This is the worse. Spectrum sucks. I went there today with 3 bad remote controllers. I signed in. The manager was walking by and I said I just need to swap these controllers for some that work. He said I can't do that. We have to go into the system and put it in there. I told him I was in a rush and was just there on my lunch. He didn't give a shit. He went over and played twitch a tv. Now there was a lady worker with 2 people just sitting there talking and laughing. Meanwhile instead of helping getting the line down the manager went into the back room. Now I have 8 people ahead of me. There was 1 other worker and he got up and went in the back room. Now we have 1 worker the lady still talking and laughing with no people getting helped. One guy was there to pay his bill but no one was there to help him so he said fuck this and walked out. Final after a 45 minute wait the one guy comes back and calls me over. I told him I needed replacement controllers. He said no problem and handed me 3 controllers. I told him these aren't the right ones. He told me that is all we have. So after a 50 minute wait I y told kim to keep the wrong ones. Oh, and the lady worker is still there bullshitting and laughing with 10 people waiting to be taken care of. The store is a joke. If the equipment wasn't so shitty it wouldn't break down so often. People were bitching and you would think that the manager would have helped or told the lady worker to take care of some but we wouldn't have want to disturb her conversation. I pay for whole home, internet, cable, landline and 3 cellphone. I can not get the internet, landline or cable to work. Today C/S states they are doing repairs. Yesterday it was my equipment. So what's the truth. Plus I have the worst resection for the cell. I pay about $300.00 a month for this great service. I walked in to return a modem and the person working at the register, who wasnt doing anything, told me to "sign in over there, Boss"....Strike one. Then after I sign in and the computer instructs me "shop around" while this guy stares at me from behind his desk. I stand there in front of him and he just sits there silent now avoiding eye contact. He's listening intently to the "poor oppressed immigrant" customer speaking Spanish at the register next to his. Now Im thinking there is some racial stuff going on. Ignoring me, calling me Boss, I get some bad vibes from this dude. They have no regard for their customers time as evidenced by the inordinate amount of time they expect their customers to stay on the phone listening to their various self serving annoucements instead of just patching them through to the help they need. They lie to their customers at every turn with deceptive practices promising this and that and then not following through. Do not trust anything they say. But this is what you get when a company has a monopoly and the Feds do nothing to break it up. Monopoly's do not care if their customers are satisfied, they know there is no other choice for internet provider and YOU ARE STUCK. Call your state's representatives and complain. Spectrum sucks. Have had it for about 5 months and i would say rabbit ears are more reliable. No storms or crap weather all day but internet, cable everything has been down since 2pm, it is now 1am. I visited this location to pay my bill via the automated terminal. I entered the store at 10:05am ( 5 minutes after opening). I was informed by one of only 2 employees that the automated payment system was not working and that I would have to sign in via a computer adjacent to the front door. This computer was also not working and the employee had to sign me in manually. Once signed in your name goes up on a tv monitor and you are waitlisted. This experience was akin to visiting DMV and getting a root canal. This location has malfunctioning equipment and is drastically understaffed. I will soon be saying goodbye to Spectrum and exploring other options. read more

They messed up my address by reversing apartment and building number, even though I asked them to double-check that they had the right order, and they said that even if they got it wrong it would be simple to call back and get it fixed. The next day, our internet goes down...because we were in our apartment, instead of some other apartment. So we call, and spend two goddamn hours on hold and being transferred from person to person, before being told they cannot do anything, and we have to come in again. We don't have a car, and buses don't run near the store. It costs us $30 in Lyft money every time we come here, but they don't offer transportation cost refund, or credit, or anything. This isn't necessarily the fault of the particular people at this store, but rather the infernal, garbage company that is Spectrum. Fuck this company, and the people at this store. Spectrum is the worst company ever. Will be switching services to someone else that cares about their word and their customers. Back in January we were told that we'd getting 2 months free with a promotion because for a year our internet and wifi was not hooked up properly. And in January our wifi kept going in and out. In February we received a bill so we called to ask about the promotion we were told that we would be getting the 2 months free. We have still been having spotty wifi service so we called this morning to find out that were not getting the promotion because we do not qualify. So even though we were told by 2 sales people we were getting it were not. And we were told by billing that they can't help us they can only talk to their sales people about how they word things. So after a month and a half of being told we'd get 2 free months they have pretty much said theirs nothing they can do for us. Spectrum doesn't keep their word. It shouldn't matter if the 2 sales people worded it wrong. And the billing was very rude about it. read more

Talking to Time Warner Cable over the phone to make just the simplest changes on our service is like pulling teeth. Their central processing center must be in Outer Mongolia or something. We had to repeat everything we said and have him repeat what he said. When we got all done we will still need to go to our local office and talk to a human face to face just to make sure we are getting what we want and not getting a crappy downgrade that's infested with hidden fees. read more

Ever since Time Warner became Spectrum the "new and improved" internet speed is horrible! We even bought and installed a $2000.00 commercial router from a private company called Preville Technology. Still no internet service! This after we upgraded to the super high-speed after Spectrum told us we needed more bandwidth. When you call customer service they go through their trouble shooting sheets of paper and have you check every single thing insisting that Spectrum is not the problem. Honestly, it's so much bs that I need a tractor to drive through it! Face it, things have changed for the worse now that Time Warner is out and Spectrum is in! We talked to the neighbors to see if they were experiencing similar problems, and what do you know...they have all been experiencing the same thing and it's all been since Spectrum took over Time Warner! Unfortunately we do not have Verizon Vios available, so it is not presently an option. There is another company called Massive Mesh (some RPI grads start up in Troy) that I will be calling next week and hopefully if they are not in my area, they will be shortly. If not maybe the time has come to cut the cord. Honestly with the service we have, what would we be missing anyway? read more

Absolutely TERRIBLE customer service. They will not honor Time Warner packages. They bricked my whole house DVR, then told me they could restore the service for an additional $100/month. And no, this was not for nonpayment--I'm on autopay. They're just greedy, extorting pricks. read more
