According to the SONY website it could be a possible failure of the LED backlights. I emailed American Consolidated Electronics to see if they agreed that was what they thought it might be. They emailed me back the next day, and confirmed that that was probably the problem and gave me an estimate of how much it would cost and since they don't make 3D TV's anymore, I thought $285 was reasonable to get it fixed. When I brought the TV in for repair, Mr. Mortazavi was very nice, and explained what he would do. When I got the TV back, the TV worked great again! It appeared the battery failed so a replacement was ordered, which is the most common cause of such situations. And she found a replacement that was very affordable ($70). The battery was replaced the next Sunday at my home again but power still didn't come one. So she re-inspected the inside of the laptop, made sure everything was connected properly, blew out the inside, took the new battery out and did some other things I cannot tell you what they were. But it has come back to life! I was fearful I would have to buy a new laptop. But thankfull NO!!! And the charge was an all-inclusive flat rate of $125.
