We were interested in replacing the sixteen-year-old carpeting on the stairs from the living room to the second floor. While we did explore searching for samples at several locations, the final decision was made to purchase from Ballston Carpet and Tile because we had narrowed down our possible choices to three - all of which were sold by BC&T. We were very pleased with Craig who assisted my wife in understanding the differences in the fabrics, their wearability, the anticipated delivery times, and who tolerated our slow decision making and the amount of time we held samples at home trying to make a final decision. Craig also kept us apprised of the manufacture's production schedule. The fellow who came to the house to determine the measurements was not only friendly, but also very knowledgeable and willing to share his knowledge regarding proper installation methods and wear. With his input we were able to arrange to include two scatter rugs from the same bolt of carpet to be ordered. Finally, the installer, Justin, was friendly, and did a very professional job of removing the old carpeting and installing the new carpeting. We are very happy that we chose Ballston Carpet and Tile to do this project and have no reservations with recommending them to others. read more

I think this is my first 5 star review. These guys were fanatic to work with. They made my life so easy. I dealt with Craig and it was a pleasure. I got my samples quickly, and from sample to custom cut to installation was only a few weeks, maybe less. I had Ballston Spa Carpet and tile do three projects for me.  Carpet, LVT, and tile. They are very helpful, from selecting the product, to getting me samples to see what the product would look like in my house. Best of all is the installation.  I have never met more talented, caring, detailed oriented installers.  These guys clearly have years of experience and really know what they are doing.  True professionals in their occupation. Not only did they do a great job, they were on time each day, and even stayed late to finish the job on the last day.  Even though they stayed late they still cleaned up better than any contractor I have ever had do work for me.  I highly recommend them for any flooring project. read more

Ballston Carpet and tile is the worst company I've ever dealt with. 4 months ago I paid far to much to have my bathroom floor done. I was told it would be done in one day. Day one Cory shows up with his little boy and starts work. Listening to him scream at his 10 year old son I felt the need to take the child under my wing and take care of him. Meanwhile I get a call form Ballston Carpet telling me it was going to cost $350.00 more for parts and labor. I baby sat the child and fed him and entertained him until 11:45pm and Cory only had half the bathroom done. He said he'd be back the next day to finish. He never showed up and I was stuck with an unusable bathroom. (in a one bathroom home). I called Andrew and was promised he'd come the following day without his child and finish. Day 3 he shows up with his child again and proceeds to trash my home. He finished laying the flooring but did an awful job and left me with a mess all over my home. There were gouges taken out of the bathroom walls, Broken trim around the door ways and chipped paint all through my kitchen. The entire house that he trampled through was littered with trash and pieces of the work he was doing. The bathroom sink was clogged with the glue he used to affix the flooring down with. The insulation between the floor and the basement was all pushed into the basement with Corys garbage thrown down there as well. Over the past 4 months Andrew swore he would fix the damages and promised me so much. I'm still waiting, still can't use the bathroom sink properly and disgusted and embarrassed of my bathroom when people come over. I not only have witnesses to this fiasco, but pictures and videos. So much for supporting small home town businesses. If you value your home at all, do NOT allow these people to enter it. read more

Joe, the owner is great! As for the rest of his staff they are useless, disorganized and completely clueless on what the word customer service means. I don't understand why Joe keeps them around other than they must be family or something. He ends up running around fixing all of their mistakes all day long. I will say there are a couple older gentlemen that do some of the installs that are super nice but Andrew and a couple of the younger guys in the company should get fired for the way they treat customers. At the end of the day you should never feel like you were disrespected, yelled at and ripped off. Therefore, I cannot recommend this company since Joe isn't always there. read more

After, numerous attempts by me and Ballston Carpet, to get Stainmaster to send a representative to verify that the carpet, that was purchased 3 years ago, was faulty and provide a satisfactory replacement, Craig and Andrew stood behind their carpets and were able to assist us. Ballston Spa Carpet and Tile sell great products, but any place with contracts to major distributors can accomplish this feat. Sadly, that is where the positives end. My wife and I just had our entire upstairs replaced with new hard wood (800 sqft). We talked with their sales associate Kirk, who habitually smells of marijuana, in our home on few occasions when planning the job. He verbally agreed to a few details (installing door trim and baseboards, leveling the subfloor through sanding) which he took note of, then failed to add into the write up or further address at all. The install ran a day long due to "technical difficulties" with the nail gun. Half the baseboard was installed, half of which showed gapping and, after measured by running a level down the board, was proven to be installed very poorly. When confronted, the odorous Kirk back pedaled on our previous conversations and left us with no real solution. Again, their products are decent. But much like the others reviews on Yelp have noted, their staff is of severe lower quality. You'd be better off purchasing a product somewhere else and finding a good contractor on Angie's List for the install. read more

This is the second time we have used Ballston Tile & Carpet. Two years ago we replaced our living room carpet and were very pleased with the quality price and service we received. So we just finished our basement and had them do the flooring. We worked with Andrew on picking out what best suited our needs; he was great to work with and recommended some great products. The flooring around the bar area is luxury vinyl tile which looks great. The rest of the basement, including the stairs, is covered in a nylon Berber carpet which also looks great and feels nice too! The installers did a great job and were fast and neat. Contrary to some of the negative reviews i have found, dealing with them is a pleasurable experience. I would not hesitate to use them again should we need flooring in the future. read more

Justin came to fix some factory installation issues in our brand new carpet. Justin spent nearly 3 hours fixing everything to our satisfaction. He is very through, and is very concerned with the customer being satisfied. He even went so far as to assist me with lifting a TV to allow the cable installation, when the cable employee said he could not "touch it". Above and beyond, and a great job! read more

I do not recommend them at all. Twice they installed carpets in my townhouses and twice they wore shoes and left small nails, stones, gunk on the carpets. Even though I had it written in the contract the 2nd time, after it happened the first time, trying to give them a second chance. Since the last carpet was installed, i noticed some type of bugs in it, and found they are called Stink Bugs, they are the same color as the multi-tan/cream/brown neutral carpet, and they are living in it. Installed Fall 2015 so I thought they were coming in from the wind when the doors opened, however, now I believe they were in the carpet. They did not respond to my emails relating to the shoes on the carpets 2 times either, so I didn't bother contacting them about the Stink Bugs in this one. They also left rake-like scratches along all the wooden baseboards and never replied to that email either. Have been jerked around for 4 weeks now about getting a carpet remnant bound. After taking our money we were told it would take 2 to 5 days. After a month of waiting now they won't even return my wife's calls. At this point I just want the carpet back. Do not use these guys. read more

The woman I first dealt with was helpful and they do have any product I could use. A fellow came out to measure the two rooms I want carpeted, as well as the stairway. He was here on Friday the 15th and said he would have the estimate by Monday the 18th. I've been having work done all summer so I'm anxious to get things wrapped up. Wellll, no one has given me an estimate yet. I went to the Carpetland in Saratoga Springs on Church St. and had a rep come out the next day, and the estimate the next day after that.
