She said she could help. And she did. She took my order. She made suggestions. The glass edges would be polished. No sharp edges. I was so relieved that I honestly started to tear up. When I picked up the order a few days later, the total for 6 custom cut glass shelves came to just under $100. The store is a friendly place with a large yellow lab serving as official greeter. I searched online and found a local company, Koops Overhead Doors. Koops jumped to the top of my list due to several very positive reviews. I contacted the owner that night and he said he'd come out first thing in the morning. The next day he checked out the issue, which as expected couldn't be fixed because parts were unavailable. He showed me a new system with improved features, which I agreed to purchase. Fortunately, he was able to have an installer do the replacement the next morning. The installer arrived on time the next day and started by removing the old track and wiring. He had the whole new system up and running in under an hour. He programmed the remote, showed me how it worked, and walked me through the features. It's funny to get excited about a garage door opener, but this thing is so quiet compared to my old one, and it has built-in Wi-Fi, motion detection, and a camera that can identify people and animals. While waiting for install, I called Luis several times with minor questions as this was a big deal for me and I was anxious. The ENTIRE installation crew was the best ever (DJ, Leo, Stan, 2 Dylans and must apologize if forgetting someone). They were friendly, competent, dedicated to doing a good job and willing to go above and beyond. They took time to explain everything and did a through clean up before leaving. I can't share how excited I am about the new windows. I didn't fully understand the contract in the…read morebeginning, specifically that "painting or preparation for painting " is not included. What this means is that after they put the window in, there might be some small gaps or damage to Sheetrock, where it's not quite ready to be painted without some Sheetrock mud and sanding. After I reread the contract, and fully processed it, I was ready to move on. There were a few minor issues such as the wrong screens coming in, a window that broke during transit, and the wrong roller, but we were able to come up with a solution for everything. It's not a high profit operation, so they don't just throw cash at you such as some larger companies, when there's a mistake, but each solution was fair to all involved. The reason I went with Window King is because they're the only authorized distributor of Okna products in our area, and those were the only slider windows where both sashes move and pop out. This makes it easy to replace the sash if something breaks, and it also allows for easy cleaning of my second story windows. I am truly amazed by the color accuracy, light transmission, and lack of heat transmission of these windows. In the past, there would be a warm spot on the carpet where the sun spot hit. Now, the sun spot is the same temperature as the surrounding area. According to the stickers, there's almost have the light coming in, but they are so much easier to clean, that the amount of light actually feels higher than the awning windows I replaced. They are easy to operate, look great, and come with a lifetime warranty. The pricing is extremely reasonable for what you get. The installers did a great job, and were a pleasure to work with.

When I asked if they had received everything they needed and I could schedule a date to have my roof fixed, I was told the new management hadn't reviewed the paperwork yet and they couldn't come fix my roof until it was reviewed. Apparently the new owners are entirely electronic, and didn't have my contract on file. I just want my roof fixed! Why is it always such a headache to get these companies to do what they said they promised to do?
