Spectrum sound is good for bigger projects. If you need something smaller done like fixing guitar pedals etc., I would recommend not going here unless you are made of money. I ended up dropping a pedal off here on a Tuesday that needed a quick soldering--I had a show on Friday and I figured it would be quicker to drop it off at a pro and have him fix it in 10 minutes vs driving across town and borrowing a solder gun. Unfortunately, it did not make the deadline (which I can appreciate being backed up so no biggie), however I was surprised at the end cost. Soldering a loose wire and "reworking" stuff apparently ended up costing my $40 deposit plus an additional $40 (so pressing the gun to the board for a few seconds was $80). Mind you, he did have to take some bolts off the back and remove a few screws. But, a man is worth his wages and he did earn it, however I would not say it was worth it, especially when it was such a small fix. So bigger stuff I'd trust with Uncle Alberts (however he is backed up like crazy for a reason). Bigger projects you need sooner rather than later take it here. Smaller stuff, go anywhere else. read more
