" which is a bunch of bull crap, it says my smog check is $60 plus tax! He wouldn't give me his name and he didn't care. I wish I had looked up these yelp reviews before continuing business with him. I will be glad. read more

White Ln Smog Check - This is the photo he said I needed to bring to get the "$36.75 price, yet he did not follow through with what he said." - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Bakersfield, California

No one picked up the phone the 3 days I called trying to make an appt to make matters worse when I showed up on Saturday they were closed I went across to big tires and they said they're notorious for not showing up to open read more

He got the job done! This man does not have people skills, customer service, so if you are looking for friendly and talkative business owner that makes you feel welcome this is not your place lol I said good morning twice he said nothing to me. He just ask for my paper work and ask me to move my car forward. I'm ok with his service not looking for a friend. Just need a smog check and got it. I paid and I'm out! I didn't give him a 4 star bc the place was messy. He should at least have a clean area for the waiting guest read more

I needed my car slogged- today. They have a nice coupon on the web. Unfortunately, they decided to take the afternoon off. They obviously don't need or want my business. read more

They do not answer the phone, you just get a recording. They do not open until 2:00. There was a discount posted online and when I presented it, they refused to accept it. I asked the guy how much and he pointed at a sign that indicated $59.00. A far cry from the $29.00 noted online. Needless to say, I left. 1 star only because I could not leave a "0"........... read more

This place should just close shop and save everyone some time. They issue a coupon for $ 36.75 but they are never there. I asked the shop next door when the shop would be open, and he said they are rarely there. This was at 10 a.m. on a Wednesday. Save your time, and find a shop that is open during normal business hours. It was a complete waste of time. read more

NEGATIVE STARS!! Poor customer service, does not value customer, looks at customer with disgust. Very uncomfortable presence. Only went there because of coupon but he wouldn't honor it. I recommend Pops Smog Check off of White Lane & Wible. Way better environment, excellent customer service at Pops smog and better pricing! I support small businesses but only when they value me as a customer, this place will never get a dollar from me. Go to place who makes you feel like they appreciate you.... Like Pops Smog! Also has very limited make as he goes business hours, no waiting room, only to be standing outside in cold or heat, very uncomfortable and nasty filthy. Don't waste your time here! read more

This place is a joke! Offers a coupon, but won't touch a Tahoe. No greeting, explanation or goodbye. This place is very sketchy. The man there was enough to scare my Dobie. Steer clear! read more

This is cool that they offer a super affordable smog option. Just make sure he's actually there. The shop is located in a row of other shops, and this guy doesn't have the same hours of operation. Their yelp page said they were open but, upon arriving, I was told by workers from the other shops that he is never in before 10am. wtf. So we were going to wait a bit but I decided to call. He answered. I asked if they were open. "Yes!" he assured me. I was looking at a closed garage door. I said, "I am here in the parking lot." Then he said "Okay I will open." but I thought you WERE open? Then he hung up. We waited. Five, ten, fifteen minutes. No sign of him. It was 9:55 by this point. We had wasted 45 minutes. I called him again. He answered. Then, before I could get a full word out, he hung up. I called back. Immediately went to voice mail, which let me know he ignored my call. We left and went to Blue Ribbon. If you want to do well in business you should get your shit together and at least not blatantly lie to people who want to give you their money. read more

They advertise cheapest in town but when you show the receipt they say they don't accept it if it's a small SUV. Ended up costing $60, took way too long. Go somewhere for $50 that's faster. read more

They not only fixed my car but was willing to do it on a Saturday. Their prices are the best in town and the quality of work is outstanding. read more

Always a easy in and out , you need to have your paper work in order , just do your part , rarely ever waited , 3 cars and a truck , no hassle process. , Going again in July , does not open till 10 A.M. ! read more

I was there before ten which is the opening time and waited for about an hour they never open.

Very good service. easy in and out. going there from 10 years. owner very friendly and honest guy.

Terrible. Lots of energy and time wasted. The shop closes early often even when they confirm they will be open until a certain time. They gave my dad the run around, telling him that x,y, and z needed to take place before the car could pass the smog check. Once he did all of that, the shop was closed every time we went to finish our smog check. Since they were closed we went to another shop (ADI Smog) and they let us know that the info we were given was incorrect and that the car was able to pass the test in it's current state. After weeks we finally received the smog check. Wasted money on White Lane Smog, should have just gone to ADI Smog first! read more

Lied about taking coupon over phone then charged more, did not offer refund. I was glad to get a discount but unfriendly service

This was my first time doing a smog check but from looking around to see which would be the less expensive this one was not that bad. I expected it to take a while but it only took 30 minutes, this involved waiting for the person who was in front of us. Price was affordable and the guy did it quick. I have no complains. read more

Really? Just does a visual check, plus ensure no alarms are on the computer. How does he get away with this. 34.95 charge is a come on, be prepared to be 65.00 dollars read more

His hours are the same as the DMV. If they're open so is he. It was $60 for the whole thing and he sent the info to the DMV. I was in and out within 15 mins. I was nervous because he was kinda rude at first but I just kept smiling and 3 mins in he couldn't help but chuckle and be kind to me. It's 9am and he spends his day(until 5) smelling engine oils in a garage. Yeah I'd be grouchy in the morning too. He's a family guy running his own little business. I'm glad I met him and I'd recommend coming here. It probably would of been cheaper if I used the coupon but I was to caught up that I forgot to tell him about it prior. Lol. Not a big deal. Support local business and don't forget to love your neighbors:) read more

nice and fast process. I think alot of negative reviews are maybe due to the guy being indian and the fact that he has a accent. i was in and out in 10 mins with coupon and cert $45. will be renewing here again read more

They have a coupon for 35 bucks online, but it's kind of misleading. When I presented it to the guy he was kind of rude about it and said the total would be 45 bucks so I left. I don't want to trust somebody with my car if I sense even a hint of dishonesty. I went to A1 Smog on Rosedale Hwy instead because I saw good reviews and I was happy there (took less than 10 min and the girl behind the counter was very nice) even though it was 5 dollars more ($50). Also, looking at the other reviews for this place I see several 5 star ratings that say exactly the same thing....like word for word. Seems like they are reviewing their own business just trying to boost their yelp rating. I can't speak for their quality and speed of service, but they don't seem very honest. read more

I have been coming here for years. I have 2 cars that I bring. He is always so kind, turns the air cooler on in back by the sofa so I'm comfortable when it's hot like today! As long as he is here I will bring my cars here. Thanks for being so kind. You have to keep in mind he can't just sit all day and wait..makes sense he has different hours of operation. He is quick..and professional!! read more

coupn worked :) but not the cheapest test in town. 34.75 for test 8.25 for the paper print out and 2 so they send it electronically 2 dmv $45 total test usual price is "$45" i paid $45 altogether they will only smog cars 2000 and up so less than 2000 cars go else where *sadness* read more

It was pretty fast. The one guy there is nice. Could be more specific on the coupon. It only covers the smog but not any of the other fees. Average business. read more

Don't bring your car here! After having car smogged here, didn't pass, made necessary repairs but he wouldn't re smog be cause he couldn't verify repairs. Bunch of crap, poor customer service!! read more

First time we called to see if it was busy the guy told us he was leaving for lunch. We asked what time he'd be back he said 2 and then just hung up on us. Called again today for pricing said 49.99 all angrily and hung up. So all in all very rude customer service both times and we won't be getting our cars smog here. read more

This place is just a hole in the wall, lousy service. Beware the coupon price is not what you pay! They also will charge you for a retest if you fail the first time (check engine light was on). Once I saw the place, I should have known better and driven away, my bad. read more

There web site clearly says $34.95 with coupon and lists all sorts of smog checks, including diesel! When I went in, Rude Dude said coupon no good for diesel, the price is $60.00. They say they are the cheapest in town, but the first three places I called were all about $10.00 less! read more

I was in a hurry to get a smog check. I saw this place and decided to drive in. The shop is simple, but the guy was nice and got the job done quickly. Will definitely get my other car done here when it's due. read more

I absolutely love this place, they are so good and professional, you are in and out in minutes. Pricing is just great, cannot get anywhere else. I tell all my friends to go to this place for smog check. 5 stars! read more

The coupon says "some cars" so they gave me the technicality of mine being on the other end of the "some." Way more expensive than the rest of the smog shops in Bakersfield. Go somewhere else. Will never be back. read more
