I can't say enough good things about Speed A Way Smog. I brought my Jeep in for a smog test, but it…read moredidn't pass because the emissions system showed as "not ready." Instead of just turning me away, they took the time to explain that sometimes the system needs to complete its drive cycle before it can pass. They recommended I drive about 50 miles on the freeway and then come back to be retested. I ended up making several trips back over the next week. Each time, they welcomed me, retested it at no extra charge, and patiently helped me figure out what was going on. Even though the Jeep still wasn't ready, they never acted bothered or treated me like an inconvenience. Eventually, I discovered that I had a loose battery clamp, which was keeping the system from staying ready. Once I fixed that, I came back and my Jeep finally passed. Throughout the entire process, everyone at Speed A Way Smog was friendly, honest, patient, and incredibly helpful. It's rare to find a business that goes above and beyond like they did. I highly recommend them to anyone needing a smog check.

The overall experience was disappointing, especially with the way the service was handled in front of my potential buyer. I expected a professional, straightforward experience, but instead left feeling that the service was unnecessarily frustrating and uncomfortable. I understand that businesses set their own prices, but $70 is considerably higher than what I've found elsewhere locally. Based on my experience, I would recommend shopping around and comparing prices before coming here.
