I went in because I had a few questions regarding my cell service. The wait to receive service was ridiculous. I don't understand why the managers and supervisors stay in the back when there's so many people waiting. They should come out and help the customers instead of thinking that they're better than that. And after finally getting called up the girl who helped us, it was very rude and had no customer service skills. Her name is Kiana and she has a bad attitude. Almost like she hates working with people. I couldn't get a connection in the store and she kept blaming it on me. She kept telling me to give her my phone because she could get it connected. After she tried a couple of times her manager told her that there was an outage in the area. She didn't even apologize to me for thinking.I was stupid. After I explained everything to her about the question, I had, she still didn't know what I was talking about. I told her that i received a notification about an E-sim update and she looked at me like I was speaking Chinese. She kept saying, I don't know what that is. The manager once again had to tell her what it was.And then she proceeded to tell me that she couldn't help me with that. So needless to say, I wasted all my time in that store.And then to be treated rudely by that girl Kiana. She needs to retrain on how to handle customers and have better customer service skills. Constantly going up on price. Bad customer service. I has to wait an hour just to return a modem.

I have been a long-time customer. My cable TV is showing unavailable on random channels and the DVR will not record the "unavailables" or manually when you press record. Sent a technician out and said it was an "area problem" but no one is going to fix it. It has been 12 hours (so far) and it still does not work. I went to spectrum to return some equipment and I was told by a spectrum employee named Nathan that he would ship out 2 WiFi 7 extenders after I asked for them even though I couldn't sign up for a cellular plan because I owed more for a phone than could be bought out. I never received the extenders and they never showed up on my account in the spectrum app. So I returned some more equipment to spectrum today including the router because I am using my own router and spectrum raised my bill by another 5 dollars. It should have gone down 5 dollars not go up. I only signed up two months ago. Anyway I got lied to again about what my bill should be and I threatened to cancel my service and then they agreed to lower my bill by $5.00. I don't trust spectrum. Not anymore. They also tried to get me to leave the store while waiting for my turn but they said I would have to call to cancel service and return the equipment to ups. Am so glad I am finally done ever coming inside here again! Praise the Lord, I am not even very religious. Called in multiple times, they have me the run around several times on cancelling my service. No matter what I told them, that I already started paying for another provider, they would not cease with the desperate negotiating to retain me. I understand this is their responsibility in their department, literally assigned to retain customers, but there needs to be a limit; there needs to be a balance between business and not harassing customers. After at least a couple hours cumulative being sent from department to department, trying to verify security details, then being confused by what service I had, then starting all over every time they transferred me to a higher person, they told me it was best I do it in person. I would have further persisted, but was in no place to do anything but be unfairly rude to any individual that they transferred me to next, since this feels like more a corporate situation than any one employee's doing. I finally made it to the store in person and the wait was ridiculous @ 9 in the morning. I was 5th in line. They told me it would take about 30 minutes. 1.5 hours later, they finally saw me. Spectrum mobile is the worst service. They charge a very high rate and customer service is terrible. Due to their lack of promptness they charged me a full months service. Then the customer service rep. asked me how much my new provider was charging me and when I told her she said that Spectrum charges that amount and that I was on a old plan and that I should have called to get a reduced bill. Same old terrible customer service. You walk in the door to be greeted by a massive crowd of people standing around waiting for service. There is almost always at least 30 customers minimum waiting according to their waitlist sign board. I left and got Google fiber instead, which was super easy and they came on the same day and installed it for free. Went to H‑E‑B to pay Spectrum bill, they told me I could not pay the bill with a copy of the bill. The next day I went to Walmart and they would not allow me to pay the bill because I had a temp, drivers license. I then took my third Uber to get to the spectrum store at the mall there.After waiting two hours, the man at the counter said that spectrum would not accept cash. I explained to him that ai was hit by a car, reason for the cast and told them that a charge for the ambulance went though over drafted me and there would not be enough money to pay the bill until my social security came in on the 12th. I'm 67 and the cost of 4 Ubers to pay that bill was 110.00 dollars, more than the bill at Spectrum. I call to reach Spectrum in New York. They had to verify who I was. The address on record was not my new address. I told the man I moved my account and called Spectrum to set up a new account. They verified they provided service and he charged for set up and I had to drive over to the Spectrum Store to pick up equipment which they said was easy to install. I went the entire week-end trying to figure out how to hook up the equipment. I called spectrum and they said they would have to send a technician out to fix. He gets there and tells me they have never serviced the address there. I had to take the equipment back to the location I picked it up, and they argued with me and assured me there was service. After an hour of that BS, he refunded my money. I wont pay these people another dime, and anyone who uses these people are asking for trouble. New York would not help because they had my old address, they had account number and my phone numbers. I just stopped, hung up and let it go. Now for the Grand finale, I purchased a gift card with cash at the Grocery Store, went home went into my account and was promptly told that Spectrum did not accept gift cards as form of payment. I was a Spectrum customer for 5 years, but this year was the worst service I ever have had with the internet, horrible, receiving texts quite often from Spectrum like this: "There is a service outage affecting your area" or: "internet connection is not stable" Today September 18, 2024 finally get my home phone (kept same phone number) transferred to Google fiber, so I have the landline (home phone) and the basic 1GB for internet service as well for: $85.05 and I am still saving: $33.43 dollars. (last bill with Spectrum was: $118.48) As always when you call for deactivate a service they will give you many offers, like stay with us and you will pay less for internet service, for 1 year then goes to the normal price, or you will have a mobile phone service for free (but just for 1 year) Get rid of Spectrum now, get better service and save money! read more

Spectrum is a demon sent from the pit of Hades disguised as a WiFi service. The fact I am forced to leave this service a 1 star review feels morally bad. After moving from San Antonio to Houston Texas, I've had more than 30-40 area wide outages. These outages always come with an expected resolution time, usually 3-4 hours out, and eventually become an all day/night long possession of my wifi connection from the evil one. And you know what the evil one does? Promises you some money in order to keep you. I fell for it. I had so many outages that the month of November was completely free. Only to turn around and get a $168 charge automatically debited from my account unbeknownst to me. Apparently, the notice of the upcoming charge was sent out in my previous statement (which was $0) but I missed it. The devil is in the details. I must say, the only seemingly good thing about spectrum is the employees taking calls. Which are usually sweet and nice sounding and very helpful. So I secured a refund. Kinda. These nice employees told me the entire charge would be debited back to me and of course part of it was and the other part credited back to my account to pay for a service that is now experiencing outages for probably the 50th time. They say the devil won't show up being red with a pitchfork and I believe that now. He shows up masquerading as sweet employees from mid Ohio that work in a system destined for disturbing your peace. Crazy thing is, I wouldn't even recommend Spectrum TO THE DEVIL HIMSELF. I think he has better things to do than sit here and be interrupted while working from home and trying to watch the National Championship. My prayer is that the Great White Hope (Donald Trump) bans this company out of existence. They don't deserve to be in operation. And with that, credits all the people that paid for this service every month's payment back to restore balance after the torture they've released on humanity. I've been a loyal customer for 4 years. Decided to cancel the service, because the internet connection was not good through the day, and to get a fair price you have to jump 20 hoops. On top of all that, they are charging me a full month for four days worth of service, they have a huge lack of communication that's by design to help them cash in the full month. I tried to get clarification on this and this is the response of the service rep: Thank you so much for your patience XXX! I do see that the account was disconnected on 5/14. This was during the billing cycle that had already started on 5/10 and there is a current balance of $XX.XX that would be for this final cycle. I do want to make you aware that Spectrum is a monthly subscription service therefore generating the bill at the beginning of the cycle month, and any changes to your services are not reflected until your next billing cycle to include for cancellations. At this time, we are not able to credit for unused services due to a cancellation during the final cycle. Avoid this internet provider at all costs! read more

If I could go negative I would. This company overcharged. Recently I moved to a new address and transferred the service they gave me a better deal but when the bill came they charged the old address for the full month and the new address for the full month. Going back and forth for a week emailing their executives and they gave me the run around that someone will call you in 24 hours. This took several days. Finally, someone called and said the same thing their rude customer service said to begin with with a condescending tone. That I got a better deal that I should not have and I got uninterrupted service. The way he spoke to me was that I should be thankful. I am giving this rating because, and I hope others will read this so they will not fall into this BS, I canceled my Internet services with Spectrum on 2 May, my billing cycle is from 20 April to 19 May, I was charged for the full month of service. I called Spectrum to see if I was going to be reimbursed for the days I did not use their services, NO was the answer. It is unfair and complete BS that a company can rip off people because they decided to move to another provider. Word of advise to the people reading this, if you are going to change services, do it at the end of your billing cycle and make sure you cancel AUTOPAY and paperless billing before you cancel services. I am sure the other providers out there do the same BS, but for now, Spectrum is off my list of providers and if anyone ask my advice on them, I will tell them, HECK NO, stay away go with someone else. read more
