My experience at the retail store was quick and easy last weekend (16 Nov. 2019). I came to return…read morea wireless router. The problem I had recently was with customer service and locating this store. CUSTOMER SERVICE -- I called this location before I arrived to make sure that they were still open. No one answered the phone and the voicemail stated that they closed at 3pm, on Saturday. I was confused because a google search (via google reviews) showed that they were open for business. To add to more confusion, the actual COX website did not have any Cleveland locations on their list of locations so that got me frazzled because I didn't want to drive to Parma to see the store closed. I called Cox Corporate (not the store) and spoke to customer service Rep. He was not able to help me to determine where the Cleveland location was or what time they were opened. He did the google search I did but that can not be reliable at times. He also was unsure why the Cox website didn't list the store under locations. Anyway, I went to the Cox location via google search and hoped they were open since no one at the physical store was answering their phone. Thank goodness, they were open. Step it up Cox Customer Service. COX INTERNET -- I had a good experience with having Cox internet for 1 year and 2 months. I only cancelled because the plan increased in price after 1 year to $77 per month (normally, new customers get a deal for the 1st year). If I had a roommate then I probably would have kept my internet service but I have data on my phone. **** - 140 total reviews in 2019 - 349 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 23 November 2019

I called my son, who is sales representative For a major carpet company and has nothing to do with a cable company, he was able to get our one tv working using just one controller, not two, was able to get our tv in the bedroom back on line, was hooked up wrong and was also able to get my printer back on line! I would suggest that Spectrum invest in a training session for all of their technician, so their other customers would not run into these problems, also if they are not going to return phone calls as per their promise to call you back within 24 hours to just disconnect their phone service, it's worthless. I had called them a number of times, left messages and have never received the courtesy of a call back. They leave no instructions on their controllers or the new system, no channel guide, just tel you to hunt for the information on the computer. Their new controllers are much smaller and more difficult to operate that the old Cox controllers were, especially for an older person. We have been Cox customers since they came into the area, which has been many, many years.

WOW! Internet, TV and Phone - WoW has left this cable sticking out of ground (new installation) for several weeks, despite their promises of "escalating" the repair

    WOW! Internet, TV and Phone

WOW! Internet service has truly performed above expectations. I primarily use the internet for the…read moremost demanding of services-- particularly streaming and online gaming. These include online FPS's that require excellent latency or else they are unplayable. Even with multiple devices connected to the internet such as my Playstation 4, gaming pc, tablets, and phones, my internet speeds have never dipped below 60Mbps which is the plan that I am currently subscribed to. In some cases, they peak at over 100Mbps during initial speed testing. Latency/ping is truly fantastic as well. When conducting a speed test to the closest server, I am rarely over 30 ms. This is exceptional considering I prefer anything below 80 ms. Stability has been exceptional as I have yet to do a modem reset due to lost connectivity. I simply stay connected. The modem they provide is perfectly sufficient for a small number of devices and it has average range. However, for larger houses or multiple devices, I recommend investing in a third party router with external antennas that can provide 2.4ghz and 5ghz connectivity. This will ensure that your devices stay connected no matter where you are in the house. Initial installation was a breeze. They installed the line quickly, efficiently, and were professional at all times. I was able to connect flawlessly after the initial setup. However, I had to call and remind them to come and bury the line in the yard which they seemed to forget about. That disappointed me but it I forgave it as the first offense. I have read complaints from other customers and my experience has been quite different from them. I have a theory on this. This is pure speculation so please take it with a grain of salt. Most of the complaints I have read are from customers who have the 30Mbps plan. The 30Mbps plan is pretty much standard when it comes to internet services. Many customers are switching from Time Warner to WOW! to save the money but stay with their current speeds (most probably have the 30Mbps subscription). This is perfectly fine considering I switched from Time Warner as well to save money. However, I decided to go with the 60Mbps plan because I thought that since WOW! is a relatively new company, their 30Mbps service may be bogged down due to an influx of new customers combined with the lack of resources to handle that bandwidth when compared to a power house such as Time Warner. I suspect that as WOW! Internet grows, their 30Mbps service will see an improvement in stability and throughput. This is all, however, pure speculation supported only by my personal experience with the 60Mbps plan. In conclusion, I have been very satisfied with WOW! Internet service. The following is a condensed list of Pros and Cons. TL;DR Pros: Excellent speeds. Responsive latency. Stable connectivity. Decent Range for average use. Cons: Default modem lacks range for larger homes and multiple devices means investing in a third party router. Had to remind WOW! to come back and bury the line.

In the midst of that, the act manager Tarek Rida overheard we owned a business and told us about Verizon business and how it would "save us money" switching to a business account. Tarek added 2 extra lines to our account without our knowledge that we have been paying for months. After talking with customer service, (which I have all phone calls recorded) they stated this is fraud and he's been doing this. They said they could refund us credits from the amount we have been paying over the months but first had to go back to the store to have Tarek remove the lines and note in the account we may be refunded. This is because our account had been switched to a business account by him and only he could access to change things that customer service could not do. Went up to the store multiple times he wasn't there. Finally yesterday my husband went up again and Tarek was there. He said "he couldn't remove the lines" ?!! I went up today to have our account switched back to a regular account rather than business because it's been nothing but issues. Tarek got very hostile with me, said "I'm not doing that and I'm not helping you" and got up and walked away. He created fraud activity and refused to fix it. The police were called the the store today and a report against him has been made along with the fraud department with Verizon against him. Also have contacted my attorney and will be taking this matter against him farther. For any future Verizon customers avoid this location but especially Tarek Rida at all costs!! Also check your bills, do not fall for any scams in store when they tell you they can save you money, and never just hand over your devices to them. He added lines and an app on my children's iPads without us knowing and they've been receiving spam texts and calls and inappropriate messages ever since. We still are having trouble getting these lines removed and switching back to a regular consumer account from business.
