We recently had all our back windows, our slider and big window in front of our house replaced. We were highly satisfied. Adam and Jeremy were our installers and they were wonderful even while working in oppressive heat for 3 days. Chris Pena and/or our salesperson Kenny came every day to check on the progress the guys were making and double checking their work. We were impressed by that for sure. They replaced a deck slider, front door, and windows in several projects 13 plus years ago. Some of the window screens required repairs. I called them and they told me the easiest way to get the screens to them. The 1st work day after I brought them the screens they called and said they were repaired and I could pick them up. When I got there they were ready for me. I asked how much I owed and I was told since I had purchased them there they do not charge for these repairs. I'm not sure if any other business/contractor provides such a great warranty but I do know that after 13 years I was extremely pleased that I had hired Pena for the original work and that they honored their customers by doing this! Six years ago we had 12 double hung Windows replaced on our home. The quality of the windows made in the USA, the expertise and professionalism of the installers, and the customer service were outstanding. In fact, we recommended the company to two relatives who were also pleased with Pena. Forward to 10/18 in a different home --we had a large sliding glass door to our deck replaced with a Pena Restoration Unit. We are pleased with the salesman, the experienced installers, but most importantly, the quality of the unit: beautiful finish on the framing inside and outside, "Raise and Tilt" internal blind mechanism, insulation properties, and overall quality. And, it comes with a lifetime warranty! One example of the attention to detail: The outside framing was ordered to match the grey color of the siding. Chris Pena came to look at work that was improperly done and was condescending and talked to me like it was my fault. Pena just didn't want to do the work necessary according to their quote. They took a month and 2 trips to fix their screw up. Never do business with Pena. read more

Pena(Chris) replaced all our windows with much more efficient and nice looking windows. This is our second house replacing all our windows with Pena. Both times they are very competitve with their pricing and won't try and pull the wool over your eyes like some other company. What I like about them is they don't spend time putting down their competitors(bad business). Chris explains and shows you how GREAT their product is. And if you need service they are there to make sure you are a happy customer. A lot of competitors out there and sometimes hard to figure out the difference. I contracted RM Pena to replace six windows as a rough install. My expectation was that we would have new windows with little additional work required. I was disappointed. First, I experienced difficulties with the cleanliness of the workers and had to shampoo carpets after the "install day." They did not protect the carpets in any way, and I returned from work to witness the workers entering/exiting on a winter day, no carpet protection, no boot wiping or covering. More importantly, after the project was finished, the interior molding on on the new windows was very far removed from the walls. I contacted them and, to their credit, they apologized for the carpets (no offer to pay for cleaning) and tried to correct some of the molding issues. The principal came to my home to review my continued complaints, but the ultimate solution was unsatisfactory... when I prepared to repaint the interior walls of one of the involved rooms, which involved moving some furniture (that they clearly didn't move during the install, but which they should have, since I was paying for a rough install), I saw extremely large gaps between two of the new window moldings and the walls. I elected to fix these issues myself with a lot of caulk and careful painting, as my repeated requests to remedy problems were met with nice manners but no thorough assessment and remediation plan. I would love to post pictures of these "post-remediation" defects here, if I could. Additionally, the caulking on the outside of the house was obviously very hastily and unevenly applied... it is a color that matches the window frames, but not the siding. Imagine running your finger down the side of your exterior window frames with a different color that gets well onto the siding... it looks ridiculous, and I'll have to spend more time fixing that. Given the reviews I had read, and the price I paid, I expected more. I was left feeling that it was a rush job, and I was not happy with the result or the post-install remediation. The windows themselves, I am happy to say, seem to be of excellent quality. read more

We manage a small apartment complex in Burnt Hills and had 50 new fiberglass doors installed. The door install went fine and we are satisfied with them. However, we also had 50 brand new storm doors installed - and it is with that installation, we were not very happy. Apparently, the openings were not fully measured, as many of the storm doors had significant gaps with sunlight pouring thru the gap between the jamb and the storm. Although Pena was advised there were problems with the storm doors, the problem was never corrected. We had to have our site manager correct the problems and then we had to insulate the gaps at a number of the apartments. If they had been measured and made to the correct size, there would not have had that problem - but it appears that they just ordered a stock item which were off more than 1" in width. Otherwise, than that - our residents are happy with the new fiberglass doors - much more energy efficient. read more

Pena replaced several large casement windows for us. Their price was competitive (not the cheapest but you get what you pay for.) we were interested in replacing some old, leaking windows with new that would cut down on outside noise. We could not be more happy with the job they did. The installation took 2 days, and the guys who did the work (Evan and Blake) were outstanding! They did a careful, thorough job of installing the windows and were great about being respectful that they were working in our home. They cleaned up after themselves and were friendly and pleasant to have around while they were working. We would recommend them highly. read more
