Outside the Apple Store at Crocker Park Shopping Center in Westlake -- 21 January 2023
Agnes I.

I haven't bought anything from this Apple store yet but I visited recently in January 2023 to get service done on my Macbook Air. I rate this Apple store 5/5 for customer service and a quick turnaround for fixing my MAC. BACK STORY -- My 2017 Macbook Air kept randomly shutting down even with the power on and even with the battery charged. I also saw a "service" prompt in my battery settings MACBOOK REPAIRS -- I originally took my MAC, bought for me as a gift in 2018, to MicroCenter, an Apple Authorized Retailer, but service was okay and I didn't fully understand the process as it wasn't explained to me well. After doing my research online, I went to this Apple store to get assistance. I took my Macbook to Apple (Crocker Park Mall location in Westlake), where they ran a diagnostic test for free to make sure that indeed my battery was dieing. The very nice Apple representative, a male, ordered a new battery which was actually already in stock that Saturday evening. I got a phone call and email the next morning, on a Sunday, stating that my MAC was ready to pickup. I arrived and picked up my laptop. The battery cost $129 and I was not charged for the new battery to be installed. After taxes, I paid about $150. I'm happy that I only had to wait for about 8 hours to pick up my laptop (I dropped it off on a Saturday evening at 8:30pm and it was ready by 10am the next day. NOTE -- Prices on repairs to your Macbook will vary depending on the year your Macbook was made and the type of battery needed. You may also have to wait longer for a battery to be ordered based on the type of battery needed. Overall, this review is only 4/5 because I haven't bought anything from this particular store yet. My reviews tend to show the overall experience so I will update this review once I buy a product from this store. My customer service experience was excellent so they deserve a 5/5 for that alone. **** - 10/150 total reviews in 2023 - 561 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 28 January 2023

That was the error message that he came up with.

The people at this location are rude and take advantage of people who are not looking for a new iPhone. I will be contacting an attorney about a class action lawsuit regarding my iPhone 12 that crashed during an update in which the sales rep at the store made it clear that it's out of warranty, and it wasn't designed to last more than 24 months. My wife made an appointment and went there in the morning to see what was wrong with your phone and they refused to fix a thing that has been repaired before. The phone has never ever been repaired. I was forced to drive from Columbus, Indiana to Westlake, Ohio to address the store And I was upset rightfully so that they accused me wife of something she didn't do. The sales rep told me to calm down because his coworker had his baby in the store. Why does he have his baby in the store during work hours? There's no sympathy from me.

So my wife broke her phone screen on her Samsung Galaxy s23 ultra and being a $1000 phone I wanted…read moreto get it replaced for her. Went to City Cell for the repair. Mine there told me it would be $200 +75 labor, and this was in line with what I was seeing the prices were online. I want to first give a kudos for Mike NOT charging that bullshit transaction fee that so many places are starting to do. So good on Mike for that one. The install job he did itself was great but there was a significant problem: this new screen was a generic 3rd party screen that was significantly smaller in size and noticeable because the S22 and up from Samsung have a semi curved edge that gives the phone a unique look. This was not the case with this new screen. Also this screen is incapable of producing 120hz even though the phone setting will still say that it's on. I mentioned this to Mike and I'm not trying to verbally beat the guy up in this review but he did get defensive and dismissive about it. I showed him side by side two identical phones (the one having this generic screen) the difference between 60hz and 120hz. He really wasn't interested. In the end I just requested that he puts the old cracked screen back on and I reluctantly had to make him a deal where he'd get this sub par screen back and keep $40 out of all this. So he did refund the money and losing out $40 was still better than making a civil case out of this. But I'm just left wondering how someone who works on screens doesn't know the difference in screen refresh rates.

The owner Mike continues to be the best to work with. I've purchased several phones and cell phone…read moreplans with him over the past 5 years and have no complaints. He's always gone out of his way to help me. Highly recommend.

This was a tough decision on how many stars to provide. I give the customer service 3 stars once…read morethey finally get to you to assist in anything you need. However, the process and time you will spend there is 1 Star. We have been at this location 4 times in the last two years. Each time we are there 2-4 hours. We go during the week days when they are less busy, but even when there are only one or two customers before us, it is still a minimum of an hour wait. We have bought two new phones, traded in another phone and had them help us with a new glass cover on the 4 occasions. They are slow, not organized in any way, and I'm not sure why we keep going back except that we have been Verizon customers for years and this is our easiest access location. Just know going in that you will need to not be in a hurry and you will waste your entire day there.

Went to the store because me and my family have been having issues with our line. My husband called…read morethe day before to try to handle it over the phone and the associate over the phone was rude and unhelpful, stating he needed my husband to go in store to help him with account issues. News flash you only need the phone for tech support our account can be accessed by any device with wifi. So theres lesson one for the verizon professionals. So i went into the store and when i had mentioned my husband called a sales associate name Hunter immediately told me that my husband could be a little nicer on the phone and refused to help me as well. So now im going to Tmobile because I dont understand how a business expects to keep a customer they wont help. Especially for $200/month for 2 of the top service lines you can pay for.
